About

Brandt’s Landing Marina is a privately owned marina located on the north shore of Orcas Island. The marina was created in the 1960s when a permit was issued to excavate a manmade canal for the purpose of mooring boats on the north shore. The Brandt Family has retained ownership of the marina since the 1970’s. The marina is conveniently located adjacent to the Eastsound Airport and has reserved space for the benefit of Smugglers’ Villa Resort, a condominium complex developed by Hal Brandt. Brandt’s Landing Marina is the most northerly marina in the San Juans with year round protected moorage. The location is a great starting point to explore the State Parks of Sucia, Matia & Patos Islands, or to venture to the Canadian Gulf Islands.

Approach Information: In the center of the main channel between the two steel pilings at the end of the jetty the approach depth is 3' at 0 tide (see here for more approach info: http://brandtslandingmarina.net/about/when-you-arrive/). Please adjust your approach times accordingly if your draft exceeds the water available for approach. Once inside the surge gates hourly and nightly moorage check-in is on the starboard side near the gangway. There's a temporary parking spot just forward of the gangway to park in and check in. The harbormaster is located at the top of the gangway in a small wooden building with a blue roof. Check in upon arrival but call ahead if possible to secure a slip.

Mean Low Water Dock Depth While the majority of the time we have 6+ feet of water in the marina, there are rare occasions where -3 tides or lower will cause the water level to drop to 4'. Be advised: if you draw more than 4' depth and want to stay during a -3 or lower tide, you will not be able to stay at Brandt's Landing.
