Safe Harbor Marina Bay

After years of docking in Boston we now prefer staying at Marina Bay.in Quincy . Only 7 miles away from Boston we easily visit the city taking the ferry which leaves directly from the marina or it is an easy Uber ride. The marina is surrounded with great restaurants & where you can find every including a gourmet food shop, yoga classes, hair salon, med spa, etc. The deckhands & Allison in the office are all very helpful and I praise Mitchell Curry as one of the best Dockmaster’s on the East Coast! Looking forward to our next stay!

I have stayed at marinas up and down the east coast. By far the best of all of them. Communication was great, maps, instructions, calls, all are greatly appreciated coming into an unknown marina. Location was great too! So much to do. Highly recommend.

Amazing Marina. Totally first class with amazing staff and a terrific boardwalk with lots of restaurants. Shout out to Mitchell the dock manager. This is one of the few times I can recall the dock manager personally coming down to greet us and see if we had any questions about the area or needed anything.

The marina is well appointed - we were located on the new west dock. Lots of restaurants, a well stocked mini-mart, and secure surroundings made our stay comfortable. The dock staff were very busy but helpful when needed. The marina is a lively spot, delightful for aeronautic aficionados given its proximity to Logan airport. The only complaint was to find the shower/laundry facilities (due to lack of hot water) closed without notice to that effect. It is a very long walk from the west dock to the marina facilities with a load of laundry!

Nice docks, facility and great dockhand service. Inside face dock can get rolling when all the googins are charging in and out throwing wakes right into the marina entrance.

We couldn’t have been happier with our choice to spend two weeks here. Even before we arrived, Mitch assisted us with locating a diver to clean the bottom of our boat. When we arrived, his team was available and ready to help us into our slip. We truly enjoyed the location, particularly its proximity to Boston, and plan to make this a regular stop.

Safe Harbor Marina Bay in Quincy, MA is one of the finest facilities on the east coast. Tyler, the General Manager, and his staff are absolutely outstanding. The dock master, Mitchell and his crew are second to none and they are always at the ready to assist with anything that you may need. They are always friendly, and it's clear that they love their jobs because the smiles never seem to leave their faces. We were at Marina Bay twice in 2020, 2021 and 2023 on our travels between Ft. Lauderdale and Down East, Maine. We weathered hurricane Lee on their new and expanded west docks and were extremely comfortable as the docks did a great job blocking the 2-foot chop on the bay driven by up to 40 kt wind gusts. The team was tremendously attentive, helping us find our slip and making sure we were secured and had our shore power connected. The boardwalk area had a tremendous number restaurants and bars and a few nice shops easily accessible to the docks. Unfortunately the pump out was inoperable and the town only did pump outs by appointment. Otherwise awesome!

Great spot with easy access to everything

We recently stayed a couple nites at Marina Bay . Getting fuel and settled in our slip was easy and assisted. The marina has a fun atmosphere and plenty of restaurants and bars on the property. We have nothing but good things to say about Mitchell who is the dock master at the marina. The young man is engaging and respectful and did a great job getting our boat squared away. We will be back.

Upon arrival we were met with energetic and enthusiastic Mitchell who took great care in helping us get to our dock and set up. The staff were all wonderful and helpful. Lovely facility (except the laundry room needed some attention). All in all an excellent experience.

Pros: Great dockhands and Harbormaster Mitchell is fabulous!!! Gorgeous docks, loved the atmosphere, restaurants and all amenities are super close-by. The Market has just about anything and everything you would need and want but forgot to pack. Cons: Laundry area need a lot of attention. I'm a dog owner and lover but the amount of dog hair in those washers and dryers was disgusting. The washers have powdered laundry detergent and filth just caked on, if I truly didn't need clean towels or could have bought new towels I wouldn't have stepped a second foot in that area. Biggest complaint I have and the simplest to fix, if the machines are maintained by a third party they need to request weekly cleanings or find a new supplier! Overall; GREAT weekend trip and we will be back!!

Over the top friendly staff. From the fuel dock to Mitchell the dock master. Can’t do enough for you to make sure your taken care of. Very nice Safe Harbor property. Plenty of things to do.

