Excellent all around!

Dock staff was very attentive and helpful. Marina is in a good location for walking distance to restaurants, shops and beach!

Not good. It was a rough day and they put me on an outside slip. You would think they would be careful in that situation but they weren't. They told me to come into the slip then disappeared while I crashed into the dock and cracked my swim platform. They eventually came back and tied me up.

Upon arriving at Flynn's marina we waited and waited for the dock master for about 15-20 minutes. He never showed up. We decided to select our own slip. We never received a voucher to the restaurant so we did go. Hopefully next time is better.

WE LOVE FLYNNS weve been visiting here for 30 yrs + mike & tim Flynn are awesome, they run an amazing restaurant on the bay. dock master Michael Winters always goes over & above to help us docking our vessels, keeping us safe...

We stayed 1 hour. Bar was filthy, garbage everywhere with drunk kids falling all over. Toilets overflowing with vomit and urine.

Marina very narrow! Dock master Kevin is fabulous at his job. Very friendly, asking if we would like assistance getting our boat into slip. We appreciated the offer. He took control of the vessel , tying us up with spring and all docking lines . He gets 5 stars!

The Dock Master Mike was excellent in every way as well as his team!

Great spot! As marinas go this one is smaller, and is primarily there because of the restaurant. However they do have a good amount of slips for boats of all sizes, with electricity and water. Definitely a “snug” fit for bigger boats; we have a 40’ Viking and docked on the inside of the marina. Good thing we left in the morning when it was empty, or it would have been dangerous to leave without hitting any other boats. The Dockmasters are great, very helpful and will gladly help guide and tie up - thanks Mike! There is also a small Bay Beach just to the East of the marina, good for your dog or kids to run around. Food and drinks were good at the restaurant too. We will be back!

The marina was very friendly and accommodating

This was our first trip away for the weekend and based our info on the Dockwa app.. for the $ we paid not happy... there was No internet .. that's a big problem to start with.. trying to keep the little ones occupied while trying to do anything in a small space without it was not fun for anyone. Flynns had bathrooms but we or our guests could not use them plus they were locked up over night.. so if you don't have a toilet in your boat it's a problem.. we had issues with our toilet at one point. Thank goodness they were resolved quickly.. what were we to do at night? The dock master Joe was amazing.. great job getting us in and set up. We were given $150 (50 a night) to use at Flynns for dinner.. that was a plus. Water, electric were good for us. Short walk to the beach was a plus here. It would be great to have somewhere near this dock to rent one of the carts like they have by the ferry. We walked in to ocean beach in order to rent one would have been easier to rent and return right by Flynns. Grocery had plenty of ice and needed items def a plus. Overall it was a really good spot... just needs internet and 24hr bathrooms.. showers would be great also to wash sand off before getting back to the boat. Thanks for a nice weekend.. we spent plenty of $ between us and our 15 or so guests throughout the weekend. Wish I could give 5 stars.

amazing stay dockhands are amazing! Arrived Friday just in time for happy hour which was incredible, 1/2 price appetizers and 1/2 price drinks - even top shelf. The bay was so calm all weekend truly lucked out with that! Met up with a few boater friends good time had by all!

The shore power shut down on us and we had no power for our final night.

Dock master is great Full use of the facilities when docking at Flynns. Great bar and atmosphere.

The dock hands were great and the food at the restaurant was good. The marina itself is not in great shape. low water and my boat actually sat in the sand/mud so long that the paint on the skegs of my outboard motors was worn away. To top it all off, another boat hit my bow pulpit, breaking a part of my railing and damaging the pulpit itself. Hoping that the marina video system has the culprit on video. Bottom line, not sure I would stay there again given the other options on Fire Island.

The 2 dock masters Mike and Kevin are absolutely amazing! Pulling in to a crowded marina with little room to maneuver, Mike took over and docked for us eliminating all the stress! We will be back many times!

Perfect Day! All the reviews about Mike the Dock Master are true. I've never seen such good service. He makes 1000% sure you get in and out safely and that your boat is secured properly.

