Welcoming both seasonal and visiting boaters, the marina offers expanded dockage and moorings, fuel, water and electrical service, pump-out facilities, a Captains’ Lounge and modern amenities to make your stay comfortable and convenient.

With its fog-free harbour, deep-water access and the warm waters of the Northumberland Strait, Pictou is an ideal home port or stopover for boaters exploring Nova Scotia’s beautiful coastline.

More than just a place to dock, Market Wharf Marina puts you steps away from everything this charming seaside town has to offer. Enjoy waterfront dining, live entertainment, shops, pubs, museums and local attractions. Stroll the scenic Jitney Trail, cast a line for mackerel from Market Wharf, or simply relax and take in the harbour views.

Market Wharf Marina is located on the downtown Pictou waterfront, within the sheltered waters of Pictou Harbour on Nova Scotia's Northumberland Strait. Enter Pictou Harbour via the marked navigation channel, following the range lights and channel buoys. Be mindful of tidal currents, particularly through the harbour entrance. Once inside the harbour, proceed toward the downtown waterfront and the Ship Hector, a prominent landmark adjacent to the marina. Contact Market Wharf Marina on VHF Channel 16 before arrival. Boaters will be directed to switch to Channel 68 for berth assignments and docking assistance.

Hector Quay Visitors Marina - Michael M.Aug 03, 2012

This is right in Pictou close to museums, the Hector tall ship and good restaurants. Lots of empty slips. Water and electricity (10amp but a little flaky) Toliets, showers, ice and laundry. Marine and auto parts store nearby. Gas nearby (9 to 9) Across the road Thai has great food (young waiters may confuse order though) Mrs Macdonalds one street up is great fine dining. Several others general restaurants. Lots of live music and "crafty" things to see and do.
