All swimming pools, the Mansion, and Spa are closed for the 2024 season. Our mooring balls are first come first serve; dinghy in and check in at the office after you tie up to one. 30 or 50 amp power provided, see marina map photo for 50 amp locations. (50 amp is $15/night.)
There was marginal wifi and no cell service. It was our last night out and no communication made things a little challenging. Great sandwich at the cafe. Dock master was helpful to print out a road map.
Marina is great. Terry met us on arrival and gave helpful briefing and update on resort status. Showers are better but need hooks and niche for soap and shampoo. Cascade Bay was open but menu was very limited. Service delightful however. We love Rosario and really hope it gets the investment it still needs.
The only thing beautiful about our experience was the History of Rosario. Dock crew were very helpful. Food was expensive and inedible. Bathrooms were empty of paper products and filthy, showers filthy. Will not be back until new management improves the facility. Very disappointed.
Beautiful spot. Marina is easy to negotiate. Harbor master and crew were accommodating and friendly!
nice dock and facilities, helpful staff. Wifi coverage should be better
Dock was fine. Bathroom looked like it hadnât been cleaned all summer. Restaurant menu was terrible. Tacos were only available for breakfast? Pool by marina was closed supposedly for renovation but, it looked like the only issue was that it was not being maintained. Disappointing to see what was once a lovely place be so terribly managed.
Great facilities, great layout. We're looking forward to the resort renovation to be complete, and have access to the pools on property!
Very helpful staff. Lovely location. Too bad the pool is closed.
A great marina, still running well while the rest of the resort is undergoing renovations. I look forward to seeing the place when renovations are complete.
The docks are new but very few amenities are open, the quality of the food at the Grill is poor, and despite this moorage is still very expensive.
Sad â the resort is a shell of our former favorite. They tell you up front that the Mansion is closed. What they donât say is the loss of attention to detail at the other facilities. The one bright spot is the marina staff and management, they were as helpful as ever. The dockside restaurant is a different story. In the past it would hopping in the afternoon, and we would enjoy a happy hour cocktail and snack there once we secured the boat. This year as we approached rather than being greeted by a festive atmosphere, we looked in on a single staffer with his head down on on the the tables in an otherwise empty deck. We kept walking. The next day I checked out the store, even though folks on the dock were commenting on the high prices. It had a minimum of supplies and there was no cashier. After waiting a while, one of the restaurant staff walked in and nudged him, he was at the bar looking at his phone with his back to the store. Had to use a Square type device on his phone for checkout, $6.60 for a single can of Coke and a bag of M&Ms. The showers have been refinished with new tile but not a single hook or shelf to hang clothes. My wife also struggled getting hot water in the ladies room and one of the stall doors wouldnât close. Bottom line, if you just want a nice dock for the night, there are much cheaper locations and thatâs the only reason to visit at this time. We will not be back until we hear that they stepped back up.
Wow. This was our first visit to Rosario. I am new to docking/undocking my boat and Terry the harbor master and crew were beyond helpful. When I asked for dock assist leaving during intermittent gusts, Terry took the time to listen to my plan, offer advice and then gave us a helpful push away. Thank you, Terry! We are heading back in a few days with a new crew and can't wait to see y'all again. Marina and restrooms clean. Gift shops had a great variety of goods. Lovely grounds. Friendly supportive customer service.
Overall we enjoyed our stay in Rosario Marina. It's under new ownership and not fully operational. The Cascade Grill is the only open restaurant and serves a limited menu of sandwiches and pizza. The pizza was good, nothing special. They didn't seem to have a cocktail menu, but appear to serve wine and cocktails made from store bought mixes. We got lattes in the morning from the store, and while they have a fancy espresso machine, I'm not sure they know how to use it correctly, the coffees were average. Overall food and beverages seem pricey, in-line with other marinas in the area, but nothing really special and just mediocre quality. The docks themselves are in good shape and seemed quite wide and easy to maneuver into. The fuel dock is limited, slow and expensive. The views are gorgeous and everyone was friendly!
Great Marina staff and dock condition. New ownership could do more to incentivize visiting even when the resort is under renovation, but the quietness is equally appealing.
The marina is beautiful and well serviced. However, we came for the spa, museum and mansion, all of which were closed. The kind employee informed us of this when we docked. Nothing was posted on their website. While they did provide a discount, it was enough to justify the stay. When they reopen everything, we will return.
I love ROSARIO! We have been staying at the resort for years and we are super excited for the improvements to come. We have never stayed at the marina before and during this difficult time where everyone is social distancing we decided to give it a go. The docks are fantastic, so much room. A little rough on your bare feet so be sure to have dock shoes. The shower facilities could use some work, so we are hopeful that is in the plans. The grill was open and the wait staff made it feel like a true vacation. Especially Hugo, he is new and just so kind. Really connects with people. Water, power, a gas and visitor dock too. There is even a family of otters that fight under the docks, it was hilarious. We had so much fun, we stayed an extra night. We will definitely be back.
This is a nice marina that is in need of good consistant management. Last summer the outdoor grill/bar did not open at all which is one the attractions of this marina. The new docks are a much needed improvement and appreciated. There are great local hiking trails for all levels in the area and Eastsound is a quick cab ride.
