Peter Island Resort & Yacht Harbour

Stayed in Deadman’s, lovely spot and many available balls march 11.

Enjoyed the friendly demeanor of everyone. Very gracious. Dinner at Drunken Pelican was an experience with small plates.

We had an amazing overnight. Chevron and Craig assisted in docking our boat for the night. We had a fabulous dinner and breakfast at Drakes restaurant. The staff ( Collin, Rose, Cynthia, Michael, Akyal, Lucy, Joshua, Chef and everyone else) were so attentive and professional to all of our requests. The true highlight was getting to meet Peter Islands ambassador Ms Jean!! What a treasure! Can't to come back soon.

Great Harbor. Great spot for an overnight. Mooring ball and tackle was in excellent shape. Nice small beach with easy dinghy access. Friendly staff. Short flat walk to the marina and resort. Also spent two nights in Deadman Bay. A bit of swell during an overnight with >20 kts winds but pretty good shelter. Mooring and tackle also in great shape. Nicer beach than Great Harbor but felt a bit busier being closer to the resort.

I much prefer reserving a ball though Dockwa than Boatyball this resort just reopened 2 months ago so they still need to train the staff. accommodation are perfect every one I have delt with was very ith a big smile and very welcoming

The property rebuild is amazing but they seem very overstaffed, albeit with friendly people and unable to deliver timely food service and the restaurant was at about 1/3 capacity, if that. Food was “good” but very expensive. Maybe they’re still working the bugs out.

Wonderful facility and amazing staff. The yacht club is designed for boaters in mind. It is a wonderful to to jump off the boat for a bit of physical activity, great food and lovely pool just for the boaters. Nice little provisioning store and great boutique.

The resort is lovely, and all the staff are wonderful. The mooring are all in Deadman Bay (far more open than Sprat Bay) and are far too close together. When winds are light, boats dance around their moorings and come very close to colliding. These mooring balls need to be re-placed!!

What a beautiful Resort & Yacht Club, it was completely re-built after Irma and just reopened late 2024. First class job! We enjoyed our best meal of the week at Drake Steakhouse, quite an experience for the last night of our trip.

Helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful facilities, including showers, two restaurants, pool, all available to boaters at the docks. The moorings are great as well, though they do not include access to the pool, showers. Mooring balls available in both Deadman's Bay and Great Harbor. From Great Harbor, there is a trail to get to the yacht club. It's about a 10 minute walk. Restaurants are excellent.

Power was not working at our slip. Took them hours to move us to a working slip. Food at Drakes Steak House was terrible and very expensive.

This spot is beautiful, staff extremely helpful.

Very windy. No access to the resort. Not worth it. Very disappointed.

Lovely resort- beautiful grounds, welcoming staff and delicious food. Very difficult to understand all the locations of the mooring balls- White Bay and Great bay- with marina in Sprats Bay. Tough to find unmaintained path from Great Bay to resort. Bring a flashlight to get back to your boat in evening.

Very windy but convenient to get to resort

Beautiful facility. Had a nice dinner with guests at the Drunken Pelican. They gave us a quick tour of the facilities by golf cart and was able to check out the spa. We will be back soon to try the spa.

Listing should make clear that moorings are in Great Harbor and Deadman’s Bay (rolly). We were told only way into Sprat Bay, where resort is, is to dinghy around either point which we did not feel was safe in heavy winds and seas. We picked up in Great Harbor, landing dinghy at the head of the bay and walked the small path across the neck. Resort just opened and appears lovely although very few guests. Seems like they should be friendlier to yachties. Mooring itself seemed new and secure.

Very well done rebuild after 2017 Hurricane Irma. They just reopened 2 months ago and the place is beautiful. The service is top notch.

Excellent dock hands and great place

Reception at the marina, redirecting us to the mooring field in another bay was everything but friendly and polite. The bay itself turns out to be very windy, with the moorings in the windiest part with winds that appear to accelerate between the hills. While it was 20-25kts on the water, we recorded winds up to 30kts in the mooring. I would NOT recommend the Peter Island Resort (yacht harbour).

Field was well placed with plenty of room between boats. Quiet, out of the swell. Saw a turtle on our way in, jumping fish, and a double rainbow on our way out. Beautiful!

Great marina. Only problem we had was the power kept tripping. Some of the pedestals need maintenance as the wires are all hanging out

The Peter Island Marina and Resort was new and beautiful. Chevon was excellent in assisting with all dock and marina needs.

