I lived on my boat at Macray all summer long while escaping the Arizona heat. The property was well maintained. The staff was helpful. Looking forward to returning.
The light right in front of my boat attracted bugs and spiders and my boat was a mess every morning from them. almost every night we had to walk through a swarm of flying insects to go onto our boat. I understand the need for lights and the safety concerns around them, but they don't need to be that bright or could have been yellow to deter bugs not attract them. The disaster of a boat next to me that the police and to enter with guns drawn was the highlight of my summer! they should have been expelled immediately from the marina. We witnessed several accounts of domestic violence from that boat even calling security a few times to report it. The boat was leaving to go to Jobbie Nooner and it was bouncing off all the post more than likely hitting other boats, I think I have a video of it somewhere. I have been at MacRay since 2009, I love all the improvements that have been made as of recent and hope it continues. Ann in the front office is awesome as is much of the staff at MacRay.
Fantastic Boating Experience at MacRay Marina! I had an amazing experience at MacRay Marina, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly, professional, and eager to help. The marina itself is beautifully maintained, with clean facilities, well-kept docks, and easy access to the water.
Unfortunately, we arrived at the only transient slip available (4 total) to find it full of weeds, debris and litter on the surface, which prohibited us from fully pulling into the slip. As a boater who travels a fair amount, I look at a transient boat slip like most people look at a hotel room. I expect it to be clean and comfortable thus providing a good stay. However, this was not the case. Or if there is an issue with the slip, please contact me in advance and let me know the issues. Also, they do not offer docking assistance to transient boaters. MacRay is a very large facility with many of the docks owned privately, thus limited support for transient boaters. A map of the facility would be helpful due to its size, but they do not offer any. It does have a nice poolside grill (N42) with a great staff, and nice restroom / shower facilities. The Helm restaurant is no longer operating, although it is listed on their website. Lastly, we did receive a visit from the dockmaster later that evening and he indicated they were working on the weed and debris issue. Enjoy the Journey!
Great staff and Marina! N42 restaurant was fabulous!
One of the best if not best marina we have ever visited. Everything about this place is amazing.
Wish I could give 10 stars... we have been members of MacRay for 10 years and love it!!! Very clean, family (and dog) friendly, floating docks, beautiful pool, pump out at our dock and so much more!! We couldn't recommend MacRay more!
Staff is amazing. Facilities are always in great shape
Wonderful stay with great bath / shower facilities. Easy check in and nice well. Thank You MacRay Harbor Marina!
We loved our stay at MacRay. It's a full service marina - really nice facilities, every single person we interacted with was lovely and friendly. I'd say the best service we've had at a marina. There marina shop is fully stocked with everything you need, you get a free pump out and gas discount with your stay. Free coffee in the morning courtesy of Skipper Buds. BBQs and a covered tent on site if the weather doesn't cooperate. Every slip has a picnic table and deck box. They've truly thought of everything. I'd say the only little thing is that you can't bring your own alcohol into the pool area, which is something we enjoy about marinas. However, in lieu of that, they offer pool side drink/food service, which is also really awesome, so I guess the next best thing. We will definitely stay again, and don't think anybody would be disappointed staying here.
