This is the best marina we've ever stayed at. The crew are so welcoming to the boaters, and do a great job catching the ropes and assisting as we pull into the docks.

This is our third stay at Clayton Harbor Municipal Marina. Abby the marina manager is always friendly and helpful. The docks are great and so is the location. I just wish there was a club house or a covered gazebo. The Great Lakes Cruising Club had a Lake Ontario rally at this time and either amenity would have been great.

Very nice newer docks. Power, water, and wi-fi was very sketchy to non-exitent. It may be an idea to install transmitting antennas on the dock/s to improve this service. The dock attendant was somewhat confused as to what he was expected to do and how to do it upon our arrival. Perhaps as an upgrade in the future, larger facilities, insofar as the washrooms and shower, could be addressed. We will return..only issue was contacting CBP, not a Clayton Marina issue but it does cause an inconvenience to arriving Canadian boaters.

Great town near by the marina

Our stay was great. Staff were friendly and professional. Location is top notch especially if accessing hotel or restaurants in town. Fuel dock at RJ marine is just on the other side of town and open 24 hours. Facility was recently renovated is exceptional quality, clean and in excellent condition. Some staff are new and still learning, so let’s all be patient as they gain experience.

The young fellow that seemed to be harbour master was terrific and made rounds of docks daily to ask his guests if all was good or they needed anything and doing so again just before leaving for the night. Nice to see a young man engaged in his employment

Very nice marina and a very cute little town. We enjoyed Hops Stop for dinner and stocking up on cheese at River Rat.

Our only problem was that when we checked in they gave us doc 26 then when we actually pulled in they gave us 28. We were in and out and we pulled in once they waved us to 28 which was out doc. They said are you just staying for a night? We said no we have been here for days this is our doc. We went out the next day and came back our doc # 28 had a boat in it and it was after hours . So we just chose another doc. Unorganized as far as what docs are reserved for who. I would suggest putting some type of sign when a doc is taken.

Windy conditions made for a bit of a rough stay. Facilities are great and near the town which is very handy. Unfortunately, when we arrived around 4pm the dock master had already left for the day so we weren’t sure where to dock at first but all worked out.

Enjoyed Clayton Municipal Marina. Staff right there to assist us docking. Very friendly. Marina is clean, floating docks in perfect condition. The location can’t be beat, beautiful views of the River. So close to everything in Clayton.

Restrooms could have been a bit cleaner. However the docks are nice and pretty protected. Appreciate that the pumpout is free (to keep environment clean) especially that we liveaboard. Great location close to restaurants etc. Cute town.

Clean and well cared for facility. Helpful dock hands when you need them. Laundry on-site but is in the women's restroom. Protection from much of the waking in the channel, and free do it yourself pump out. Cost is reasonable, would stay again.

CHMM is a clean and friendly marina. they helped me limp in on one one engine. supported me while french creek marina service staff repaired my boat. everyone was helpful and we enjoyed our stay.

Prior to arrival the booking process was excellent. However as we approached the Marina we hailed Channel 71 to determine our slip assignment and the response was less than satisfactory. The weather conditions at the time were terrible with a 20 knot and heavy driving rain. The staff were non responsive initially, making us wait for over 10 minutes and then informing us that our slip was available and would not be available until 1:00 p.m. The time at this point was 11:00 a.m. We asked about a pump out and they told us where to find it but did not offer any assistance to dock. Again, remember the conditions at the time. We managed to dock at the pump out and in doing so spotted an open 40 foot dock with a reserved sign so again contacted the office and were told we could take it. The wind and rain were relentless so we asked for help to get off the pump out dock and into our slip. The staff reluctantly agreed and were frankly surly and clearly inconvenienced in having to help us dock. It is so unfortunate because your facility and the town itself is simply lovely. We were completely baffled as to why the staff would not automatically offer assistance to dock anytime but especially when the conditions were so poor. It seems that the Marina requires some sort of managerial oversight where the staff are kept busy helping your patrons. Uniform shirts, such as are found in most other marinas would also be a definite asset. Thanks for the opportunity to provide our feedback.

