Dock crew very friendly and helpful. Pretty good wind getting on the dock, they secured us nicely! Decent laundry facility, great to have multiple machines.
Privately marked channel into the harbor and actually, no lobster pots in that channel. We were moored adjacent to the channel with continuous traffic lacking understanding of the "No Wake" buoy. Got the impression the lobstermen don't appreciate the presence of private vessels. We were circled a couple of times. Only contact with marina staff was via radio. Gave good directions to our mooring, although the mooring numbers are very hard to read. Did not go ashore, so can't comment on facilities.
Gorgeous views, always an eagle or two. Facilities are rustic and quite charming. Dock crew is always friendly and helpful. Had delicious sandwiches from the walk up window. Probably won't do that again though. We expected it to be a tad pricey, did not expect an automatic 20% gratuity for a take-out and that included the self-serve beer.
Huge mistake. Paid double the going rate for a mooring in the area with the assumption we would be deep into the harbor, where the resort is. We were nearly .5 nm away. Quite a dinghy ride in the conditions when we arrived. Out in the middle with nothing to break the onslaught of lobster boat wakes circling us starting way before sunrise. Dishonest to not disclose the mooring locations in the Dockwa description or their website. On a good note, the young man who met us on our way in was quite pleasant.
Another pleasant stay. Amber is our new favorite bartender. But they are all great. Owen is always wonderful on the dock.
Loved that we recieved an email with excellent instructions on how to get to our mooring. Very long day getting there, so we did not take advantage of the included launch service. Instead we stayed on the boat and enjoyed the scenery.
Enjoyed our stay. Short walk to many historic sites and restaurants. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice and very clean facilities. Plan to be back next year.
