We love Palmas del Mar! We've spent several storm seasons there as well as stopping in while sailing between the Caribbean and the Bahamas. The staff are amazing and have become close friends of ours. Glenda, Roberto, Charlie and the entire crew make you feel "at home". Also, the facilities are excellent and provide a secure place to stay, a convenient place to provision, and an easy hop to the Virgin Islands. We look forward to our next stay....
The marina is maintained very well and the amenities listed are available and up to date. The office staff is personable, great with answering questions and communicating quickly! The crew on the docks are extremely helpful and considerate! We really feel like we are part of the family when we are at the Yacht Club. I can't wait to go back!
Extremely friendly and helpful team
Glenda is a fantastic person! The folks handling lines and general help around the marina are bright and welcoming. We enjoyed every moment and will gladly return if opportunity knocks. Thank You So Much
TOO SOON FOR A RATING
Ok the marina might need some work, BUT all that is ok because the staff is TOP NOTCH! Everyone that works there is very kind. Shout out to Glenda (give her a raise people!) and all the dock hand Angel, and the rest of the crew. Everyone one has been professional and gone over and beyond to help. After coming from a marina where they absolutely didn't care. This was so refreshing! Thank you for making our stay so pleasant, and we will definitely be back if we are on our way back! Staff is great.Marina nicely and fully recovered from hurricane Maria in 2017. Dockside fuel system, fair rates, nice amenities. Beautiful views and Palmas del Mar.
Is a Small secure Marina in a gated community. Security 24/7 Great ambient relax.
This is a brutal marina. I sailed from Maine to Puerto Rico and saw so many marinas in between. The swell here is so strong to be dangerous. I left the marina for 4 days to go to San Juan, and two dock lines snapped and my boat crashed up against the ugly concrete fixed dock and caused a nasty gash in my hull. The marina never informed me of it and I found out when I returned to the dock. I asked to be reimbursed for the last two weeks of my month stay, so I could find a different home, and they denied my request. I was simply trying to prevent any further damage to my boat. I did not ask them to pay for the damage. The docks are not maintained, for instance there are no hooks on the posts to keep your dock lines out of the water. If I stay, I will lose another dock line chafing against the barnacles on the post. In all, I will lose three dock lines and I have an expensive hull repair. Preserve your boat and don't spend a minute here, go to Fajardo, to Puerto Del Ray or Sun Bay Marina.
It was great and every employee was SO nice and helpful
The Owners need to put some money into the Marina. There are things that have been damaged since Hurricane Maria in 2017. The staff is great and that is the most redeeming value of Palmas. The swimming pool is a great amenity, but it needs to be cleaned and maintained. That also has damage from 2017 that needs repaired. Fuel Dock is still non-operational since 2017.
Friendly staff beautiful pool area.
Excelent!!!!, attentions from the Marina personal is awesome!!!!
Crew on the docks are great, polite, very friendly and real pros. Everybody is very is very welcoming. (Never got able to connect with the wifi though, but it could me you know….
Wonderful marina. The Staff is very helpful accommodating. We needed to extend our stay a couple of nights and Roberto and Glenda were very helpful in making additional accommodations.
El personal de la Marina es muy servicial y atentos los felicito.
