Convenient location. Nice, helpful staff. Unfortunately, the place is badly rundown. It's like a cross between a dilapidated 1960's gas station and an old Popeye cartoon. No floating docks so you should be agile enough to climb into and out of your boat. Everything you see here is either corroded, dirty, rusty or worse. And forget the gross showers. The bottom of shower curtains were coated in black mold. Just fifty bucks or so would replace all of them. Some areas are potentially dangerous too. With the right owners and investment this marina would be great.
Excellent mooring. The field is well protected, and a quick dingy ride into the dock. Only complaint is that the dinghy dock seemed to be mostly occupied by permanent artifacts with lines tightly tied… difficult to get a spot. We didn’t use any shore services.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean restrooms, showers, and laundry. We stay here almost every year as we cruise from Maine to New York.
The office and crew were very accommodating and friendly.
It’s a great place to catch your breath and resupply. Fishing gear and bait onsite as well as well protected from west and north.
Irene was fantastic. Took a mooring to watch Sailfest Fireworks. Easy dinghy ride to downtown New London. Would stay on a mooring here again. One downside was the pool water was a markey green color, disappointed not to take a dip in the pool.
Great place. We always pick up a mooring when we are passing through. Great family owned marina.
Very protected and easy communication. We had a very nice stay.
Very run down marina. Needs a lot of work to improve and clean it up.
Old and tired marina. Was told there would definitely be someone to help us if we arrived before 5. Well, after calling on the vhf twice with no response I called by cell and told someone was there to help. He basically just pointed to slip and that was it. Showers were size of old phone booths.
This is not the most modern facility but it has everything I could ever need and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back.
Nice people, but needs a lot of updating,my 50 amp power did not work.a couple of decent restaurants nearby but not a clean or nice area.
We stayed here once or twice. It's less expensive than other places on the river but it's not a 5. We loved the people, they are very friendly. We enjoyed having lunch and dinner at the places there. The pool wasn't working the times we were there, but has been open since then.
