Many new facilities at East 55th Street Marina are open to the public. Included are a 1,200-foot fishing platform and a Valvtect Marine Certified fuel dock. Our 352 seasonal wet slips are accessible only by secure gated entry. Cleveland Metroparks has been operating the East 55th Street Marina since 2013. We monitor VHF Channel 7Please be sure to upload insurance and registration documents to your Dockwa profile prior to requesting a transient dock**
not very good, the marina has nothing to offer and at once they increased the dockage by $300 without any warning and the winter storage by $200, a total increase of $500, that is not good and a lot of boaters will not come back
Bathrooms down a lot fish cleaning stations down a lot
Bar, fuel dock and restaurant hours were terrible. Closed on peak hours on some holidays and closed too soon at the end of the season
Great location great gas docks. Restaurant food went downhill I don’t eat thee anymore. Was very good before the pandemic
Secure, friendly and well protected from weather
I am a season slip holder. The dock was very nice. Only problem is the two posts are loose and should be fixed with new hardware. Looking forward to next season!
The electrical box kept kicking off and had to be checked often. Many dock boards needed replacing. The manager and staff were all pleasant to speak to and work with at all times.
I dislike dealing with a company not involved at a local level. We have up to Oct.16 2024 for the rental money I paid, and you are asking for 2025 rental money now. our rental agreement starts at Jan 26.2025. My boat is out of the water at E55 st marina and you want me to pay, I will pay for Apr 2025 to Oct. 2025
Everyone at this Marina looked out for boaters and visitors during an extremely busy Air Show Weekend. Regardless of the weather not being perfect, the Staff stayed positive and always said hello and asked how your day was going. All facilities and grounds were clean. Dock spaces were clearly numbered so you know where to dock. I stayed 2 days longer than my scheduled stay due to inclement weather and the staff stating that they are a "Safe Harbor". Wonderful experience, I will be back again.
Your staff at the Marina was excellent, very nice people and very helpful.
Staff outstanding Extended every courtesy Dockwa was slow and required marina to override the pending reservation
Great experience. Staff was very helpful. Great marina!
Super friendly staff and mariners. Docks are a little run down but certainly do-able. Didn't check out other facilities. Park-like setting with good dog walking, charcoal grills and picnic tables. Easy bike ride into town.
Dock hands did a great job helping us tie up in 22kt wind. Nice place to stay in Cleveland
We love this marina and are thrilled to be there. Really nice staff and other boaters. We've been here for two years and are happy to renew.
The price increase from the year before was extremely high and we could never get in the gate because the code was always being changed and then we couldn't reach anyone in the off season and it took forever to get the code to get into the parking lot!
Very stand offish staff. I left this year after 8 years there. Dock deck boards were never fixed etx.
Everything was great for most of the season. My boat got hit by another (it happens) and I have been trying to get in contact with the office by sending emails and voicemails but I haven't been able to hear back and get the contact info for the boat that hit mine.
Upkeep on the shower and restroom facilities would be nice along with 110 power outlets on my dock, other docks have it
Purchasing doc space used to be easy but for a senior citizen it is very difficult and frustrating. The website is not very user friendly and there are several issues that need to be identified
First time user, easy access, clean, no complaints
My stay for the fall was excellent. I highly recommend East 55th Marina. The staff was very professional, kind, and courteous.
Great people great dock..the gate being broke really sucked
Great service here very well kept. Never any issues here. All the clientele are friendly as well
Very nice and clean. A big PLUS is that the restrooms were kept open, clean and heated. THANKS TO ALL WHO WORK THERE.
Overall decent Marina. Clean and well maintained. Prices are high for outside Winter Storage and ending the season on Oct 15, without additional charges, are negatives.
This year was my first at 55th Street and I was very pleased. The staff were very helpful and responsive, the docks and facilities are clean and well maintained, and the restaurant was great. I found all of my fellow dock mates friendly and everybody was always ready to lend a hand docking and keeping an eye on things. I look forward to returning next year. Gary Fitzmartin A-9
This was my 8th year at 55th marina. Always clean and kept in good shape. Only negative is there is no ramp. Have to go to 72 Street to put to puy boat in and out of the water. There is plenty of room in the marina to build a ramp for members.
AS ALWAYS staff is wonderful and helpful. dock holders have became good friends over the years . thanks for a great summer RON
Lack of restaurant hours lack of gas stock hours. Maintenance to Dock not so well popping fuses with no response. Prices are increasing with no explanation when services are going down.
Excellent. Staff is outstanding. Facilities great. Super location. August and Nick keep things rolling. First Class !
Good location, clean bathroom. Excellent service from staff.
marinas amenities are lacking, old, need updated. the playground and fire pit were removed and not replaced with anything. the only nice thing about the marina is the picnic pavilion. gate is always broken, serious security issue.
I wish they would improve our facilities. Other area marinas have pools and much better bathrooms
F dock is in terrible shape and needs replaced. Restaurant hours are too short and the gas dock hours are too short as well.
It's a nice, friendly, clean place to be and relaxing.
Location was great. Dock A was in a run down condition, loose and rotting wood. All the picnic tables and grills were at C dock and beyond. More importantly the security gate has been stuck open since Labor Day. Our summer there was great due to location, availability and friendly people. The ground keeping and cleanliness of the bathrooms was beyond expectations considering the large number of people using them. Adding some form of play ground for the kids would be beneficial.