Pulled up blowing at least 30mph from the northeast. Had to park on the outside due to size of my boat. Mike who is the dock master is awesome. He was a complete gentleman and got me safely tied up in under 5 minutes with no damage to boat. I will come back just for Mike alone!!

Great restaurant with amazing food and entertainment, super helpful and attentive dockhands/dockmaster and with all the nightlife and traffic the grounds are kept fairly clean. Wouldn't recommend staying overnight.. the ferries and water taxis have no regard for the boats in the marina and it rocks like crazy. The outside is even rougher. This is not a family place on the weekends. Drunk teenagers everywhere and partying into all hours of the night. But i would 100% recommend for a day/lunch trip!

My first stay last month had mixed results. The dock help was great as I lost one engine while docking. They helped tremendously. We then spent the entire three days without water. It was a big detractor and made the stay two stars. We went again this weekend and had water but spending $275 for over night and only receiving $50.00 in Flynn's cash was disappointing. In addition, they still don't have Wi-Fi available for guests of the marina. Not sure there is value received for the amount spent. Just a few years ago we would rate Flynn's for 4 or 5 stars every visit. We will go back and try again. Maybe this year was a fluke..

Wife and I boat to Flynns almost every Friday in the summer for food and fun in the sun..... Dock masters are the best.... always willing to help... restaurant staff is great also... great job FLYNNS team..

Upon entering the mouth we were greeted with dockmasters who were amazing! Tight area so if you are not experienced stay on the outside. There are no showers or bathrooms!! That is a huge problem when you have 6 people with you.

Apparently there’s no respect for boats here. We stayed for two days and we were getting rocked the whole time. The ferries and water taxis go full steam right out of the dock.

The Dock Masters were great!! They did a great job of getting all the boats in that were waiting outside Marina in a timely manner. I was very happy with them getting my boat tied up and keeping my swim platform off the bulk heading.

I had reservations but there was no room inside. After I had lunch I asked to be moved to the inside docking area but was told they were saving the inside slips for the overnight boats. 1 minute after I was told that another boat pulled up and was not asked if they were staying over night but were put into an inside slip. This is after a $20 tip when I first docked.

Flyyn's is a very fun place to visit. We spent 3 days there and couldn't be happier. The Dockmaster's, specifically Joe, were amazing. The food at the restaurant was also very good. Overall a great experience and we look forward to visiting again.

This was our first time using this marina and we are fairly new to boating. The harbor master, Joe, and his deckhand were amazing! As we approached the marina, they came on board and backed the boat into a slip and secured it! We enjoyed a beautiful day on the beach and had dinner at Flynn’s. We stayed til about 7pm, used the $50 voucher for dinner! Can’t beat free dock space! Highly recommend!

Great spot. Tight dockage and can be a bit rocky in a north wind. Joe the Dockmaster is spot on and is super helpful.

Everything was excellent ! The Dock Masters Mike and Kevin are nothing short of superb and amazing! They made sure the boat was secured tight and also they assisted in my every need plus more! I would recommend the Rocket Fuel drinks at the bar !! Great time will definitely be returning again!

Place is mint! Dockmaster jumped right boat and Lee us to our slip. Tied up the boat in no time and we were set up. Can go back and forth to the boat all day. Looking forward to doing it again.

Made reservations and stayed for the day. Mike the dock master was impressive with his skills. He jumped on my 58 and tied it up better and faster than I could. We had lunch which was very good then went to the beach.

Unfortunately, my boat failed to operate properly and so I could not visit Flynn Marina. We tried calling Flynn to cancel but no one ever returned our call.

Even with a reservation we were put outside and had to wait to be put inside. When dock master was asking who had reservations everyone said they did and really didn't. Need a better way that dock master knows who has RESEVATION!!!!

Dock Masters were awesome. However at night the marina became a frat house party. Loud music and partying. No marina bathrooms except when the restaurant is open. Narrow docks, limited access to bay. No access to clamming. Above average cost, required restaurant deposit on dining. If your over 40 don't bother coming, there are much better Marina's.

