Valentines Resort & Marina

Would have given a five star rating but Docks are very worn and have to be careful of loose planks which almost caused a header into the water. They really need cleats because the wood breaks off with lines and splinters are common. The ferries also cause a wake to come through. They also really need to have garbage bins on docks. It really is not as bad as I made it sound but these are some observations. It really was a nice vacation and pleasant stay at Valentine’s. great dock master, nice resort and a pleasant place to stay.

This location is definitely one of the best in Harbor Island - the ease of access to all the hot spots is great - definitely some rolling in the slips but our gyro handled most of it - the bar and the Boat House restaurant were staffed well and service was amazing - Kia was our best server in all of the Bahamas so far!! - side note Tisha at LSC Golf Cart Rentals was amazing at getting us a nice new CLEAN Golf Cart and did so conveniently to our schedule.

Marina is newly rebuilt post Dorian and in excellent condition. I spoke with the owner who had a great roadmap of planned improvements and has clearly done a lot in a short period of time, so it will only get better.

By far the best location in Harbor island but the resort is showing signs of wear an tear. I believe they are struggling due to the increased fees in cruising permits and business is slow. The fees have been reduced now but it seems to have caused them a cash flow issue. With fewer yachts in the marina the docks were very prone to boat wake mostly generated by the taxi fleet at the government dock along side the marina and multiple yachts passing by to dock at the other 2 marinas further south. That's a curtesy issue for sure. No fuel available at the marina was one of a few noticeable signs of decay. I hope they can turn it around and put the shine back on the place. Also daily billing for electric charges is a bit much. caused our bank to cancel our credit card thinking it was fraudulent. Did not receive a breakdown of charges at check out, meter readings etc. so a lot of leg work to try audit all the charges after our stay for nearly a month.

Excellent location with a fantastic dock staff. Dillan was always there to help with a smile and Marcus, the dockmaster was a real pro who takes a lot of pride in his Marina. Great pool, bar/restaurant on site as well as a dive shop. Can’t wait to return. Thank you from the crew of Be Right Back.

Terrific marina and terrific town. Great bar. Unfortunately the marina is just south of the government dock. Taxis wake the marina constantly. While we were swimming in the nice pool our boat was hit by a huge wake. No damage but we will remember it next time.

We spent 10 days here over Easter of 2026. We loved everything about this marina. The docks, restaurant, pool and beach were all wonderful. The dock master took really good care of us. There is a little issue with the wake from the water taxis but only during the day and manageable. It would be nice if they would slow down a bit while in the marina but oh well.

Nice place overall but the 2 things that would keep me from coming back are A. The water taxi’s that come and go every 20 min at top speed right from the dock of the marina and you are rolling in your slip all day. B. The price of electricity here is criminal. We paid almost $100 dollars a day at one point and an average of $90. We were in Green turtle for 8 days and our entire electric bill was $354 i assume they get their electric from the same source.?? The marina is less than 1/4 full, maybe that’s the reason.

It’s always a pleasure to stay at Valentines . The dock Master Marcus is always helpful and friendly . The owner is a stand up guy and runs a great operation . Can’t say enough good things about the whole group there .

Every was great. Awesome dock staff. Marcus and Dillion were always ready to help.

The docks are fine, and the Dockmaster is a great guy.... However, they advertise that they have Pumpout service. They do not. They have on-site laundry facilities; they do not. The beach is beautiful, but not across the street, about 1/4 mile away. Cater more to vacationers at the resort than the marina guests.

Best location in the heart of town where you can walk to everything, the marina bar is affordable with great food and drinks and the staff is super friendly. Out of the 3 marinas at Harbour Island this one is our favorite by far.

We were warmly welcomed and helped at the dock, then offered a golf cart rental to get around.

Excellent assistant dock master. All staff was cordial and helpful. Will return!

Great place. Very accommodating for pets and kids. Had a great stay and ended up extending our stay a few more nights. Really enjoyed the place.

Always a fun great place. Pier issues several night due to island power - not Valentines issues.

Great, upscale marina right in the heart of the action in Harbour Island. We will definitely be back.

No ice EVER available. Told to go to the gas station for ice which is owned by Marcus the dockmaster. No help with luggage from boat.

Very pleasant and accomodating. Good food and people!
