Do yourself a favor and don't book a transient slip here. I understood (though still choked) at the cost over the holiday weekend. I was ready for the wait for the 2 bascule bridges and the very shallow conditions. Completely unacceptable was the poor dock condition and poorer customer service. The codes to the gates and restrooms expired the night of our arrival and we were locked in/out the next morning prior to our departure. No toilet/shower/gate access. When I called to ask for a partial refund, I was told that I paid for the slip and power and that the bathrooms are only a nice extra and why didn't I use the Porta-potties. That's like telling me I booked a hotel and only paid for the bed and lights, but I shouldn't expect to be able to use the bathroom or take a shower. Ridiculous!

Marina Response:
Hello Lynn, again, sorry you were so disappointed with our marina. However, let me point out that you departed on 9/1 and had only called us TODAY to say anything. Nonetheless, called us on the AFTER HOURS phone line (during business hours) which was given to you when you made your reservation. The dock issue, had not been brought to our attention by the boater who departed the day before your arrival. So, we never learned of this problem until Saturday from another boater. We are a small marina and do not have a service team on the clock or on call 24/7. So, that dock issue was unable to be fixed (until today, when it was fully repaired). Furthermore, had you used the AFTER HOURS number for its intended purpose (the issue of your code not working) at the time you were experiencing said issue, it would have been resolved immediately. Lastly, no where in our conversation did I ASK you why you hadn’t used the port o potty; I informed you that there were also port o potty’s that were accessible. Again… you called a number which was plainly stated in your email “if you need assistance outside of business hours, please text or call XXXX” THREE DAYS LATER expecting a refund of some kind. All of it could have been avoided had you used the tools given to you at time of reservation and leading up to your arrival AND during your arrival. As I said, sorry you feel you got jipped in some way, but $3.00 per foot per night is not unreasonable for a holiday weekend. Which is the rate you paid. Once again, we’re sorry you feel this way, but you had all the tools to have an enjoyable experience. You just didn’t use them wisely. Happy Boating!
