Plymouth Harbor |
Plymouth Harbor has been welcoming guests for nearly 400 years, so it’s Plymouth Yacht Club’s pleasure to have you stay with us. As you may expect, there are a few rules and regulations about staying in the harbor, but the club is now happy to extend the option of booking your mooring reservation in advance, online.
To rent a mooring, there is a $65.00 per night fee includes the use of the club facilities (Top Side Bar, showers, laundry, launch service, etc.). Pump-out services are available 24/7 at the Harbor Master pier and boat-side on weekends. We can accommodate yachts up to 45 feet
Love the crew here, so helpful and pleasant! Always a pleasure with the yacht club. See you soon. Thank you.
Beautiful harbor , yacht club, and great service.
Awesome week, great service as always. Guys that work the tenders are the best!
Great mooring, Friendly staff and welcoming members.
We had a wonderful time at the Plymouth Yacht Club. Beautiful harbor, launch service, and the members made us feel at home. Will definitely return.
Perfect, very helpful in locating the mooring ball. Would do it again.
Great for transients. Club is well run and the building is easy to access. The launch service is stellar: prompt, professional and very nice. Showers have hot water but the pressure was lower. Location is very close to town center, and and tourist stuff. The launch drivers even took us over to the town dock to show us where the fuel dock was located. We would definitely stay there again.
We stay here every time we visit Plymouth. The Plymouth Yacht Club and its members are always welcoming. Nice facilities and lovely amenities.
Very nice facilities for the boater, great location and friendly YC membership.
The friendliest, most welcoming club we have been to in a long time. Highly recommend it!
There should be a sixth Star to rate this Club. I called for availability prior to booking on Dockwa. Gary apologized that there were no moorings available for for that evening. While looking for an alternative, I received a phone call asking if I was the one that had called for a mooring as they received a cancellation. We were met by the launch driver who led us to our mooring. My wife was busy trying to choose a lunch spot on her phone and found the perfect spot. We called for a launch which promptly picked us up. As we were walking up the dock, she asked for directions and distance to the restaurant. We were given the information when the Launch operator said "Why don't I just take you on the Launch? With this king of welcome, we asked the Launch operator if he could check to see if they had the following night available. He confirmed us but said we would have to move to another mooring with a slightly cautious approach. As we returned to our mooring the launch operator showed us the approach to the new mooring and pointed it out. The next morning we advised that we were about to go to the next mooring. We were told to wait a few minutes because they were putting a pick-up buoy on the mooring for us. (Pretty helpful with a crew of three women in their 60's ad crew)! The facilities and bar were outstanding as well as numerous new friends we made during our stay. We would be honored to have them welcome us next summer to stay a few days! Grand Day Out, Grand Banks 36
Mooring location a bit busy. Convenient to town, helpful staff
Very friendly and inviting yacht club in a nice setting. Nice facilities. Big launch with friendly driver. Dinner and drinks on the lawn, which was good and convenient since the nearby restaurant had a 2-hour waitlist.
Nice setup on your he moorings. We were at number1 mooring. Great boat watching position. Didn’t get a chance to check out the facilities, but maybe on our way back
Great stay in Plymouth! PYC launch is very quick and will bring you to the club or downtown area.
We have stayed here several times and the hospitality never disappoints. A bonus...Lily makes great Margaritas as well
We stayed over 4th of July, very busy but staff was great and professional, tender service was fast and courteous, will stay again.
Great location and taxi service was easy to use. Hope to do it again next summer!
This is a great place to stay if you are in Plymouth. It is very convenient to downtown. Showers were OK, Dinghy dock was crowded, but we made space. The staff was very friendly. Sitting on the porch and admiring the harbor with a beverage was the best!
Yacht club was fine but mooring was right next to the channel and there was a whole lot of boat traffic that despite the no wake zone, made it a bit bouncy.
