My family has been hauling out here since the original Mr. Gibson started the place and there were only a handful of boats in the small yard. It is sad to see the greedy new generation ruining what was once a great place to do your own work at your own pace. They are now charging full service yard prices for absolutely NO SERVICES. You have to place your own straps and stands and they charge YOU to powerwash your bottom by the hour. Can they tell you that they don't know what they hell they are doing any clearer? The new power is only in half of the yard so be prepared to burn out your power tools with the 80 amps that flow through the busier side of rhe workyard. They haven't put down new gravel in decades so the workyard floods during rainy season and makes work impossible in the swamp. They have a new 60 day time limit in the work yard before they jack up the rates by 50% and have limited working hours in the yard. They claim that it is only if they decide you aren't working on your boat enough. These people are clueless money grubbers that don't know anything about boats and they'll decide if you are working enough?! What a joke. These new rules don't make sense for anyone who works for a living. This yard has turned into a complete joke. Mr. Gibson is surely rolling in his grave. Such a shame. Before you decide to go here read the other recent google reviews. I'm not the only one who is speaking up about the new generation taking over. The granddaughter who is the new heir of the yard lives in California and doesn't have a clue about boats or the needs of boaters. Eric the new yard manager is a yes man who does her bidding and has zero experience with working on boats. Save yourself the headaches and money by going somewhere else.
