Nice little marina my only complaint was bathrooms were not clean

Great marina, close enough to town for easy walk, far enough to be very quiet. Amenities great. Dockmaster very responsive to messages. Slips are only stern to and very tight to maneuver for a sailboat without easy stern access. Otherwise, great spot.

As usual our stay was very nice... we dined at the restaurant and used the pool... The mens showers could use some work and the hand dryers are old and not efficient. But, the price is right and upon checking in to our slip the dock hands were very helpful. Also because my wife has a bit of an issue walking due to a broken foot bone I asked Scott for a slip close to the ramp and he acomadated me. That was very nice of . We will certainly be returning soon.

Always an enjoyable time spent here. I wish they had some one on staff the morning we left I definitely could have used another bag of their amazing ice .Now I had to buy a bag of old ice at the CVS

We were place in a non floater slip that I could not get off. Ladder was not on the side I could use due to outboard and placement of swim platform. They readily moved us to a floater. Staff was helpful.

Beautiful Quiet facility located on the outskirts of town. Pool is a welcome plus on warm days.

We have been coming to Greenport for the past 4 years. Usually stay at safe harbor but they were full. we tried Townsand and were pleasantly surprised. Nice docks and dock crew. The pool is nice. Hotel is showing its age, laundry, about 1/2 were out of order, this space should be renovated. It’s half the cost of safe harbor so a good deal, will probably stay again next year

So… Pros: dockhands were sweet and helpful, awesome location, walking distance to downtown restaurants and shops and entertainment, walking distance to Kontakosta winery, nice pool with a cute snack bar and bar, and the hotel restaurant was quaint. Lots of pros!!! But… Cons: the actual dock was rotted and the wood was so soft in places that you thought you’d fall through so you needed to walk on the grass, the bathrooms and showers were out of order the last day we were there leaving no additional option, the grounds weren’t as maintained as they should be, and there was an absence of enough staffing (which is prob why the maintenance isn’t what I expected).

Stayed at Townsend for our 37th 4th of July by boat. We feel at home there. Scott and crew are the best and the food at the restaurant is top shelf. Looking forward to 4th of July 2025!

Great as usual. Always enjoy Townsend Marina. Classic throwback which is what we love. Thankfully not Bougie with bougie prices. Don’t change anything!

The combination of the pool the heat and the nice shade around the grounds makes for a very comfortable stay. Dock guys very helpful and the ice is a bargain based on what they give you. Very good place to tie up..

We typically stay at one of the Safe Harbor marinas. As they couldn’t fit us we decided to try Townsend. We were very impressed with this marina. The location is great as it is within walking distance to downtown Greenport. They offer a pool and a snack bar which also serves drinks. In addition, there is a restaurant/bar in the Inn that offers breakfast and dinner on certain days. On certain Tuesdays in the summer, they have a live band playing out by the pool in the evening, as well as a food truck. The dockhands were very helpful and guest laundry facilities are available. We will definitely be staying again when we are in Greenport.

First time staying at Townsend Manor Inn & Marina. We had a wonderful time. The staff and patrons were all so friendly. We used the pool, hotel bar, and pool bar and they were all great. We will be coming back next year and our family who came to visit want to book into the hotel so they may stay longer too.

Just wanted to thank Scott again for being so accommodating. At the last minute we asked if we could change our arrival to a day earlier, due to weather. Scott was able to fit us in. Also the dock crew was very courteous and helpful. We ate at the restaurant two evenings and Brandy took great care of us. Plus the food was excellent! The Captain and crew, of the 'Penalty Box', are looking forward to returning next year! Thank you again.

We had our annual boat trip July 4th week and one of our favorite places is the Townsend Marina as one of the stops and usually the last leg of the trip. Scott who is the manager is always accommodating and the location is walking distance into town which provides great options for dinner at one of the many restaurants. Our preference is to just enjoy the quiet time on the lawn area by the dock with good friends or spend time by the pool. It is a great destination for making memories and is very reasonably priced.

I've been going to Townsend for probably the last 20 years. It's such a great location but the place is so in need of a facelift. The sinkhole on the corner by the boardwalk by the boats is a severe liability issue and has been there for probably the last ten years. Hose bib on spigot was frozen on and could not be removed and that too has been there for numerous years. Bathrooms are dirty, toilet has been leaking for years with black mold behind the toilet. Shower doors are painted plywood. Bathroom door handle was falling off and after reporting it earlier in the day to the dockhands and nothing being done about it, I got a screwdriver off my own boat and tightened it that night. It's a shame that it's such a lovely location but is run-down and in disrepair.

