Good directions in due to low water levels. We had no issues. Clean facilities. Nice people and lots of restaurants in town.

Arrived late afternoon as part of a 10 boat flotilla coming through the lock. Worker on the dock did a great job directing us to our slips. Everything was in good working order, and we enjoyed a fine dinner at the Tiki Turtle.

The crew of Sol Mate had a great time at GTB.

Easy walk to the town and other facilities. Plenty to see and do.

They have done a great job managing the big influx of loopers.

This was our second stay at GTBR. Nice place to stop for a few nights. We enjoyed going to the Tiki Turtle for dinner. On Saturday we used the courtesy car to go into town for groceries. They were swamped with other Loopers but were still friendly and well organized. Regulars on the dock were super friendly. Highly recommended if you are planning to stay in this area.

Nice marina and docks. Enjoyed the Spa services and the beautiful wooded surrounding. It was great to be able to rent a golf cart and also the access to a courtesy car.

I've heard nothing but good things about the marina. We arrived after the office had closed in near darkness because of a lock delay. The slips are not numbered nor are the docks labeled adequately to determine where to go without guidance. The slip assigned to us appeared to be too narrow for our beam so we tied up to the end of one dock. Another boat came in who had our slip after we were tied up. They were kind enough to move to the fuel dock for the night. The marina needs better maps provided online, and better dock and slip labeling. It was expensive for just an overnight without the ability to use any of the facilities.

Very nice marina! Spent a week here. The good: the local area has plenty to do. We were able to use the courtesy van to provision in Benton. Rented a golf cart for a couple of days. Used the beach and had a couple of bonfires with fellow loopers. We were in a nice covered slip. Clean bathrooms and laundry on site. Great ships store ( not the marina store) Also the Tiki bar is open Thursday through Sunday. The not so good: Where we were docked… 3 slips from end of pier 5…. You have a very long walk to get to the bathrooms, laundry, ships store etc… Tried to rent a golf cart on Thursday for the 2 day special, was told they were rented out for the weekend starting on Friday, could get it for the day but no discount since it was for 1 day. Went by there Friday afternoon and there were more than a dozen carts there and checked again Saturday and saw the same… so??????? Overall a good stop but thee hype is more than the actual.

We had a great time at GTB. The staff was phenomenal. We had issue with our boat and the staff was very supportive, patient, and helpful. The grounds and facilities were well kept. Plenty of amenities. We will be back.

Always a great place to stay! Wish the restaurant and bar was open more frequently and that the fuel station opened a little earlier too, but all in all we love spending time with other loopers on your transient slips.

Great stay. Bathrooms excellent, laundry room excellent, grounds impeccable, loved having a golf cart for complete access to to whole marina as well as Grand River.

Very nice Marina. Great accommodations! One warning…. We fueled up. Quoted price of $4.45 but was not told that does NOT include tax. Fuel price always includes tax. Be aware. Gentlemen at fuel dock were very helpful and friendly. Lady at the marina store not so much….

We loved Green Turtle Bay! First I must compliment the service department. We needed to have a prop straightened due to a log hit on the Mississippi. We called ahead and they put us on the schedule. When we arrived, we were pulled quickly, they put us back in the water so that we could stay on our boat, loaned us a van to take the props to the prop shop, and when we got them back next day, put them back on. The price was very reasonable. Great communication from Gayla and David. The facility, even in the off season was great. We enjoyed the two restaurants and took advantage of the Spa facilities for haircuts. The shower rooms were clean and convenient to the docks. We will definately be back! Update: November 2023 - Another great stop at Green Turtle Bay. Again, cudos to the service department for great service. Stellar facility, love the shuttle to town. The only disappointment is that the Tippsy Turtle was closed during the peak of Looper Season.

Great stay. Shower/restroom suites clean. Washer/dryers worked great. All staff was very helpful and accommodating. Well stocked ship store. Had an important letter sent. I had to sign for it when it arrived. That tells me that are very careful with packages and mail that come in for boaters. Would definitely stay here again.

Great stop on the Loop to provision, relax, get a little pampered. Was here in 2019 and again 2023. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Great marina!! We loved everything from the people, the facilities (showers, laundry), to the docks, easy to access, the courtesy car, beautiful property, Patti’s restaurant, shuttle car availability, restaurant & pubs on property!! What a terrific stay!!