Our stay was good. Went from a mooring ball to staying in the marina after we filled our water tanks. Dockmaster was very helpful. Not clear on Dockwa which mooring field we were supposed to use. Thought we would be in the yacht harbor but we were supposed to be out in one of the nearby bays. Opted to stay on the dock instead. Beautiful resort.

Awesome staff! Had a slip for the night, great facilities and helpful with docking.

Dock staff were excellent. Marina has two nice showers but no bathrooms When docked stern to, wind is on boat stern which makes for rolly conditions

We stayed on the dock for one night. The dock hands were excellent although it seems to me there should be someone on for the many early morning departures. We used the showers and they are excellent. Some attention needed for the door and lock on the shower on the left. It does not lock without some lifting of the door; the deadbolt does not line up. We swam in the pool and ordered drinks. We waited 40 minutes for 4 pina coladas. Hardly worth the 23% service fee charged. The drunken pelican is a lovely room with extremely bright lighting. You might think about changing from the “operating room” brightness. The food was good but the wine we chose was not available. We had some trouble paying by card - the machines didn’t seem to be connecting to the wifi service. That took 20 minutes to sort out. We get that there are kinks to work out with newly opened resort. Beautiful rebuild.

We used to love coming to the Peter Island Resort ... and then Irma hit. It has been a long wait but pleased to say Peter Island is back !! We loved the new Mairina Area and then had dinner at the main restaurant. Great experience ... now need to set up the Adirondack chairs on the Sunset Ridge and organise transport, canapés and Champagne. We will be back in April

The restaurant was a disappointment with the only things on the menu were topas and pizza, we were told the nearby steakhouse required long pants which none of us had

we visited three anchorages at Peter Island. White Bay and Key Bay were fantastic and in the lee of the island, offering great protection from the NE winds and swell. Highly recommend Dockwa!

Amazing stay, spa, restaurants and staff were incredible

Despite small craft warnings, the moorings were much better protected from northerly wind and swell than expected. A delightful place for the night and quick access to Road Town this morning for early cab to the airport. Yesterday evening the first person we talked to at the resort was utterly clueless as to how to get to the restaurant and whether we could leave the dinghy on the beach despite the guidebook telling us that wasn’t allowed. Ended up barbecuing on the boat, which was fine. I think they need to work out a few kinks. Hopefully they will soon put in a dinghy dock at the beach.

Chevon did a great job talking us in to the dock, welcoming us, and going above and beyond to provide great service. It is a beautiful resort. Food at the Drunken Pelican was fine (not outstanding, but good enough) and service was kind and attentive. We would love to return.

Peter island is stunning. Be careful of the dock hands. All are very kind, but some of them are new and inexperienced. Lines were cast off without being instructed to and not in the correct order. A bit of chaos but no damage done. Also, only 1/2 of our power pedestal worked properly so we used our generator and our neighbors pedestal shorted out in the middle of the night in the rain due to exposed wires.

The mooring balls are in Deadman’s Bay. Deadman’s Bay is beautiful. The problems, however, are significant and they are these: If there is a north swell the bay can be very rolley. More importantly, the dinghy dock is NOT in Deadman’s Bay. The dinghy dock is in Sprat Bay. Go ashore for dinner after 6:00 PM from your moored vessel and you must take your dinghy out onto open water in the dark around a treacherous, rocky unmarked point that juts out into the Sir Francis Drake Channel. After a rough ride in open water you will come to Sprat Bay which has a entrance channel formed by a jetty. The channel is dark and busy with a fast moving ferry that runs to/from Tortola. Long story short, going ashore at night is dangerous.

We stayed on a mooring ball in Deadmans Bay for New year's eve. The bay is beautiful. We had a quick walk along the resort which looked amazing. And of course the fireworks display was fantastic. We will be back.

Great beautiful resort and facilities. We moored in Deadman’s Bay. A spot for bringing dingoes ashore safely in the bay would be awesome. Ate at both restaurants, fabulous. All resort staff incredibly friendly and helpful, we’ll be back. Until next time… yacht Pura Vida ✌️

Peter Island’s dock staff were very helpful, the resort just opened days before after a years long renovation so their dock staff is new but very professional and experienced.

We spent the night on mooring #4 in Deadman's Bay. Wind was easterly and it was a quiet night.

We were happy to see everything so beautiful. Staff from the dock, restaurants, bars were excellent. Would love to come back.

Marina staff were very helpful and made our stay memorable. Dinner at the beach restaurant was delicious and will only get better, as it was their soft opening when we were there!