We always love coming to Plymouth Yacht Club. I actually worked there when I was growing up and it feels like coming home. Everyone there is so friendly and inviting. I really cannot say enough nice things about the waterfront staff. Even though we are there only occasionally they all remember our names. Special thanks to Thomas and Gary (and Justin, though we did not see him during this visit). We will certainly be back!!
great stay, beautiful place. the launch shuttle service was the best!
It was perfect!!It would be nicer if the restaurant was open and had better food but nice bar and deck and decent facilities. Very helpful launch service that helped us find our mooring and were there when we needed them.
Ahead of our visit the communication was excellent. Upon arrival we enjoyed prompt, helpful response from the launch operator and a welcoming atmosphere at the yacht club. This was our second year making the trip to Plymouth and I am sure that we will return in the future.
Good protected mooring balls. We were the furthest out and closest to break wall but launch service was quick and responsive. Good facilities and very nice operators. 65 per night seemed steep but worth the visit. It is very tight spacing between mooring balls.
PYC is a wonderful organization. If I lived in Plymouth, I'd be begging for membership!! Love stopping here!
We had another great stay at PYC as in the past. Staff was friendly, helpful and professional. The club , faculties and launch were well maintained.
Very friendly and accommodating. Launch service excellent. Would definitely use again 👍👍
Very friendly and responsive to all of our requests.
We inquired about whether we could stay another night on the mooring due to inclement weather, and we had a prompt reply in the affirmative, though conditions improved enough that we could be on our way. We also found that the showers were very nice--clean and plenty of warm water.
Great place to check out! Nice yacht club and everyone is friendly! Great mooring with prompt and launch services. we will be back, thanks for the great time! cheers
Wonderful and friendly waterfront staff -- as always!
I left my boat on a mooring for 5 days while I went home to work. I did not spend much time at the club but I had an excellent experience with the people I met. Staff was very nice and accommodating.
Always a great place to stay. Staff very professional and accommodating. Looking forward to returning.
Launch service was prompt. Mooring was available when we got there.
Great staff, great launch service & great showers. Restaurant & bar look good, however I did not dine or drink there.
As usual, easy access, very courteous and helpful launch drivers. Clean facilities too!
Stayed on a mooring and the launch staff was great. They showed us where our mooring ball was and ferried us to town right at the Mayflower ll dock as it was late in the day and we didn't want to miss touring the iconic vessel. The town is youthful and not just a tourist spot. Many restaurants nearby as well PYC offering food that evening. Great stay, thank you
Gary and the folks at PYC were very accommodating as we ran into the harbot to avoid a violent storm. Great facilities and a nice spot to relax with a drink before heading north!
Great experience. There are a couple of friendly launch drivers (though we used our dinghy) but good location. As a larger boat (right at the 45' cutoff) our mooring was right at the entrance, and it got a little rocky as some boats seem to struggle reading the "no wake" sign. But not their fault, so they earn 5 stars!
The Club is a quintessential New England yacht club; very welcoming too.
Great crew. Arrived on the busiest time of the day. Launch met us and guided us to our mooring Club was wonderful. Shoutout to Pam and Peter for being so kind and welcoming. Cheers! Jubilee Yacht Club. Sue & Chris
Wonderful Yacht Club in a wonderful harbor. PYC is ideally situated within walking distance to restaurants, shops & the Historic sites in town and a short Uber to the remote village site. Launch drivers are extremely nice and efficient. Club facilities are great, affable bartender, showers are super clean and laundry is right by the showers. Everyone was very welcoming and we hope to stop in when we’re headed back south at the end of summer
We were sorry that there was a private party so the bar wasn’t open. Great place to stay while in Plymouth.
Not enough information as to where to find the dinghy dock or where the showers are located. We would have liked more information
Nice moorings. The launch driver directed us to the mooring and welcomed is to Plymouth. People at the club were friendly. Will stop in on our next trip.
Everyone was so helpful, informative and just so kind!!
