Confirming what another reviewer posted about the lack of cleats and short finger piers for longer boats. It made for a very difficult tie up for our 52 foot boat. Plus the 50 amp outlet didn't work. Luckily using the splitter with the two 30's did. For the price, I would expect more.
Docks were nice. Staff was friendly. Disappointed in the RR and shower facilities. Also disappointed and surprised there was no facility on site to even get a cup of coffee in the morning. Downtown Cape May was much to far to walk.
I can only give the CC Resort three stars because of the bath:shower rooms. The place is lovely, lots of huge sport fishers to drool over. However, when you want to take a shower there is no place to hang your clean clothes or to put your bag down. I tried putting my backpack in one of the two sinks and quickly realized the water turns on automatically. Fortunately, or unfortunately when trying to shave, the water only stays on for 2 seconds. The handicapped equipped shower has a shower head on a hose with no way to hang it up. So, if you need to hold on to the grab bar and hold on to the shower head, you need another hand to wash with. Or, you can let go of the shower head and hope it stays squirting into the shower and not on the floor. Lastly, the room could use a good power washing. Looks like the staff mops up but just doesn’t get into the corners. Pretty sorry for a first class place.
Great dock crew, fueling in slip, concrete floating piers, easy entry and exit. Nice pool and ship store. Bathhouse comes up just a bit short. No hooks to hold stuff, no bench to sit on and no hot water, warm but not hot in the shower. Short coming that does not override total rating.
Due to the weather we had to change our reservation a few times and the marina was very accommodating. We had a great time.
Attentive dockhands, pool, clean and easy in/out!
Quiet location, good facilities
Always good!. Nice facility
Very good service. Staff were very helpful
Resort is a stretch. All they have is a pool.
Excellent facilities. Easy in and out from the Atlantic Ocean and the Cape May Channel. Harbor is very shallow at low tide but depths dockside were as advertised.
Always a great place to stay. Kids love the pools!
Paul and the dock hands were great. Paul got us the el primo slip assignment.
The good and the very bad. The good: dock hands are good and personable. They have a van that will take you into town. Very nice swimming pool. The bad: very low tides. The dockmaster is the worst we have ever dealt with. Grumpy and not at all helpful when asked for information. T head dockside depth at low tide 4.5’.
The good - dock hands are a great bunch of guys. The pool is very nice. Great gas dock. Good shuttle to town when available. The bad - bathrooms old, outdated and are filthy - same trash in the floor for 3 days. Crud on floor along baseboards. Gray Curly haired man in the ship store (dock master) couldnt be more rude and unhelpful. Everything was a chore for him. Trash cans overflowing all over the marina and no recycling.
Good floating docks and a nice pool. Only problem was the low tide during the full moon. We draw 5'8" and were sitting on the muddy bottom for a couple hours.
First we radioed we needed a pump and fuel. Response was we can fuel you at your slip. Once docked, they then told us we had to go to the fuel dock to pump out. Second, on our morning of departure, I powered up our electronics and noticed the depth sounder was reading 0.4 ft under bottom. We checked and the tide was going out for 2 more hours. So, we powered up to leave early. By that time, depth sounder was reading 0.0 ft under bottom. We were stirring up mud and aground off and on as we pulled out of the slip into the fairway. Had we not left we would have been hard aground in the slip. Our boat is a GB LOA 47.5 Beam 14.5 Draft 4.5. All info the marina had in advance.
The staff was very accommodating and helpful. Nice folks. Fuel was very expensive, we paid a dollar less per gallon the previous day in Annapolis. The price at the CC was the highest per gallon from when we left Florida. The marina is nice and convenient so we didn’t choose to go elsewhere. 15-20 walk to the Lobster House Restaurant, one of our favorite stops.
Nice facility and helpful staff
Excellent ! We will be back - thanks!
Very nice and clean marina. Staff is very polite and professional. Shuttle van is very helpful to get you into downtown.
Management and dock crews were great--always willing to help with anything.
Facilities are excellent-- clean and well maintained floating docks. Nice pool. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Looks like a fisherman's paradise-- dozens of sport fish boats with outriggers spanning the docks giving an appearance of an arbor-- beautiful at night when lit up. Also a number of friendly 'looper' transient trawlers. Short ride into town for great restaurants and touring.
Very nice place to stay and wait for good currents to over to the C&D canal. The restrooms and showers are very clean, Marina store is well equipped with the essential items. Staff is very friendly and makes you feel welcome. The only reason I'm giving it 5 stars is because the docks need some work. The ones I was assigned had missing cleats and one or two lose ones.
Awesome marina! Great ship store. Stunning big ol fishing boats to look at. All the amenities you want. Dock hands that know what they're doing. Friendly & knowledgable people. Definitely make it a stop. I bought a tee shirt!
Would recommend marina
Beautiful marina and pool! Shuttle service sooo convenient!
Great spot. Great help
We always stay here on our way offshore to New England and on the way back. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean showers and laundry. Beautiful swimming pool.
Marina was top notch. Staff was excellent and friendly to deal with. fueling in slip was a huge bonus. Can’t wait to go back.
Dockhand was friendly and went over and above to help up dock and get all lines right. Very knowledgeable about marina information and what there was to do in the area. Marina was neat and clean and had a lovely pool. Would definitely be back when I get the chance.
Excellent and courteous Dockhands make the grade 4 star instead of 3. I've been coming to CM for 35+\_ years and recall when this place was in its hey-day. The marina docks are really showing signs of wear in some areas, the marina is really shallow at low tide and in need of dredging, the fishermen (mates and captains specifically) they cater to are in most cases arrogant and standoffish, so if you are a transient boater, you might go to south jersey marina or Cape May marina for a more friendly experience. At canyon club, we woke up 3 mornings in a row to find our fishermen dock neighbors left multiple bags of trash sitting on the dock which ultimately ended up strewn across the water and piers. While the marina offers a free shuttle service, it stops at 730, so if you go into town for dinner, prepare to uber or taxi home because crossing the bridge at night is risking your life.
