Another great Safe Harbor Marina! Excellent communication, facilities and dock. Denise was amazing in how organized, friendly and knowledgeable she was regarding anything we asked. The captain's lounge, pool and showers were really incredible - one of the nicest so far on our loop adventure. I'd highly recommend this marina
Excellent marina and staff. Facilities are top of the line. Haul out, repairs, and parts available. Easy walk to town.
This is a top-notch Marina! All of the amenities were beautiful. Clean and wonderful showers, great laundry room, amazing clubhouse, and pool. The staff was so kind and wonderful.
What a great marina! The staff is very welcoming and helpful; the marina is large, clean, well maintained and easy to access. The pool area and restrooms are excellent! They even had a food truck the day we checked in which is really nice as there is no restaurant on site. Downtown is a 1-1.5 mile super easy walk or bike ride away. We really enjoyed our stay!
Staff is great. Denise is the best!
A very large and well maintained marina. The transient dock space is on the inner pier with plenty of power outlets for multiple boats. The boaters lounge is a short walk with a pool, multiple separate large restrooms with showers, a workout room, laundry room, and several large areas to relax under cover. On Saturday morning they offer a free continental breakfast for boaters. The marina is kind of isolated, meaning the closest restaurant is about a ten minute walk but then there are several places to shop including a small West Marine.
Reservation was not responded to within 5 hours. Several calls the following day were required. And parking for transient boaters was not allowed in the slip spots. We had to park about a quarter mile from the slip.
Great staff. Helped before we arrived, helped with docking, and followed up on our visit.
Great staff and terrific people in this marina. This is what boating is all about. Next year the new facility will be completed which will put a cherry on top for this place.
Great Marina! The people are super helpful and the service is great. Awesome restroom facilities. Everything you need at one place.
Awesome service - super nice people & clean clean bathrooms.
We are former tenants of Grand Isle, and we enjoyed coming back, if only for a night. We were impressed with the upgrades to the facilities since we left, but were disappointed in the lack of WiFi connectivity. Otherwise, great stay.
Docks, bathrooms, and showers were great. Additionally, it was awesome that they were doing a customer appreciation happy hour and breakfast. The only reason I removed a star was the lack of quick WIFI and Dockwa was not updated to reflect the pool being under construction.
Nice Marina. Friendly and professional staff. Great pool.
Been winter storing here at Grand Isle since 2007. This says a great deal about the level of service they've provide us considering our home port is 90 miles away. I just can't say enough about the staff here, from the General Manager, Pete, the office staff, service department crew, to the in-and-out staff, all go above and beyond expectations. Crazy but this was our first time as a transient here and our stay was wonderful. This marina is up river a bit which provides great protection when the lake gets rough, not so if you're in the Grand Haven municipal. You can tender into town within minutes via a back canal to see nightly light/water shows, restaurants or as in our case the Coast Guard Festival. You can also walk or tender over to Spring Lake which is a cozy little town with shops and restaurants.
Had a nice stay. Everything was clean, members were all friendly, the amenities were great. We will deffently be back.
Staff was very helpful. We enjoyed our stay 7/30 - 8/01/2020. Bathrooms and showers were very clean and well kept. Marine Service team was very helpful when we experienced some unexpected power problems. Rated 4 out of 5 stars only because high water levels are showing damage to facility (other marinas are dealing with similar issues) and because no marina staff response to radio calls on VHF 9. Fuel Dock staff was very helpful with checking in. Overall, we had a great time and will definitely return in the future.
Long time Member. 2020 the worst service ever. Condo side is well groomed. Rental Marina side Grounds are not mowed, garbage bins piled up in our section. Ghetto. Mid level employees blaming Corporate Office for all complaints, stating they are hamstrung to do anything about it. New mechanic incapable of giving repair timelines. Our part of the parking lot, consistently flooding beyond tolerance and convenience. It's worth giving up and spending my money elsewhere, if this is not remedied.
People were very courteous and the facilities were nice!
Excellent service. Clean and newly renovated bathrooms with showers. When out boat wouldn’t start in the morning, service came out right away and resolved our issue in 10 min and was very friendly!
The staff was always pleasant snd helpful ! Very nice pool and especially clean bathrooms!
Pro's: Beautiful marina with a swimming pool, password/card key gate, good service department, individual parking spots, lawn in front of slip, cable tv Con's: POOR MANAGEMENT. Swimming pool doesn't open when it's supposed to as written in contract and closes too early. The management is not customer service centered and it SHOWS. During the week the hot tub isn't heated, low WiFi signal (nonexistent!), restaurant it's closed, vending machine doesn't work, neighborhood riff raff invades pool and security allows this, security is present but weak, there is only one marina social event per year. Outdated and dysfunctioning laundry facilities. Over the course of 15 years, there is a steady decline because of poor inept management. Many boaters have left because of this, especially lately.
