The Newport Yacht Club is one of a myriad of attractions in downtown Newport that make Newport one of the finest yachting centers and destination resorts in America. The Club is located in the heart of the harbor, and surrounded by restaurants, shops, marine facilities and services, historic sites, entertainment venues, sporting events and other features that attract thousands of visitors to Newport all year around.

I'm a member here, but I'm not lucky enough to have a permanent slip. I uses transient slips throughout the year, and occasionally live aboard for a night or two. NYC has very nice, recently renovated facilities. The restrooms and showers are available 24x7, and only a short walk from the docks. The dock steward and club steward are very professional, accommodating, and well organized. The club has a nice lounge with a beautiful view and decent, reasonably priced food. Lounge hours can be unpredictable.

Good safe docks within walking distance of all the entertainment in town and right next to the dock for the harbor water taxi. It would have been nice if they gave us the code to the back door to be able to use the bathroom in the morning before they open the clubhouse house though
Cleanest Heads of any YC or Marina, we’ve ever stayed at. Folks are friendly and accommodating. 5 Stars Recommend Newport YC to anyone.

Extremely helpful dock staff and gre3at location
This is always a good stop for me. Everyone is helpful and my docking skills have improved greatly since the last review a few years ago!! The showers are clean and lovely. I like access to food on site so I didn't have to go wandering after racing the boat that day.

The setting was lovely, the dockhand was extremely congenial and helpful, and Newport Yacht Club was extremely accommodating with our late booking.
What a great weekend! Came in for the Seafood Festival in rough conditions but once docked, we benefited from the well protected marina. The NYC staff was very friendly and helpful. Greg the dock steward went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. The ability to use the (very clean) facilities and bar/restaurant was a big plus.
The dock steward was superb. It was blowing 20 knots when we arrived. He directed us to the correct slip where we nested against dock instead of being blown into neighboring vessel. He then helped secure lines in the perfect order. Beautiful little club. Rev Richard DenUyl Jr Little Compton RI

We loved our stay at Newport Yacht Club. The dock staff were so friendly and helpful. The facilities were in excellent condition. The upper bar and deck was a perfect spot to look over the harbor and enjoy a beverage. We definitely will visit again.

Great yacht club with excellent dock staff. Good cook out food and bar inside the club. Located in a quiet corner of the Newport inner harbor with no wave action to disturb your sleep at night when you sleep onboard at dockside. Lovely place to spend a few nights.
Central location , seasoned staff + lovely showers !
Excellent for overnight stay, protected part of harbor, clean bathrooms and showers. Located north of the main strip therefore a little less traffic in the neighborhood. Would come back here in the future.

Great location, good slips, nice bar with a wonderful view and some basic food options, recently renovated heads/showers (ask for key to gain 24-hour access), and excellent staff. A staff example: when I first hailed NYC on Ch 78, Stef the Dockmaster realized that while he could hear me, I couldn't hear him -- within a minute he called my cell phone, which was included in my reservation. I had apparently held the CH/WX button on my ICOM handheld radio too long and switched from US to International or Canada frequencies.
Very nice facility, great staff. Dockmaster Stefan was excellent, couldn’t have been more accommodating when we landed. Short walk to town, shops, cafes. Yacht club has beautiful view of the harbor from the upper deck and barroom. A great place to stay in Newport- smaller and quieter than the other marinas.
I arrived Sunday afternoon with my family 5 on our newly purchased boat. I hailed the Yacht Club when I entered the harbor and Stefan was waiting on the dock to guide me into the slip. We had a great time, Stefan and all of the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had everything that we needed for our stay. I will return in the future, job well done!
For Newport it's a quiet spot, a loud entertainer from the Marriott next door but he quit pretty early. Nice docks, helpful staff, wifi that is slow but functions. Close but not in the center of town. Now our go to place in Newport.

Perfect spot for s visit to downtown Newport. The team at the Newport Yacht Club was fantastic! They helped us with the lines could not of been more pleased definitely will go again! Hint;m: it's better to use the VHF channel 78 then try to reach them on the cell phone - much more efficient
