Great marina and hotel amenities. Check currents. 1+ kts in the slips. Sailboats may have plenty of depth in the slip but low tide may not be able to get out. I draw 7.5 and bumped. If entering from south stay west of G3 and G5 (out of channel) for deeper water.
Great marina Great Dock Master Fun night.
Rick is a phenomenal Dockmaster. He actually helped us on multiple occasions coming back in after a cruise. Wind and water kicked up and he was only a text away. Highly recommended.
Very nice marina hotel
Dockmaster Rick was on the docks awaiting our arrival as promised. He treated us to some great hospitality and assistance as we got situated in our slip. I had been warned about the possibility of large wakes from passing boats but we fendered up and with Rick’s help secured our 33’ boat for a one-night stay at the Hyatt. It was a great experience from start to finish and we look forward to our next visit and stay. Thanks Rick!
Marina itself is somewhat basic. There were no showers, but the manager said he could get us into a room for a shower if we needed one. Make sure you get an access key to get into the lobby after hours. This is where the bathrooms are. The associated hotel is very nice with a lobby bar. All hotel amenities are included with the slip. Breakfast buffet was a nice bonus. Many good restaurants within walking distance.
The staff at the Hyatt were nice, but the marina is treated as an amenity, not a service. There were no dockhands nor an ability to tie a meal tab to the slip. Both are minor inconveniences. The docks themselves would benefit from wave dampening. The channel carries a lot of traffic that throw wakes into the marina.
The docks , marina and hotel were very nice. There were no dock hands and no cleats for tying the boat lines. Either or both would have been helpful. All in all, though, a very nice faciliary.
Overall it was an OK experience. Docks were good, electric and water at each slip, grounds were kept nice and you have access to the hotel pool and free breakfast was a plus. It was convenient for us as we had guest staying at the hotel. I will say that Sheri was wonderful, great communication prior to our arrival, and she even gave me a ring once we got settled to make sure we were good. The only real down fall is that you are completely exposed to wind and wave traffic, we stayed on the boat 2 nights and both nights had a south west wind that rocked us REALLY bad ALL night long. I think this is a great marina for anyone coming in by boat, BUT staying in the hotel, not staying on the boat.
The docks did not have cleats and they were tall for my boat.
The manager met us at the dock and greeted us with all the information we needed! The location is awesome and the pool and free breakfast buffet were nice perks. Would definitely stay here again!
Very clean and modern hotel. Friendly desk staff, but no one at the dock if you come by water as we did. Plenty of slips to pick from upon arrival and right in front of the hotel, just remember your on your own when docking and tying up.
This is one of our favorite places to stay. This was the first time coming by boat. The staff is always warm and welcoming, the facility is neat and clean. You won’t be disappointed
