About

Beaufort Docks is one of the most popular stops for yachtsmen on the waterway. The marina is an all-transient facility with 98 berths, all of which are floating docks. Fuel is available in each slip. Beaufort is a strategic stop for boats cruising to the islands, as the Gulf Stream is usually within 30 miles of Beaufort.

Approach

The preferred entrance to Beaufort is through Bulkhead Channel at the southern tip of Radio Island. At Ships Channel marker "22," pick up green marker "1BH" and red marker "2." Leave "1BH" to port as it marks the end of a rock jetty and "2" to starboard and proceed up Bulkhead Channel to Taylor Creek and the Beaufort Docks. The alternate channel, if you are coming from the north, is to enter Russell's Slough at ICW "29" leaving it to port and pick up bifurcation mark "RS" leaving it to starboard and G "3" to port. At the south end of Russell's Slough, enter Gallants Channel leaving green marker "7" to port and red over green marker "RG" to starboard. Follow Gallants Channel south, passing under the 65' bridge to Taylor Creek, the Beaufort waterfront, and Beaufort Docks.

Mike and his team were excellent. I had arrived by boat from Atlantic City and it was getting dark. The hotel I booked boasts a marina, but it doesn't have slips for its guests. Beaufort Docks welcomed me when most options had gone home for the night. Highly recommend them. Beaufort hospitality!

One of our favorites! Having a new crew this season I was curious to see how they would like Beaufort Town Docks. As suspected, they said “that is a must-stop” on every trip north and south.” The only thing that stinks is that we seldom stop for more than one night when moving the boat. This years heading south we’ll try to stay longer! ~Capt. David - M/Y Magnum Ride

We were meant to stay a night and ended up staying a week! Mike was extremely accommodating and provided us with great service. An excellent marina with everything you need. Downtown is right there and the marina has clean washroom facilities. The laundry is at the back of the general store just across the road, it's the best marina laundry I have ever used! Restaurant are a stones throw away. we look forward to our return trip later this year. Thank you for hosting us. - Dean & Alka Bromiley