Wonderful stay. Tricky slip on fixed dock. Boat was moved and retied while we were away and 1 line was tight on low tide and the other on high tide.

The location is convenient; the marina is quiet and cozy, and the staff is supportive. The laundry and shower facilities are a bit spartan, but "well, nobody's perfect!" as we remember.

The place is in need of some freshening up. The rest rooms for the boaters need paint. The door knob came off in my hand. It is well protected and a short walk to town.

So this is tough to judge because it may not be for everyone but peaceful and has a nice pool. During the week this time of year there is no one at the dock to help you which we didnt carel 10 minute walk to downtown which is nice.Very quiet and sheltered.Bathrooms are quite ancient but good hot water.I would stay here again but it may not be for anyone who wants pampering,but if you want peace and quiet the grounds are great

A wonderful experience. The people were exceptional. The restaurant on the property had delicious food, pool area beautiful and well kept. We would highly recommend people to try this place out. We will for sure go back again.

This place is great! We had a three night transient slip at the marina and enjoyed all of the facilities during our visit. Low key atmosphere, courteous and friendly staff, and a great place for families. Looking forward to returning next summer!

A little precarious getting in but worth the effort. Those dock boys know what they are doing! The Townsend overall is a great place to chill after a long boat ride. Spent some time at the pool, then walked into town. Everything was convenient. Will definitely go back.

Nice time. We stayed for 2 days on our boat. The slip was super tight but we made it in. Deck hands are fantastic. Very quaint, reminded us of an old upstate NY resort. Pool was clean, nice snack bar. Best part is, it’s in walking distance to town. So easy!! Could the marina be updated…. Yes, but it was fine and had everything you would need as a boater. Good time, great location and great staff. I will be back.

Hotel workers were not friendly or helpful at all. The two dock boys were excellent and very accommodating

Dock hands were all over the boat setting up our lines, water,electric. Only had a short stay but on Tuesday evening a large BBQ truck pulled onto the premise and a guy with guitar was playing music, and he played well. Pool has a little bar within its area for a drink while while in that area, and loved being close to town. The “regulars all were friendly, really made for a pleasant stay.

Our favorite spot in Greenport. It's a quick walk to town and a nice quiet spot to stay with a pool for the kids.

Nice cozy place, we always stop here on our way to points farther east. Clean pool is always fun. The staff is accommodating and even moved some boats around to make sure we were in a comfortable slip. A quick walk to town or just stay there and float all day in the pool. Facilities are decent and the showers always had hot water. Thanks guys!

Unique solution for cruising in a small boat or center console so I can go fishing at different locations, in this case Montauk. Docked my boat at Townsends and stayed in one of their rooms just steps from where my boat was docked. The docks are newly redone, although slip 31 where I was really just a tie up that blocked in another boat which is all I needed. The hotel is adequate but comfortable with a pool and 15 minute walk to downtown Greenport.

As always we had a great time at Townsend Manor Marina. A childhood favorite of mine quickly became my children's favorite. The updates over the years were money well spent and I hope to continue coming back in years to come.

Although the location is good and the marina is very nicely protected , the grounds are unkept , there is dirt and weeds where there should be grass . They should invest in a sprinkler system / landscaper to spruce up the place . It has so much potential.

The entire trip was a blast. The pool was great and the kids pool was perfect for our one year old. Everyone from the staff at the poolside bar to the deck hands were kind, helpful and so so nice

One of our favorite marinas while cruising the North and South forks. Scott and his crew always take good care of us upon arrival and during our stay. We are also fans of his Inn with good food and drinks.

Beautiful little marina at a historic manor with a lovely bar.

Aside from the convenience of being able to walk into town, this marina is just 'ok' for the price. The bathrooms and showers are so old, I wouldn't use the showers! The pool was not cleaned once during the entire week we were there. The on-site restaurant was closed (Labor Day weekend)! We had friends stay in one of the Manor House rooms and it was damp with a mold-covered a/c unit. Oh, and the WiFi was awful. We've stayed at Stirling in the past. LOVED it! But, no easy way into town. What to do, what to do? Sorry, I really wanted to love it here.

Good stay but could use some work on the cable and the bathroom is getting dated.

Marina is protected and no worries of winds and strong waves. can be tricky docking for bigger boats so bring your best game. The WiFi is weak and the non floating docks are weatherworn and in need of updating. Staff is pleasant and responsive to request. Will stay here again in the future.

I selfishly hesitate to give a 5 star review, because this diamond in the rough will get busier and we'll have trouble getting a slip! The entire floating dock and pilings have been replaced since our last visit and the entire place looks great! The dock hands were very helpful and attentive. We love visiting this cozy marina!

