The purpose of this club shall be to encourage the sport of yachting, to promote the education and the science of seamanship and navigation, and to provide and maintain a suitable club house and anchorage for the recreation and use of its members.

Located in Hyannis Massachusetts, Hyannis Yacht Club is a membership of sailors and their families who share a common interest in sailing. Established in 1938, our members' commitment to the sport speaks for itself.

The Hyannis Yacht Club is positioned on Lewis Bay, just minutes from Nantucket Sound and Hyannis Harbor. Because Nantucket Sound is listed as one of the nation’s top 10 best places to sail Hyannis Yacht Club has been host to many regional, national, and international sailing events. In the past, HYC has held the 5o5 World Championships, the Laser and Laser Masters World Championships, and the Sunfish Word Championships and is the choice of many classes to hold events.

HYC is a participatory club with racing, social, cruising, and other sailing related activities which appeal to sailors of different skills, experience, and interests. The Club promotes high quality, friendly competition, good sportsmanship and camaraderie among sailors. Additionally the Club maintains a very active junior program.

HYC also boasts a fine dining restaurant serving seafood and steaks in an elegant setting. The restaurant is open year round for lunch and dinner.