Very friendly and accommodating club. Great location .. just a short walk to the rock and the mayflower replica. Nice restaurants just down the street.
Excellent stay! Great Yacht Club. The facilities were clean and easily accessible. The members were inviting. The bar is the best in town. The mooring field can get a little rollie as the fishing boats go in and out. I look forward to my next visit.
Great place. Launch service prompt. Includes club house with great bar and view.
Easy in/out and launch service. Nice town area to visit with lots of restaurants.
This is a very professional, well-run club. Very amenable to visiting yachtsmen.
When we arrived in Plymouth and called the Plymouth YC dock, the dock master said they had no record of our booking and had no vacant moorings. Luckily the neighboring Safe Harbor Marina had a slip, was expensive of course, but we had no recourse. I visited the Plymouth Yacht Club later and spoke to the manager. Our booking came up right away on his computer. He apologized for the mistake and I have requested reimbursement of our mooring fee and our expenses at Safe Harbor Marina. I did not get an explanation as to how the booking is on his computer but not known at the dock.
The location is beautiful, The staff and members were very friendly, the facilities were great and the town was a lot of fun! cant be beat.
Great view of the harbor from the clubs upper deck where you can enjoy your favorite libation.
We had the best stay! We had a fabulous mooring spot in the harbor and each PYC launch driver was fast, friendly and extremely helpful.
Great locacation and staff. Launch service very good (8am start). Great view from the bar with outdoor seating and great staff. My only issue was that I was under the impression that the bathroom facility was available 24/7 but when I arrived at 6:45 am it was locked. Not sure what time at night they locked it but it is not available 24 hours a day. -2 stars.
Very Welcoming Club. Excellent facilities and great location. The launch drivers who help you to your mooring are the best! We will definitely be back. Thank you!
This is a great marina. The staff were all helpful and friendly. Wonderful launch services. All Covid protocols followed. Yes
Very efficient and very polite launch staff. Thank you.
Accommodating staff, timely and attentive. Restrooms were easily accessible and clean. Not a bad walk to downtown restaurants and historic sights.
Very good, they came out to show me where the mooring was. Clean bathrooms too
Great place: convenient location, professional staff, clean facilities.
Lovely harbor, beautiful views of Plymouth and PYC very COVID sensitive. Easy accessibility to shore. Would have liked to plan more time in the area.
We stopped at Plymouth Yacht Club on our way from Hingham to Marion. We stayed on a PYC mooring for one night and were very impressed by the hospitality of the club and its staff. It’s a beautiful location, and the club is located just a short distance from the heart of downtown Plymouth. PYC also seemed to be doing a great job requiring masks to be worn and implementing social distancing. We would definitely stay here again!
We have been going to Plymouth Yacht club for several years now. They are always very nice and accommodating. This year with the Pandemic I found everyone to follow the guidelines can be very concerned for one another's health. My only complaint has been that the transient moorings are right on the edge of the main channel coming in and 50% of the boats do not slow down at the breakwater where the "no wake marker is" It can make for a very bumpy day. Will still keep going back. Lovely place, great people.
Enjoyed our stay here in Plymouth a nice stop between cape cod cannal and Boston. Large mooring field behind breakwall and club has a few moorings available for guests. Efficient launch service to the yacht club where there is a nice lawn and a short walk to town.
Have been here before. The amenities are very good. Great folks on the launches. Great place to watch all kinds of boats going in and out of the harbor.
Beautiful spot. Very well protected and comfortable overnight mooring.
Even under challenging circumstances we had a great stay at PYC. Thank you to the very professional and accommodating staff!
Very welcoming....fun staff and members. Great Bar and sunset. We will certainly stay there again!
Great spot! Very friendly club members and wonderful staff - very helpful.
Great place to stop! Staff is very responsive and helpful. Meet us out in the channel and showed us our mooring. Launch service is superb. They charge a little more than the town moorings but it is well worth it. If we are back in the area this is where we will be staying!
