No staff met me at my slip to assist. After calling to indicate my power cord could not reach from my assigned spot, i was told someone would be right over. After too much time had passed, i hooked up to another slips electrical outlet. I called for the security code for the gate, someone told me they would be right over with a greeting package and codes. No one came. So at 5:00, i called, before i was locked in, luckily someone gave me the code. Lastly, dockwa quoted 2.13 per foot. But when i pushed get reserved, there was$about $25 extra in charges beside tax and electric.
I stayed there last summer. The staff was wonderful, accommodating and helpful. Port Jeff is a fabulous town to stroll through!
Seymour’s Boat yard has provided me with a home away from home. From their properly maintained moorings, to their amazing launch Captains who monitor Channel 68. They will pick you up either from a seasonal or daily rental mooring to their dock, literally, steps away from the quaint Village of Northport. In town there are numerous restaurants, the best bakery and shops. Need fuel? They provide both diesel and gas. Have a pup? They are adjacent to one of the nicest dog friendly parks on Long Island. All that, plus one of the most beautiful Harbors on the North Shore of Long Island.
