Welcome to Canyon Club Resort Marina, Cape May’s premier full-service boating facility. Located on the northwest corner of Cape May Harbor at the eastern entrance to the Cape May Canal, Canyon Club is the regional center for boating and its related activities.
Whether it’s an overnight stay, a yacht club rendezvous, big game fishing trip or service and repair, Canyon Club is second to none in catering to the seasonal slip holder and traveling yachtsman.
Staff was excellent/ pool- showers- heads all nice shape restaurants tough to get to but uber is ok
Great Stop, easy in and out. Fuel pumps on Docks.
Paul, dockmaster, was very nice, professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. First time there. dock very nice, facilities very nice, staff friendly.. Over all a nice experience
Excellent , very accommodating .even the General manager gave us a shuttle ride after hours as he heard that shuttlle wasn’t available to us .
It was our first time to Cape May and Canyon Club. Paul was amazing in guiding us into.the marina and taking care of us. Excellent customer service from all the staff. Property is very nice and very close to downtown. Will.be back!
Canyon Club was expecting our arrival, had a wonderful support team and the hospitality/amenities were fantastic.
Clean facility, staff waited after hours to help us dock. General manager Paul was very responsive as we were delayed by weather.
Nice place and well protected marina to stop with appreciated free shuttle going into old Cape May City…
Nice marina with easy docking and good staff
We had a wonderful stay ay Canyon Club. Great service from the dock personnel. It's a well maintained marina and we really enjoyed the beautiful pool. We will definitely stay there again.
The good and the not so good...the pool and grounds are beautiful...the marina is well protected (we got stuck there for 6 days August 2024 Storm)...the marina needs to be dredged (no sail boats)...the bathrooms and showers are a mess...very quiet if no fishing tournament is going on...tons of floating dead horseshoe crabs that stink (they are trying to clean up) rented a car (the marina is not near town) from Enterprise they picked us up but needed an Uber to get home they were short staffed.
Facilities are awesome. Staff was great.
Beautiful marina! Staff was hospitable. Had a great time!
We just love this marina. Paul is excellent, and so helpful. The pool is a 5 star itself. Docks and bathrooms are clean and the view is amazing. Town is just a few minutes away. Walking is an option ( def stop in the antique store just over the bridge) or the marina van. Marcus was our driver and he was very nice. Many restaurants in the center of town and make sure to stop in Congress Hall. We visit this marina every year!!! See you again soon, Paul.
Had a great 4th of July! Everyone was very helpful and accommodating. They had a lovely 4th party with mudslides and snacks at the pool and all were welcome. Some things in slight dis-repair and you need to be careful about low tide but for the most part they do a great job. Happy to be there and a great option for a weekend in Cape May.
Great marina with a beautiful pool. No wi-fi and dock master is not the friendliest.
The resort (condominiums) grounds are beautiful. Same owners of the condos and the marina - and it seems there is no investment in the marina unless it’s absolutely necessary. after six summers there the slip rental has doubled, they haven’t dredged once - you kick up mud within a couple hours either side of low tide - all that mud gets up in your filters. at low tide we have less than one foot of water under a 54’ boat. Not surprised they’re half full this year. Dock hands are fantastic - they don’t seem to hire enough of them but the guys they have are awesome. I’d give them 5 stars. The condo grounds 5 stars. But the condition of the marina bathrooms, the lack of dredging, the dock fingers that are tipping over and the prices that continue to increase pull my overall rating down to a 1
Very nice. Staff very friendly. Andrew the dock guy has great restaurant recommendations.
I'd give them 5 stars but I can't because they're not Catamaran friendly. They're not really set up for Cats (Nor deep draft monohulls till they dredge) because they mostly cater to sport fishers, trawlers and similar. They really only have 1 end tie that can fit 2 cats but it restricts the fairway a little causing most passing boats to use their bow thrusters to maneuver. That said, they did their best to accommodate us for 2 nights during a mechanical failure stop. We were able to order parts at their service center, grab some stuff from the local WM, and get some groceries. We had to leave before the parts arrived but there is a close anchorage. They then let us dock to get our part and install it. They also have dock hands to help docking if needed. Would go back if they took cats. Oh, the WiFi did not work at the end of A dock and they really should have a way to take credit cards from the fuel dock instead of the guy having to bike to the office and back.
Low water depth. The basin has silted up pretty bad. Facilty and service not what it use to be. ☹️
Great slips people and marina
Beautiful, well run marina with great staff. Really appreciate that they support the AGLCA too.
