We’ve been coming here by boat for well over 20 years, and we never tire of it. I’m s still our #1 place to visit! This time of year is so very different, yet still so very special. Perfect weather and perfect mooring location (#1, a first for us)! Sad to see the season ending, but enjoying what’s left in our favorite place!
Great town marina located steps away from beautiful downtown Newburyport. The staff were all very friendly and helpful (shout out to Lydia and Maryann!), and the facilities were very nice (with free use of washers & dryers!). We will be back!
One of our favorites! The facility is top notch, and the views are just stunning. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. Marina services are fantastic (love the courtesy cars), though we did have some trouble with the washing machine (first world problem!).
This was our first time at Chicks, and it is now one of our favorite places! The marina itself is top notch (thank you Eric), and the setting could not be better. Fantastic staff made us feel at home during our stay. Thank you Colby, Tyler, Amy and Chris!
Fantastic location and staff! The only negative that I can see is the rolly nature of the location, probably due to the ferries. But, we will be back!
Great staff! We really appreciated their attentiveness and flexibility. We got a late start on the day of checkin. They preemptively called to confirm our plans and pass on our assignment. On departure, they allowed us to stay a few extra hours on the mooring to allow a better weather window for our transit. Great place!
Great marina, great town! We prefer peaceful, quiet settings, and Safe Harbor Wickford Cove hit the target perfectly. While we don’t use the bathroom facilities, these looked to be spotless and really well equipped. Great location close to town as well. Overall great experience. We’ll be back!
Wow, we just can’t say enough about Boothbay Harbor Marina! After a 3 night stay, it is now at the top of list of favorite places to stay. Kim is just incredible at making you feel at home and as if you are part of her family. The facility is small and intimate, but has everything you could need. Kim checked on us frequently, and bent over backwards to help us in any way, including shuttling us to and from the Botanical Gardens. It is no surprise at all that they were just voted the #1 marina in Maine!
Disappointed is the word that comes to mind. The facility and staff are great, but if you are looking for the quaint Maine scene, this is not the place! Our view the entire time was of two different Mega Yachts. Proximity to Old Port is a big plus, but I’ll take a small, quaint town anytime over this. Also inconsistent internet service was frustrating! Not impressed!
Great location… close to the city, but still quiet and relaxing. Staff were all great as well. Fantastic marina. We will be returning!
What a fabulous 3 days we had at Mystic Seaport Museum! From our spot next to the Amistad, we had a front row seat to all the activities at the museum. The staff at the museum were all very friendly and provided top notch service. Access to downtown Mystic and its restaurants and shops was a very easy and pleasant stroll. Plenty to do and see at the museum; the exhibits and associated staff were incredibly knowledgable and personable. If you sail, take advantage of the incredibly reasonable ($15/hr) cat boat rentals and take a cruise up the river to the highway bridge... well worth it! All in all, we highly recommend a visit here. I know we will be returning!