Everyone was very helpful and professional. Especially Kim, Nick, and Carl
I love how they keep everything clean and maintained. See you next year. 😊 I was worried about security this year. A lot of people in the marina that did not belong.
The exit gate was broke in the open position which means the marina was not secure. Also, the bathrooms do not have a code on them which made the women in our group a little uneasy.
Nice place to spend a night. A bit dissapointed as the on site restaurant closed for the season the night we spent there (9/5/2023).
Marina not secure. Great deck hands
Nice marina for an overnight. Facilities are very basic. Nice bar with good food on the premises.
Our stay was wonderful. Can't remember the gas tenants names but they both were awesome! Great people very well protected.
Very friendly and helpful staff. The facilities were great.
Nice clean marina, I stayed to fish the fall Walleye tournaments. It would be nice if the fish cleaning station was kept open as long as the bathrooms. All in all, I will be back next year.
quick easy application and contract process. nice facility. perfect fishermen amenities.
Multiple Docks needed repairs all season. The change to the new gate has become a pain as lots of time phones are left in vessel or vehicle. Even if you paid for extra passes before you have to pay for new ones with the new phone pass. Now as the renewal is here there is a unannounced price increase. Our own live music was taken away. The fish cleaning station is sub par. The location is the only benefit. The fuel dock hours change regularly and if you don't follow the emails you will be shocked when they change. A new kayak ramp was installed which is now letting extra traffic in the marina and makes it hard for boaters to motor around. Also the marina installed a transient dock that had a boat parked for the entire year. The price continues to rise and the benefits almost seem to decrease.
I’ve been docking my boat at E.55th for over 18 years and have never been so disappointed with the marina as I am now. Since the parks have taken over, things have changed for the worse -To start, the gas docks are never open (along with the restaurant/bar) and the prices are twice that of other surrounding marinas. The rules and regulations have also changed for the worse - we are no longer allowed to have grills by the picnic tables like before and sitting next to the bathrooms while eating/cooking, is not exactly the most appetizing, or sanitary for that matter. Another thing is the bar/restaurant really doesn’t cater to those in the marina but rather the public - there used to be bands and great food and now it’s a last resort when hungry, due to prices and the public being treated better than those that pay fees to E.55th. Finally, this used to be a fun and relaxing place to dock and now it has become the exact opposite of that - I know people who have docked here as long as I have and we are all unhappy with the direction the parks have taken it. We want to be heard instead of being told this is the new norm, we were here before the parks and want elements of the old marina back. Please listen to your dock renters, we are what funds the marina and we want a say.
East 55th marina has great docks at a reasonable price. The fellow boaters are all very friendly. August and Nick and the rest of the staff do a fine job. My family all feel safe and have a great time when there. My only concern is we keep hearing rumors someone in the administration wants to reconfigure the parking lot divorce it from the boats and docks and make it open to the public. We as boaters have trucks and trailers and equipment in our vehicles that would be vulnerable to theft and to be honest security is pretty lax as is. It would also jeopardize our boats and the expensive fishing and electronic gear. As I previously mentioned security is lax already. I routinely see 2 or 3 cars going thru the gate when 1 person uses their pass. It would not be a stretch of the imagination for people to jump over a fence to access the boats. Also I sleep on my boat at night at times and would be very concerned with my physical safety. I hope this is just a terrible rumor going around and not truth. This brings to mind a few years ago City of Cleveland hired a man named Wasserman to redevelop the Lake front his bright ideas would have ruined Cleveland. Luckily Cleveland realized this and got rid of him but had to pay him handsomely.Do not ruin east 55th marina it is one of the few gems we have on the Lake front. My family is already looking toward next season. If I could make one suggestion it would be nice to have 1 small boat ramp for the dock holders INSIDE the marina to launch small watercraft such as canoes, small boats, jet skis, etc. and not have to cross the open water as from 72nd st. ramp or Edgewater. Regards Bill Jatzek dock D-12
The marina is great and services good. They nickel and dime you by charging $25 a day after October 15th even though all the docks are not needed. No appreciation for other people's schedules or all the park levies we pay. Luckily the issue is back on the ballot. Won't forget their greediness on future levi votes.
I have been there for 11 Years, the gate was a mess to get it to work. The restaurant was the worst it has ever been food was bad, bait shop no bait. Asked for at least 5 boards to be fixed on my dock, they put in 1, 12 inch piece. Communication terrible. Dock people are discussing moving to other Marina's.
I’ve enjoyed my stay. Only problem was that the management overreacted to a few boaters by putting in rules aimed at them, including eliminating the fire pit. I also believe the metropark is being cheap by eliminating the golden buckeye discount for seniors
For the most part it was good. Are access card didn't work when we tried to return to the marina at midnight. Thank god someone was leaving so we could get in. All of the members there are awsum friendly as well as the staff. We WILL be returning next year.
Stayed overnight 28 June 2022. Staff was pleasant and accommodating at the fuel dock. Diesel price paid $7.25/gallon. The slip numbers are difficult to see from the fairway. Restaurant is not open Tuesday or Wednesday.
Very friendly staff, I was very happy to get a last minute spot for the week. The facilities are very nice and the keep the grounds very well kept. I will 100% stay here again. The only thing that sucks is the lake front airport is close by and my boat was covered in little black specks, from I assume the planes flying over head. Hopefully this airport closes, like is rumored with the lake front development plans, that would make this spot even better.
August and the whole crew at 55th are top notch to work with.