Due to weather changes we need to change our travel dates and found space at Flynn's last minute. That said this site is really a restaurant with a marina for smaller dock & dine boats who can and do stay overnight. We were told in advance and understood we would be docked outside the break water wall. What we did not expect was to have our 56' boat in an approximately 30' foot long slip. There was a strong wind out of the west, and due to the undersized slip, made it impossible to tie off to keep off of the piling because our bow lines even on our 2nd set of cleats only made spring lines. There is no radio monitored so we needed to jog outside the marina until the 1 overworked dock hand (Who was great!!!) got to us and we yelled back and forth to grasp where he wanted to put us. There is a very confusing dockage pricing structure that involves you paying a higher rate (That changes based on the size of your boat and the day of the week) then giving you coupons to use at their restaurant. Sort of forcing you to eat at their restaurant to bring your slip fee down. We did eat at the restaurant and the food and entertainment was great. Overall this marina needs to evaluate there facility and take reservations for boats that their slips were designed for or fully disclose that not only will it be a "Bit Rougher" outside as we were told, but you will also only be in half a slip if you have a larger boat.

I came here today with the recommendation from my boating instructor. I was extremely pleased with the food and service. The dock people couldn't be more helpful as I'm new to boating. They actually got on my boat before I even got into the marina and did everything but park it for me (they offered). I found my new favorite place on long Island.

Mike, the dockmaster is the best. Consider letting him jump aboard and dock your boat. $75 for the day is the best you'll do in Fire Island ($100 with gratuity), besides anchoring up and froging It to shore. You can no longer beach it at Flynn's. They roped off the area to the east. Have fun!

stayed for the last 12 years always had a great time. The boat next to me had their radio on so loud I couldn't hear the person next to me. also one of the 30 amp plugs was not working properly and the rude boater next to me kept unplugging me and plugging his boat into the plug I was using

This marina is in a great location but has very little in the way of amenities for the overnight boater besides water and electric. There is no bathroom, not even a port-a-potty. The attached restaurant has a bathroom but is not open 24/7 and has a very crowded bar scene. The dock is fixed, making it difficult to get on and off the boat depending on the tide. There are outside and inside slips. The outside slips are not protected and exposed to boat and ferry traffic as well as the wind. The inside slips are more protected but very difficult to navigate. You best bet is to stay OUTSIDE the marina, call and wait until the super skilled dockmaster calls you over. Let the dockmaster jump on your boat and guide you into the slip and tie you up. They are very impressive. We were in an outside slip and had several near mishaps with captains trying to enter the marina on their own. The potential for damage to your boat is great. It’s a very short walk to a beautiful beach. There are a few restaurants, bars and shops easily accessible. Great place to stay but be aware that the physical facilities are rough!

I don't understand the bad reviews.I've been going here for over 8 years, I've never had a bad experience! I bring all my clients there because I know They will never embarrass me and their guys on the dock are extremely helpful. The manager always checks to make sure everything is ok and even the owner has asked if we needed anything. They have hands down the best deal in Fire Island not to mention the best location. If I lived closer, I'd go a few times a week!

Reservations were easy. Pulled up to marina, dock master was there. Off the boat in minutes enjoying the day. Flynn’s was was great. Look forward to spending the day there again.

The marina is great and the Dock Master and the guys working on the docks are amazing. You don’t have to do anything when you get there as they do it all for you. The restaurant on the other hand, food was awful and the service was terrible. There were only four or five tables in the entire place and out of the six people at our table not one of us had a good meal and the price was ridiculously overpriced . I will utilize the marina anytime possible but will never go into the restaurant again

No one there to greet us and assign slip. Waited almost an hour. Then given temporary slip. After we took the boat out for a dinner cruise, we didn't have anyone there assigning a slip when we returned. Michael the manager tried to rectify the situation but was too little too late (we could have at least had our meal comped for our troubles). Then the marina was horribly loud until 5am. NEVER AGAIN. Terrible place (unless you're 22 drunk and don't care)

Power issues continue at the marina. Electric receptacles are warn. Always popping breakers.