Great safe and convenient dockage ... easy 1/2 mile walk to downtown and waterside area. The slip pilings are a bit tight to align into, but with the little current nor wind this far inside the harbor, a slow approach makes it OK to enter safely.

We arrived at 3:30 PM. The marina was deserted and no one answered our Channel 9 hail. We contacted the attached hotel and were informed that the staff had left. We asked the hotel clerk what slip we were assigned. She didn’t know but she would call us back. We motored around the area for an hour waiting to hear from her. After an hour, we called her back and were informed that we could take any empty slip. It is míos Sept 10 and have not seen anyone at the marina who cares if we’ve arrived safely or had any questions.

We have been keeping our whaler at Townsend for five years now. All the amenities you would need & the owner is great! He helps out with everything! Plus the new docks & dock house looks great. Highly recommend!!

The dock master does not exist. The owner is a inhospitable person whose anxious about his business and treats customers like he’s doing them a favor. My new boat has a 14 ft. 7” beam and requires a slip that is appropriate to its size. He’s by his actions anti-sailboat. Windage takes boats too and fro. If you don’t have bow and rear thrusters your in trouble with any wind. The dock staff work yesterdays bankers hours. So, they are not available at 7 AM when I came to the dock the second time to get in. Scott the owner is an awful manager and leader. He’s trying to keep himself afloat by taking on three or four jobs himself. And in this time it’s almost understandable but he’s not honest with himself or his customers. He did not come to the phone or even call me back the day before I arrived when I was going to explain my situation with the large beam of my new boat. I asked for the dockmaster. He’s the dockmaster too as well as the restaurant manager and who knows what else. I have empathy for anyone who is trying just to survive this awful time. All they have to do is apologize and to try to make things right. But like a child who is confronted with his mistakes he’s not mature enough to admit his failings and to ask for and to provide an alternative to a bad situation and mistakes he’s made. Dockwa must provide oversight and testing of their vendors many are good some exceed expectations. But in this case your lucky if you get poor service.

Great location. Private setting. 8 minute walk to town. Marina has pool. Laundry room needs to be upgraded to modern washing and drying machines. Rest rooms are average. Showers are average but clean. Rest rooms and showers need updating. Hand dryers in men’s room do not blow air forcefully. Need a propane grill on the grounds. Fortunately we have our own but charcoal grills are not useful as the only means to grill.

Townsend Manor Inn & Marina is truly the goto marina in Greenport. The entire floating dock has been replaced and working fine. The pool and concession stand was open and food and drinks were good. The dock staff is always available to assist when needed.

We always enjoy this marina. We love it's location that's near enough to town so we can walk; A helpful dock master and great crew; a very nice pool area with snack bar & cocktails.

On the positive side, Townsend Marina is close to town which makes it a great location. The marina is small, docking is a little bit tight. But my big negative is that I visited in August of 2020 and they are taking zero precautions for Covid-19. I had been to 5 different marinas over the course of about 10 days in Long Island Sound and this was the only place where the dock hands were not wearing masks, where there was no sanitizer publicly available, no rules about restricting access or social distancing at the pool. No signs about wearing masks when on the docks near others. Needless to stay I would not go here again.

Had a good stay. Unfortunately, the marina didn’t tell us we were going to be in a corner against the bulkhead, and that they rented out the Pool Bar, which was directly behind our boat, for a private party that went to 2:00 am with drunken screaming people. Other than that it was very nice.

We enjoyed the marina very much! A protected location, the dock staff was helpful. Old school marina and we fully enjoyed it! Don't go to the restaurant. That was not a good experience at all. But, we'd still go back. The rest was superb.

The place is comfortable, albeit slightly run down, but those of us that come here often know what to expect.

Townsend Manor Inn and Marina is a great destination. Our slip backed up to a grassy area very close to the pool. The dock boys were very helpful competent. The pool temp was perfect and has a bar inside the fenced area! It is an easy walk or bike ride to the commercial district in Greenport. My only complaint is that the buildings on the grounds are in real need of exterior maintenance. We have not been able to stay at TMM for years and we will try to get back there soon.

Very friendly atmosphere! Fred and Matt greetest us very quickly as we pulled in to dock! Quiet and calm area! Felt safe and appreciate the cleanliness! Loved it! Will be back!

It’s a four because it’s a very reasonable price. Place needs a little TLC and some finger piers. I don’t think during the season I could have docked and been able to get on/off the boat. Luckily they said put it anywhere you see an opening and I found maybe the only slip with a finger pier. Nice folks, okay restaurant and pub and an easy walk to town.

This place far exceeded my expectations. Great friendly staff and the grounds were awesome. We will definitely come back many more times.