Nice marina, helpful friendly staff, clean bathrooms and showers, nice pool. Easy approach and nice slips.
Very nice. Super staff. They do have a shuttle, but we didn't leave the marina as planned. We'll stay again
Basic marina. Nothing club-like or resort- like.
Nice place! Would help if they send the wifi, restroom, etc access codes with the email confirmation for transients arriving after the marina office is closed.
Very helpful. Recommend a great mechanic who got us right back on our way. Nice facilities
What a great place. Nice to rest after moving family boat north to south. Thanks To all the staff. Capt. Kevin
Beautiful, well-maintained marina with helpful staff. Wi-Fi doesn’t work on outer docks.
Marina and grounds are nice. Very well kept. No WIFI at the end of B Dock, we informed the dock master twice but he told us no one else had complained so apparently that meant no action would be taken on the marinas part. There was a Wi-Fi extender right behind our slip but apparently it was not working because there was no signal at the end of the dock which was disappointing. My guess no one else complained because there was no one else out on the end of the B dock, except for a 80 ft Hatteras that I'm sure had his own system and didn't need marina Wi-Fi. Dock hands were very attentive, front office not so much.
Great crew, clean and well managed. The ingress / egress is a little shallow at low tide so worth attention. This will be our Cape May location going forward.
Great facilities, and the staff are all terrific.
Dock hands were fantastic! Courtesy shuttle was a great bonus. Staff was very friendly. Marina clean and in good shape.
Great nice people a little shallow at low tide
Dock hands were very helpful. Nice docks, great pool, nice and quiet on the docks with friendly people. We use our own facilities for showers etc. so I can’t comment on that, but we did use the bathroom when at the pool and it was very clean. We walked into Cape May but they do run a shuttle ( easy walk over bridge) Took Uber to Wildwood to meet up with family about $20 one way
It was convenient stop and the most expensive marina we stayed at on our journey from FL to NJ. Their pump out was broken. They said we could cross the channel to another marina to do so. After we were fully docked. A definite drawback was the 4AM departure by many boats to go fishing (tournament?). The staff was nice but we will not be returning on our southward trip.
Nice place to stay, dock hands great, but fairways are very narrow and slips tight.
Unbelievable staff, fuel on the piers, and wonderful patrons. Nice grounds and pools but very dirty heads for both women and men
Always a great spot to pull into. The pool is great and people are friendly.
Canyon Club Marina is always excellent. This is now our third stay. The staff is first-class, the slips and pool are great, the shower rooms, although nothing fancy, are clean and well-kept. Best of all: In-slip fueling!
Very nice marina. Staff very friendly. Shuttle service was really helpful.
Was really nice everyone was very accommodating
Very accommodating and nice staff. Van rides to and from the restaurants are great!
Very nice marina. Dock hand seemed very helpful. Refueling was really convenient right at our slip. Deep water a good entry into the marina with a protected sea wall.
Loved it! Staff are helpful, site is magnificent, showers are clean and very nice!
Confirming what another reviewer posted about the lack of cleats and short finger piers for longer boats. It made for a very difficult tie up for our 52 foot boat. Plus the 50 amp outlet didn't work. Luckily using the splitter with the two 30's did. For the price, I would expect more.
Docks were nice. Staff was friendly. Disappointed in the RR and shower facilities. Also disappointed and surprised there was no facility on site to even get a cup of coffee in the morning. Downtown Cape May was much to far to walk.
I can only give the CC Resort three stars because of the bath:shower rooms. The place is lovely, lots of huge sport fishers to drool over. However, when you want to take a shower there is no place to hang your clean clothes or to put your bag down. I tried putting my backpack in one of the two sinks and quickly realized the water turns on automatically. Fortunately, or unfortunately when trying to shave, the water only stays on for 2 seconds. The handicapped equipped shower has a shower head on a hose with no way to hang it up. So, if you need to hold on to the grab bar and hold on to the shower head, you need another hand to wash with. Or, you can let go of the shower head and hope it stays squirting into the shower and not on the floor. Lastly, the room could use a good power washing. Looks like the staff mops up but just doesn’t get into the corners. Pretty sorry for a first class place.
Great dock crew, fueling in slip, concrete floating piers, easy entry and exit. Nice pool and ship store. Bathhouse comes up just a bit short. No hooks to hold stuff, no bench to sit on and no hot water, warm but not hot in the shower. Short coming that does not override total rating.