One of our favorite marinas. All dockhands are very friendly and helpful. The dock are beautiful and the bathhouses are always clean. We love it there.

We had another great stay at Clayton Harbour Marina. Every dock person I have met has been super friendly. They are always there to catch a line and greet you. The washrooms are clean as well as the docks. We love it there.

Great location with 700 ft freighters passing in front of marina. Clayton has made many upgrades to their waterfront. Clayton is a great town. The marina is reasonably priced, clean with movable cleats to match your boat.

Abby was very helpful in tying us up on a super windy day and answering all of our questions. The restroom /shower facilities are kept very clean. Beautiful docks with the best cleats ever! Walking distance to groceries, brewery, museums and many restaurants. Highly recommend to anyone passing this way.

My vessel requires more than 65+ feet of dock and more than 6 feet of water. The wall here was perfect though exposed a bit to the wakes of passing boats. The marina is clean and well staffed. Abbey is great to work with. It is very close to the Main Street in Clayton. Overall excellent.

We stay here (slip 10) when ever we come to Clayton. Abby and the rest of the crew are AWESOME...always there to help you land and ready to assist in any way. The facilities are top notch, clean and so convenient to all the shops and restaurants. We highly recommend the Clayton Harbor Marina.

We stayed two nights and employees were great. Very helpful and polite. Marina is in a great location and downtown were awesome.

The marina was very clean, dock attendants were very helpful. Facilities were very clean. The dock master was always pleasant and knowledgeable. Having availability of ice was nice and we stayed at Harbor Hotel next door making this a win win.

We had a great stay at Clayton Municipal Marina. We planned to stay for two nights but ended up spending three. We had a great time there and will be back. July 3rd was a very busy day in the marina and more planning will be needed for us to return next year. We had some issues docking with limited space due to the fireworks and I tapped an anchor upon docking and wrecked my window. Clayton Municipal was very apologetic and compensated us with an extra 2 nights stay! Thanks Clayton, it was greatly appreciated. Other than that our stay in Clayton was great! A really beautiful town to spend some time in. It's Americana themed and a perfect place to celebrate Independence Day Eve (July 3) and beyond! The fireworks were outstanding and we had the best view of the show.

Some marinas have great facilities, some have great people, sometimes you have to pay a premium in the hope that you will get both great facilities and people. At Clayton Harbor you will get the best, most professional Dockmaster in Abbey and she will provide you top quality facilities without a high price. Not to mention location.

Super clean, very convenient to town, quiet when it needs to be, good view and super Dockmaster!

Clean very well kept dock, only one shower for women & 1 men, but kept sparkling clean (with a pile of clean bathmats!) 1 washer/dryer in the woman's room, no lounge but we were able to go into the hotel if needed. Large grass parking area to store your truck & trailer while there. Dockmaster Abby took great care of us, we'll return.

Abbey carnegie, our dockmaster did all the great things to make our stay great. Clean heads, trash and recycle managed every morning, on-site to answer questions and provide ice and charming, funny personality. She is a keeper!

The docks are excellent and the views are magnificent. Excellent location; close to shops and restaurants. The staff is friendly. The bathrooms are nice but they need to be kept cleaner. At the end of the day the supplies should be re-stocked with extra paper and the towels and showers need to be cleaned.

Abby and her staff at Clayton Harbor Marina were outstanding!! The facilities are in great shape and include bathrooms, showers, and laundry. We were given assistance when needed, including an adapter for our electrical. We will be staying there again and recommend enthusiastically!!

The docks are brand new, large, and easy to access. This was definitely a plus especially with a sailboat and a 6ft. draft. However, the price for staying there is almost double of any other marina I have stayed at with no amenities to show for it, not even electricity, which costs extra! The bathrooms are open to the public which means a constant flow of joggers and walkers stopping in there and there are only 2 stalls. For laundry, there is only 1 washer and 1 dryer located in the women's room and again over priced. There are no barbecues or anything extra for the money. Although the location is fantastic, close to the "downtown" action the price is very steep. I think dropping the price back a bit and including electricity in the price would be a big improvement!

