This was always a great anchorage, but I had a serious issue a few years ago. A pipe laying barge apparently left a large, metal sewage pipe, about five feet long, on the bottom. My anchor got tangled up in it with a very bad result. I hope the area has now been cleared of such debris. Be alert to this possible danger.