Due to the weather we had to change our reservation a few times and the marina was very accommodating. We had a great time.
Attentive dockhands, pool, clean and easy in/out!
Resort is a stretch. All they have is a pool.
Excellent facilities. Easy in and out from the Atlantic Ocean and the Cape May Channel. Harbor is very shallow at low tide but depths dockside were as advertised.
Always a great place to stay. Kids love the pools!
Paul and the dock hands were great. Paul got us the el primo slip assignment.
The good and the very bad. The good: dock hands are good and personable. They have a van that will take you into town. Very nice swimming pool. The bad: very low tides. The dockmaster is the worst we have ever dealt with. Grumpy and not at all helpful when asked for information. T head dockside depth at low tide 4.5’.
The good - dock hands are a great bunch of guys. The pool is very nice. Great gas dock. Good shuttle to town when available. The bad - bathrooms old, outdated and are filthy - same trash in the floor for 3 days. Crud on floor along baseboards. Gray Curly haired man in the ship store (dock master) couldnt be more rude and unhelpful. Everything was a chore for him. Trash cans overflowing all over the marina and no recycling.
Good floating docks and a nice pool. Only problem was the low tide during the full moon. We draw 5'8" and were sitting on the muddy bottom for a couple hours.
First we radioed we needed a pump and fuel. Response was we can fuel you at your slip. Once docked, they then told us we had to go to the fuel dock to pump out. Second, on our morning of departure, I powered up our electronics and noticed the depth sounder was reading 0.4 ft under bottom. We checked and the tide was going out for 2 more hours. So, we powered up to leave early. By that time, depth sounder was reading 0.0 ft under bottom. We were stirring up mud and aground off and on as we pulled out of the slip into the fairway. Had we not left we would have been hard aground in the slip. Our boat is a GB LOA 47.5 Beam 14.5 Draft 4.5. All info the marina had in advance.
The staff was very accommodating and helpful. Nice folks. Fuel was very expensive, we paid a dollar less per gallon the previous day in Annapolis. The price at the CC was the highest per gallon from when we left Florida. The marina is nice and convenient so we didn’t choose to go elsewhere. 15-20 walk to the Lobster House Restaurant, one of our favorite stops.
Very nice and clean marina. Staff is very polite and professional. Shuttle van is very helpful to get you into downtown.
Management and dock crews were great--always willing to help with anything.
Facilities are excellent-- clean and well maintained floating docks. Nice pool. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Looks like a fisherman's paradise-- dozens of sport fish boats with outriggers spanning the docks giving an appearance of an arbor-- beautiful at night when lit up. Also a number of friendly 'looper' transient trawlers. Short ride into town for great restaurants and touring.
Very nice place to stay and wait for good currents to over to the C&D canal. The restrooms and showers are very clean, Marina store is well equipped with the essential items. Staff is very friendly and makes you feel welcome. The only reason I'm giving it 5 stars is because the docks need some work. The ones I was assigned had missing cleats and one or two lose ones.
Awesome marina! Great ship store. Stunning big ol fishing boats to look at. All the amenities you want. Dock hands that know what they're doing. Friendly & knowledgable people. Definitely make it a stop. I bought a tee shirt!
Beautiful marina and pool! Shuttle service sooo convenient!
We always stay here on our way offshore to New England and on the way back. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean showers and laundry. Beautiful swimming pool.
Marina was top notch. Staff was excellent and friendly to deal with. fueling in slip was a huge bonus. Can’t wait to go back.
Dockhand was friendly and went over and above to help up dock and get all lines right. Very knowledgeable about marina information and what there was to do in the area. Marina was neat and clean and had a lovely pool. Would definitely be back when I get the chance.
Excellent and courteous Dockhands make the grade 4 star instead of 3. I've been coming to CM for 35+\_ years and recall when this place was in its hey-day. The marina docks are really showing signs of wear in some areas, the marina is really shallow at low tide and in need of dredging, the fishermen (mates and captains specifically) they cater to are in most cases arrogant and standoffish, so if you are a transient boater, you might go to south jersey marina or Cape May marina for a more friendly experience. At canyon club, we woke up 3 mornings in a row to find our fishermen dock neighbors left multiple bags of trash sitting on the dock which ultimately ended up strewn across the water and piers. While the marina offers a free shuttle service, it stops at 730, so if you go into town for dinner, prepare to uber or taxi home because crossing the bridge at night is risking your life.