Had a great stay the young woman who runs things is always helpful and has a great attitude. We will be back!!

All the price....half the amenities. Nice employees very friendly. Now the rest. No parking at the marina. We trailered or boat up - we knew they didn't have a launch - but didn't know we would have to pay the hotel an additional $25.00 a day to park there. The facilities are open to the public - only one shower per side and only open from 7am to 7pm. NO pump out as stated. The no fishing sign in the marina is just a piece of paper. Daily fisherman next to my boat (you know how expensive canvas is). Went to get ice no employee -found it later they were mowing. We never received the password for the WiFi. Very nice docks though. Contacted the village of Clayton. No response. Honestly I'm not a complainer but at $99+ (slip plus parking) a night I'm sure we won't be returning.

Mallory and friends were very helpful! She gave us a few extra hours to enjoy the river since the mid-week bookings aren't that heavy. We enjoy using the Clayton Muni Marina because it is well equipped, clean and protected from most of the prevailing breezes. We'll be back!

Again we had an awesome night July 3rd at the marina. The young man we came around that night and in the morning was so polite. Abby ofcourse checked on us 1st thing the next day. Love it there. Only thing I would suggest is another trash can. The one out doors was full Friday night and so was the one in the ladies room. We had no place to put our trash Friday night. Thank you all for a very pleasant experience. Can't wait to stay again. Donna and Jim

A fine small marina in a nice town. Good floating docks (and with the rising waters of the lakes, a good feature for sure.) We're a 45'boat and had no problems with fitting in slips, thoroughfare width, whatever. Clayton is a nice town. The only downside is that provisioning isn't really available.

This is the nicest marina on the St. Lawerence River.... the staff Abby and Mallory are fantastic! My favorite town and destination to go to in the 1000 Islands.... this past weekend Clayton had it’s Jazz Festival in town which was a lot of fun as well.

Staff are untrained and no help with docking. Loud partying group playing gangster rap loud enough for the entire marina to hear and blocking the dock so people couldn't get through and dogs running lose!! Staff were no help with that either! Dock master not there. What happened to the dock master and staff from previous years! We'll go to the other marina next time as we love Clayton.

Great place to stay but dock hands seem less experienced then prior stays

Marina is as clean as usual. Unfortunately, marina office was unattended, and could not be reached for slip assignment via VHF (71) or phone. Alternate phone number was posted on marina office door - of little use from the water! Have to wonder if other transients that didn’t use Dockwa got to stay for free.

We stayed on the inside of the almost brand new concrete wall, 12’ depth. A short walk down the path leads you into a beautiful little town. Great stay, great location.

The marina and docks are always well maintained. The dock hands are there to assist you and are very welcoming. Clayton itself is an awesome, well kept community with lots of things to see and do. Lots of great restaurants. This is a must stop when on the river.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Men’s washroom (toilet seat) was filthy both days. Internet is pretty weak. The space between the two inside docks is very narrow. Makes docking even more stressful. Docks are beautiful and staff was very helpful, even in the pouring rain.

The staff are amazing! We were there for 10 days to get some repairs done. They were so helpful and caring!! Treats every day for the dog. We’ll be back next summer

Great staff who meet you at your slip and help you to dock! Staff are available if you have questions or need anything. Docks are very well maintained. Showers/bathrooms are very clean and a short walk from the dock. There is a free do to yourself pump out on the docks or staff can assist you. One washer and dryer in the ladies bathroom - both seem pretty new. Overall a wonderful marina and an awesome town. The only improvement needed is to the wifi on the docks. It was very spotty at best. The town is wonderful - go to the Clayton Boat Museum, the Wooden Boat Brewery, River Rats Cheese and check out the specials at the 1000 Islands Hotel. Great place to eat or grab a drink and sit by the fire pits on the patio. Would go back in a minute - Great Marina - Wonderful Area!

