We've stayed at BBM many times over the years, and it ranks among the top along with a handful of other marinas on the Chesapeake. The floating ipe docks provide easy docking, the facility is well-protected from any waves and provides beautiful sunsets. Bathroom/shower facilities are clean and cool. Several eating options on the premises including Knoxies table at the hotel. The only issue we had on this visit was our slip location (I dock). We were placed on a dock that was far from the marina facilities. The pool was about a 10 min walk (in 95+ weather), the bathhouse, though closer, was not especially convenient, and the wifi signal was poor. We noted plenty of open slips throughout the marina, including the one we stayed at during a visit 2 weeks prior to this one. I'm not quite sure what went into the decision-making process on this visit, but next time when we get our slip assignment I will be certain to request dockage on a pier between A-G.
We've stayed at HHS many times including earlier this year. As always the facility is wonderful, beautifically landscaped, well-kept up. Bathhouses are clean, docks in excellent condition. The new (to us) dockmaster Felipe did an excellent job getting our boat docked, and was very friendly and helpful. The only reason for the four-star rating (vs five) was that hte pool was closed combined with the oppressive (95+) heat. I understand the difficult in retaining lifegards and other staff after school starts back up, but other marina pools we visit permit "swim at your own risk" operation. I wish this one would have as well. Other than that modest quibble, a very nice stay overall.
It's been around 10 years since we last visited Zahnisers, prior to its acquisition by Safe Harbor. We always enjoyed visiting before, and the upgrades since the acquisition are very nice. The pier we docked on was a floating dock with ipe planking. The bathhouse is updated and clean. The new Italian restaurant looked good but unfortunately was closed on the days we visited. The pool seemed pretty much the same as last time we visited, and was much appreciated during the extremely hot (95F +) days. I wouldn't hesitate to visit again on our next sailing adventure.
As is the norm for our visits to Osprey Point marina over the last 10 years, this most recent stay was excellent. Facilities are top notch and well-maintained, staff is very helpful and friendly, and the unusually comfortable summer weather this weekend (which I don't think Osprey Point had anything to do with:)) made for a great visit. It's one of our golden retriever's favorite marinas!
We had a nice stay at Tolchester marina for two nights; live bands both nights with a local favorite, Kanye Twitty, the second night. Floating docks all new within the last couple of years; dock hands are all very helpful; the only downside is that the Channel restaurant is not open for dinner do to an inability to find help; another unfortunate casualty of the pandemic;
Great stay at Haven Harbour Marina; it's been a few years since we've had a chance to make it back, but all is as good as we remembered; the staff were very helpful in getting the boat docked; facilities are kept in excellent condition and the slipholders were all very friendly and helpful; Passages Bar/Grill has transformed from a literal guy with a grill many years ago into a really great eatery with a large menu; definitely will be back sooner next time
We try to make at least one trip to HHN each sailing season. This is one of our favorite marina destinations in the mid-bay area and is a good stopping point on our way to Solomons. The HHN facility is vast and very well-kept. Most things you could need are on-site including dining, a West Marine, a dog park, two lounges, vending machines, ice, pool, etc.. They've done a great job at merging a marina facility with the natural surrounds. It's a favorite stop for our Golden Retriever.
