This was my first visit since the new ownership and I was very pleased. The dock staff is very well trained & helpful and everything about my reservation was organized.
Very nice. Harbormaster staff is very professional and easy to communicate via VHF or Dockwa message system. Our only issue with this harbor is the extremely limited space for dinghy tie ups. Both Menemsha, Oak Bluffs and Cuttyhunk have far more space and much smaller harbors.
Always a great stop. We had 3 boats rafted on an inside mooring. Harbormaster staff is always helpful and professional. Great seafood options from two local markets too. Awesome sunsets!
Always a nice stop for us. Staff is helpful - launch operators are very professional. It would be helpful if there was a designated area for a longer dinghy tie-up just in case we came back after the launch stopped operation. We will be back -
Very professional staff. The Dockmaster was working quickly in a busy environment .. she made sure all the boats were treated with respect. I don't do dockspace often, but this place would be high on my list for another Newport visit.

My stay was better than I thought it would be. Could not get power at my location and needed to run the engine several times to charge batteries. Dock hands could be better trained - they are dealing with expensive boats. Rest rooms & showers were much better maintained than what I remember in the past.
This is a great place as long as you don't mind rafting. The staff is very experienced and respectful of the needs of the boaters at their facility. We had a race from Newport to Block Island - we had about 7 boats arrive mid-afternoon on Saturday and Paines had us tied up within an hour.