Restaurant, ship store, courtesy car and cost of dockage were great. Dock condition was rickety. BUT We had our 2 60 hp outboards serviced at their Boatworks: oil/filter/impeller/lower unit lube. Hauled out 7 hrs, watched them work shy of 2.5 hrs. Billed us for 5 hr labor and had the huevos to tell is that they only billed for half of the labor they usually would. Same service at Harbor Vue Marina near Little Current Canada was half the time hauled at half the cost…. Caveat Emptor.

Looper group always welcome to this convenient and service oriented marina.

Wonderful folks. Our only issue was we were far from the transient dock and the rest of the loopers. Pier 5 was a very, very long walk to take the pup.

Marina was nice and facilities are clean. Has a courtesy van which was very helpful. Patties restaurant has a free shuttle to pick you up. If you stay here you have to go eat there.

We'll start with the good. The rented dock space was very close to sidewalk access. Did get a discount for being a BoatUS member. The bad: We called the resort to reserve two golf carts (group of 7 people). Upon arrival they said only one was written down and there were none available. We clown car'd 7 people on a golf cart the entire weekend. We went to Between the Lakes bar/grill to eat. When we came out our cart was gone and another was left there. We had to hunt for our cart. After waiting an hour at the rental office, the swapper brought us our cart. There should be unique keys for each cart. If the other person damaged our cart, I'm sure they wouldve been looking at us for money. All in all, good stay. But they do need to tweak a few things.

Everything was very clean and well furnished in our unit 401… one of our sky lights in the bathroom leaked pretty bad during the storm! Hate that for the owners! our slip rental for our boat was easy and quick! Unfortunately we didn’t get to eat at the Yacht Club restaurant due to storms and power outage. We did eat at Thirsty Turtle a few diff times. Was disappointed we couldn’t eat under one of the gazebos by the water, the staff said it was because they didn’t have enough servers to walk out there and wait on us. When your at the lake you like to eat on the water so maybe they can work on that issue. Having a golf cart was a major PLUS! We will be back and would for sure rent unit 401 again!!

Easy in/out transient slip close to bathhouse. Excellent toilet/shower rooms. Golf cart rentals to get into town if walking a mile in the heat is not your thing. Lots of space at fuel dock for fuel and pumpout. Boat yard on site for urgent repairs.

We love Green Turtle Bay and the town of Grand Rivers

We really enjoyed our time here. We spent a week. Great docks and facilities and enjoyable time spent in the town of Grand Rivers. Spa on site but book in advance. Staff a bit streched and service suffers sometimes but overall a really great stop.

What a great place \nLove being able to swim and work out finally and have a pedicure \nMy husband loved the ship store and we were able to get done work on the boat \nThirsty turtle was a nice place and great pizza. Commonwealth had fun happy hour and nice to meet up with loopers \nLove the town of grand river and patties settlement

This is an awesome marina! The facilities are clean and very accommodating. The staff is excellent and very friendly. There are two courtesy cars, a spa and golf carts for rent. We walked to town a couple of times, which is only about a mile away. Everything you need is right here. It’s a great place for a relaxing stay.

Shane, John, Robin, and the entire crew are the epitome of hospitality and flexibility. Very responsive to requests and needs. The marina itself has everything a boater might want: courtesy car, restaurants, ship store, service department at Boat Works, sparkling clean individual restroom/shower, fuel, pump out, ice… We liked it so much we are doing a u-turn at Grand Harbor and going back. A truly great marina in beautiful surroundings

While they were extremely busy and fully booked, they were very friendly and accommodating. An outstanding facility on The Cumberland River and natural stop for any Looper.

The good: Only stayed one night. Seems to have everything. Used the courtesy van for reprovisioning. Decent small grocery store nearby but liquor store next door doesn't open until 11. ATM inside marina. The bad: Poorly lit entrance to marina, easily missed. Shallower than indicated on navionics so must carefully monitor depth. Do not come in after dark without good spotlight to follow unlit markers. Did not find website to have slip number and marina layout online.

Stayed near the office, very convenient. Very friendly staff, great facilities that we used. Great to have a courtesy car to get to Walmart. Good value.