Had a Great 3 day stay at Marina Bay Safe Harbor. Advance information from DM Mitchell Curry was in Dockwa confirmation, a phone call and text message with map of harbor. Two dock hands tool lines and made single handed docking easy and simple. Good showers and laundry also. There is a great grocery store located nearby plus several restaurants and bars and gelato. This is a well run first class facility

I had a rare weekend night off so we decided to give Safe Harbor a shot since we had never been. I am really happy we did! Navigating into our slip could have been easier with assistance from the Safe Harbor work boat. Mitchell and his dock staff treated us like royalty! Five + star staff! The regular boating members were very friendly (even to our dog). Super easy access to restaurants for dinner. There was an emergency on the dock with a members boat the following morning and Mitchell and his crew sprung into action to ensure everyone was safe and comfortable. We will definitely be back! Thanks!

I understand that there are bars that stay open until 1am. However, when the bar closes and 30-40 people are partying on their boats with music turned up as loud as possible until 3am is absolutely uncalled for. It wrecked our weekend and we left early. Very disappointing experience and the boat owner was a complete asshole when I asked if he could turn the music down and be more respectful of others.

One of our favorite Marina's! Mitchell and the dock staff are the best. Very professional, attentive and personable. Facilities are very good and clean. The marina has great, restaurants, live music and one of the best markets that has everything you would need. Baked goods, wine, beer and General groceries.

SH Marina Bay is a large, excellent facility with a great staff. Tyler, the GM, Mitchell, the dock master, and super mechanic Andrew are all outstanding.

Exceptional service on arrival with dock person and crew being ready and very capable so much appreciated. Easy fueling at great member rates and again super helpful cheerful staff. Missed eating here so must return soon.

All in all pretty will managed, clean and kept up. The receiving dock hands at the fuel dock seem to be confused, but the receiving dock hands that tie up are excellent. Everyone was friendly

The staff at Marina Bay are all great and friendly. You can’t beat the access to Boston from the free shuttle that picks you up and takes you to the nearest T Line train. There are also lots of dining options within a few minutes walk. The facilities and docks are top notch and well cared for as well. We’ll definitely stay here again when we’re back in the area.

A very large and well protected marina. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Lots of nice bars and restaurants right there along the dock.

Two dock attendants were waiting for us. They were cheerful and helpful.

Outstanding great time

I have been a year-round user of Marina Bay since 2015 across three different boats thus far. Tyler, Norman, Maureen and many many others take great care of us and I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else in the Boston area! Very good facilities, great staff, great access to the harbor with only a neglible "no wake" zone to worry about. Great restaurants only a short walk away from the boat and now 3 stores to provision at before you cast off for the day.

Well kept docks. Skilled dock hands. Also clean laundry and showers. Steps to many restaurants. Great location.

This is an outstanding facility. Tyler Miller, the Marina Manager, was extremely helpful. We needed some help with our generator. Charlie, former CG and crew aboard the CG cutter Eagle, took care of the problem in no time flat. The dockhands and fuel dock (Maureen and Lola) crew are outstanding. Good docks, access to restaurants and helpful staff

Arrived a little early and was greeted immediately by Norman and his team. They set us just inside the breakwater in a slip that was well suited to our boat. Showers and restrooms were up to date and easy to use. The marina has several restaurants within the marina area. We tried most of them during our three day stay. All good. Kudos especially to Reelhouse. It's a little far from Boston other than by Uber/Lyft but manageable. Great access to the harbor islands for short day trips. All around nice stay. We'll come back next time we're in the Boston area.

Nice marina with clean showers, laundry facilities and grill area. Many restaurants in the area. Friendly and helpful dock master. Dock hands and office staff should become more knowledgeable regarding area logistics and alternative ways to access the city of Boston.

Excellent location with ferry service into downtown Boston. Lots of great restaurants and provisioning. Great social scene right at Marina Bay. Very friendly and helpful dockhands and dockmaster.

Tyler and his crew do a great job at Marina Bay, it's always clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful!

Tyler and Norman were great at arrival and departure. Bathrooms were a bit worked with robe hooks broken off and tile missing. Dog walking station was without bags for several day, lucky we brought our own.

Tyler the harbor master was great and very attentive. Docks in good shape and several great restaurants right in the marina complex.

The marina itself is very nice. Bathroom and showers are in need of renovations. Lots of restaurant options but food is average at best but lively atmosphere. We rented for two nights. Came back to our slip after heading to Boston for dinner and our assigned slip was given to someone else. Had to call emergency line to figure out what to do. Told us to take any slip for the night which was fine. Spoke to dock master in the morning and he was very apologetic. People who work at the marina are very nice and helpful. Will definitely return.

It was alright but I expected more for the high price. We came in around 7pm and were not able to hail the Doncaster on VHF. Turned out everyone had left and we had to call from our mobile. Not a big deal but why not warn us ahead of the hours? Shower and toilet facilities where pretty low standard, especially given the price of the slip.