This municipal marina is thoroughly modern and efficient. Access is quite easy and it is well located in relation to the main business area of this picturesque town.

For the money we spent for our Pontoon boat to assured a spot to bring guests to attend a wedding (102.00) for Saturday PM (reserved Friday so we were sure to have access on Saturday, we thought that the "municipal" dock was extremely over priced. On top of that, there was NO service by any dock attendants! We were there at 2:30pm on a Saturday in the middle of summer on an 81 degree sunny day....where were they? For the money, it was NOT worth it.

This was our 2nd year staying at the Clayton Harbor Municipal Marina for our weekly vacation. Once again it was a great stay. The facilities are clean, the staff is super helpful and always so very nice.

I need to take a moment and commend Justin Taylor and his staff at Clayton Harbor Municipal Marina. When we arrived at the marina, Justin and his staff were there to help us in and get us tied up and secured. He explained the lay of the land, where to get dinner, where the shops, grocery and hardware store were and made himself available if we needed anything. Little did we know that we had burned up a shaft seal during our crossing of Lake Ontario. Justin worked tirelessly to help us find a haul out and mechanic to assist us with the repair. I can't say enough good things about Justin. He was a true friend in the time of need. He went above and beyond what anyone would have expected. Beyond the exceptional service by Justin, he also runs a first class marina. The Docks are all new, floating and in perfect condition. The pump out was excellent and his staff professional and knowledgeable. If you are cruising the Thousand Islands, you owe to yourself and your crew to stop in at Clayton Municipal Marina and enjoy all the town and Justin have to offer. If the ratings could go to 6 stars, this is the facility and staff that deserve it.

This is a terrific marina managed by a first rate harbor master in a wonderful little town. Justin Taylor is a great guy, knowledgeable, and very helpful. The marina is brand new with a generous layout protected from prevailing SW winds, spotless bathrooms with showers, and well-lit at night. The water in the harbor is so clean you can see the bottom under the boat. Clayton boasts the famous and highly recommended Antique Boat Museum and next door the Wood Boats Brewery (try the bourbon aged amber). ACE Hardware is loaded with stuff and shopping in town is abundant as are the restaurants. There are ample boat repair facilities nearby to include St. Lawrence Restoration Co next door that did a great job patching a crack in a fiberglass tank for us. We’ll be back after exploring the Thousand Islands.

Excellent Marina, wonderful staff.

Essentially new docks that exceed the quality of most marinas we have visited. Make no mistake, even though this is a municipal marina, it was designed by a highly experienced harbor master, Justin Taylor. Note that transportation is a little tough to find in Clayton. Justin generously took us to Watertown and we were able to find a rare Uber back to the marina.

Love the marina! The staff is very helpful as well. One tiny complaint, more than 1 shower would be great! We definitely will be back.

Wonderful time in Clayton, NY. First class!

Latest of several overnights at CHMM and have to say it's one of our favourite spots on The River. Staff are friendly, facilities are new and clean and the other guests fun and considerate each time. We'll be back for many more visits to enjoy the facility and the lovely town of Clayton.

We enjoyed our stay very much! The staff was friendly,knowledgeable and always willing to help. The facilities are very clean and well kept. Docks are brand new and slips are wide. Water was clean and deep.

Great stay! Hard working and accommodating staff..

I wish to thank the staff who went above and beyond to accommodate us the weekend of august 5th. The level of service was second to none with the added benefit of great facility. The town council and Mayor have a lot to be proud of with the team and facilities.

Simply a wonderful stay but most impressive was the kindness of marina staff.

The young staff were awesome. Got a mechanic to come look at a problem on my boat within forty minutes. The facility is awesome and clean. We will be back.

apart from the internet not working the stay was excellent. The Harbor Master's office has internet but it does not reach the slips. The Wi-Fi therefore for the marina is faulty.

Beautiful docks and great staff. Hookups are convenient and plentiful.

Had a great weekend in Clayton. Dock attendants are awesome. He must have asked us 5 times on Saturday if everything was good and if there was anything he could do for us!!