Staff was very helpful on arrival. We fueled up and then went over to our slip. Nice areas to walk and take the pups too. Big wide slips on the t dock. Would definitely come back

Great marina but they completely left us in the lurch when it came to the repairs we wanted done. We were initially told they were short-staffed. No problem. On the Wednesday we got there we were told they'd have a look at it by Friday, and then if parts were necessary they'd have to order them and that could take a week, so we would need to stay for at least that long. The first Friday came and went, no visit from them. So we waited on the boat for the entire following week. Having gotten to the next Friday and having given up on ever seeing them we booked a trip out of town without the boat. They came by at 4pm on that Friday afternoon and then phoned us asking where the keys to the boat were. Seriously? We sat on the boat for over a WEEK, were told they would call us when they were on their way over, and then an hour after we leave the boat they finally come by and want to know why we didn't leave the keys on our unattended boat? So they apologized and said they'd be there first thing Monday morning. Monday, no show. I called them, they said Tuesday. Tuesday, no show. By now it was pointless. So we spent 15 days there at the height of their busy season when they were trying to keep boats moving through and got nothing at all. And the poor harbormaster had to make an exception and let us stay longer than she was supposed to because we were promised service. She really could have used the space and we didn't want to be there. So, great marina, nice restaurant, very nice staff on the docks and in the ship store, and a service department that never does what they say they will do sums it up. Why make promises over and over again and not deliver? Who benefits from that?

Marina is nice. But don’t expect and mechanic services. They promised to have a diver to remove prop, repair prop onsite, put prop back on ,done. They would come to boat when we arrived at 4pm. We called them at 5:50 but they would come next morning b/w 8:15-8:30. We cld them at 9am. They would have to haul boat, send prop to Bradenton Fl and once back replace it. Would take 4wks!!!!😳😳😳this is an unreliable exceptional poor business Go elsewhere. We went to aqua harbor in Iuka, MI. Took a few days at a slow speed to get there but much better and honest business. Elizabeth

Our stay here was exactly what we were told to expect - excellent! Robin was very accommodating even when we had to change the date of reservation and then add another night. The courtesy vehicle was a lifesaver! Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Green Turtle Bay is always a great place to stay. They did go above and beyond to satisfy any of my concerns. Their repair facility seems to have problems with mechanics coming to work or getting qualified mechanics. I do not think this issue is unique to GTB, but I have seen it at many, many marinas. They do the best they can.

I have never visited a place where everyone actively encouraged me to join in a conversation, have a meal, or become a towny and watch the parade. Other than the parade, there is no real reason to leave the camous. This marina is a perfect home away from home for children to adults. We can’t wait to visit again in the future.

Liked the looper discount. Pet access is good. Would stay here again.

Great service at the gas dock; golf carts to take you to their restaurants, or into Grand Rivers for restaurants; nice pool available for boaters. Without a doubt, the best resort on Lake Barkley/Kentucky Lake.

Wow we love it here

Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. Dock staffers were knowledgeable, courteous and efficient. Facilities were clean and well cared for. Our 4 bedroom condo was perfect for our group. Great layout and very well supplied. We cooked most all meals and had all we needed in dishes, pans, etc. We’ve all agreed we will return.

Enjoyed our stay and the experienced dock hands. Well stocked ships store with great end of season discounts.

Friendly staff, great facilities (pools, bar, restaurant, golf carts, and more). Only reason for not a 5 star is the restroom facilities are a long walk. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice marina and resort. Lots of amenities- two pools, courtesy cars, golf carts for rent, free shuttle to town (5 minutes) , fuel, pump out, two restaurants on property, very nice shower suites. Decided to stay longer.

Friendly staff. Shuttles to Thirsty Turtle restaurant for delicious fried fish. Laundry facilities with 3 washers and dryers. Pool was refreshing on a hot day.

Love GTB, all the staff is so friendly and accommodating. Robin and Destiny were awesome helping us with fuel, pump out, fresh water, and getting tied up for the evening. We enjoyed use of the courtesy van as well. Can’t say enough about GTB!

Staff and facilities are top notch. The on site restaurant is great food with great staff in a great environment. The Owner of the resort stayed after hours and guided us in by flashlight since it was dark. Not sure he had that on his plan for a Saturday evening!

The marina was fine, but the boat works employees could not have been more rude. I had set up an appointment to have my mast stepped on Friday. When I got there they told me it wouldn't happen till Tuesday. After explaining that I was a looper the man I was talking to told me how much he hated loopers, explained that we are all broke and he let me know that we are all terrible at boat maintenance. I would not come back here.

We first came here 5 years ago when we did the Great Loop. The place and people are just as good and friendly as we remember

Everything one could ask for motoring down the river system. Once past the Kentucky Dam lock it was like we had entered a New World and Green Turtle Resort was the entry point.