Great yacht club, friendly staff, members make you feel very welcome
PYC was awesome. Alert and friendly waterfront staff, welcoming members, great facility ( heads, showers, lawn, porch and bar). Harbor and moorings are safe and snug, although getting to the harbor from open water is a 4 mile winding path around peninsulas and sandbars. Watch the buoys and charts and mind the big power boats and commercial traffic that throw big wakes until you get to the inner harbor. Plymouth is what it is, but we found some great antique shops and excellent restaurants.
Staff was friendly, helpful and very area this would be a club I would belong to. Nice grounds. Moorings with slips for loading and staging a cruise only. Busy harbor with recreational and commercial use coexisting. Well patrolled. Restaurants, shops and a nice old town to walk around taking in the history. Highly recommended.
Staff was so friendly and helpful. Club was super clean and loved sitting outside on the deck after being on the boat all day. Can’t wait to stay again.
The Plymouth Yacht Club doesn't disappoint. The members are friendly to transients and the launch crew is top notch. Extra credit this time: my dinghy liberated itself and was drifting through the mooring field. A quick call to the launch and they were out ASAP to recover it.
It was OK. The people at PYC were very good, but there was lots of confusion regarding rafting boats together. I think this is primarily driven by the harbormaster, but I found it very frustrating to get a straight answer. They said if we rafted and the winds picked up, we could be told to "un-raft". And that they were going to rent out the mooring I paid for if we rafted. So potentially we could have to untie in the middle of the night and have nowhere to go in windy conditions! Crazy! After a significant amount of back and forth, the agreed to keep our mooring open. Again, the mooring we already paid for!
PYC staff was very friendly, accommodating & tenders reliable/timely, however I had no idea swimming in the mooring field & hanging out on the floats was not allowed. Harbormaster monitors EVERY move and we gave them no reason to look out for us (we are quiet and respectful boaters). The only reason we got a mooring instead of a slip was to enjoy the cape waters so this was a HUGE disappointment and we won’t be back.
Good launch service, welcoming club house that was convenient to downtown
Very helpful staff, beautiful location and facility, quiet harbor.
Plymouth Yacht Club could not have been nicer or more welcoming. However, Plymouth Harbor isn't suitable for a deeper draft sailboat. I draw 7.2 ft and communicated this via Dockwa for the reservation. However, at low tide, there isn't a mooring that can handle my boat. Had to leave a 5:00 AM to avoid sitting on the bottom at the mooring for a few hours.
Friendly, attentive staff. Nice facilities. So convenient. The way to stay in Plymouth, especially on a calm, warm evening - on a cool slip.
Our visit to the yacht club was excellent. We were promptly met and escorted to our mooring and launch service was quick and easy. The showers were very clean and well maintained. We headed upstairs to the 3rd floor for a drink at the Yacht Club Bar. The members were quite friendly and we had lively conversation with several folks. The drinks were well made and at a great price. View from the 3rd floor balcony over the harbor is hard to beat on a great night.
Treated like a member. Though we had a dinghy, launch service provided us with transportation to the state pier where I had launched our boat. Would like to rent a mooring again.
I really enjoyed staying at pyc! Great amenities with the use of the topside bar showers and unlimited launch service included in the the $65.00 fee. Best value in the harbor.
I did not stay at the Plymouth Yacht Club due to weather altering my plans. The people on the phone were very friendly. They only get 3*s because of their lengthy advance notice needed to get a refund cancellation.
The moorings at PYC were great and the launch service made hopping on shore for dinner easy. There are nearby moorings in Plymouth Harbor that are a bit better for late night fishing, as the PYC moorings sit in very shallow water at low tide.
Great facility! Friendly launch service. Don't miss the upstairs bar!
The Staff is alwaya very hospitable. They make you feel welcome as a guest at their marina.
Great launch service, members were friendly and helpful. Also was able to bring a car down to the dock to load up.
Very welcoming club. Excellent launch service with convenient hours!
