Marina has stunning setting and nice facility. Owner and staff were great.
Great staff willing to go the extra mile to ensure your stay is great!
Simple to get to. Marina folks were great. It’s a beautiful spot to catch an unobstructed sunset view and lots of stars at night. Very quiet other than the osprey and heron squawking. 😀 There’s a pool and lots of ground for the pooch. You can watch the boats go by without disturbing wave action. Nice store and overall grounds. Definitely worth another trip. Highly recommend.
On our charter of a Beneteau 41, June 2023, we were anchored in Langford Creek. We needed to pump out the holding tanks, add water, etc. Gale warnings, heavy wind and rain. We elected to go to nearby Lankford Bay Marina. The access was easy on the outside of the docks (not way down a narrow alley as in many other marinas). The staff was especially helpful docking and undocking in difficult conditions. Our whole experience with Lankford Bay Marina was reassuring and supportive. It was very much appreciated. I highly recommend Lankford Bay Marina for boating services
Nice marina, lovely facilities. Friendly people. Great pavilion for our sailing group’s crab feast.
Lovely marina. Great service from the moment I booked. Staff were great, everything is clean and friendly. Oh and best chandlery on the marina store!
I have stopped at the Marina a number of times this summer and Mike is on top of running the Marina. He has a can-do attitude and is very pleasant to deal with. I will be winterizing my boat at the Marina and will have Mike complete my list of repairs and maintenance.
Marina is under new management as of 7/21. Already, the changes and improvements are obvious. There are 5 full-time employees and the new owner, Mike Sipala, is on the property 7 days a week makinng sure things run smoothly. The pool is clean and really nicely situated with a view of the river, the bathrooms are airconditioned and clean, and staff are making needed repairs to the aging docks. The fuel dock is open as is the marine store. We are having work done to the boat and the staff are attentive and experienced. So far we are very pleased with the work and the speed with which it's being done. If you're hesitating to stay here, I'd recommend giving this lovely marina a second chance!
We stayed at Langford Bay Marina the weekend of August 3rd and had a delightful time. The marina was clean, the pool very refreshing in the August heat, and the owners/managers all-around GREAT people. The owner, Keith, even drove us into Rock Hall for dinner and picked us up afterwards to get us back to our boat. I call that "excellent" service. We will definitely make this marina one of our favored stops on the Bay because of the outstanding accommodations and service that we received. Kurt & Sue Smith, m/v Irish Lady Too
This is an edit to my original comment. First off I would support the other review here. I did go to Lankford Bay and was hauled to have my bottom done per their bottom special and agreed to terms with the owner. We are full time cruisers and have been to many marinas and work yards over the past 6 years up and down the eastern seaboard. I can only say this was the most bazaar experience we have ever had. After being there for almost a week, the only work that got done on my boat was work that I did myself that they were supposed to do. There are some serious personnel issues there. The only good thing I can say about the experience is that they put me back in the water to leave with no bottom paint on my boat and agreed not to charge me. I call it the cant do marina. If you are looking for an out of the way marina in a nice setting to stop at in the middle of the summer then perhaps its a good stop for you. I would never let their yard staff near your boat or you.
This marina is disappointing. It has had new owners for a year now (as of Aug 2018), and it needs a great deal of attention. The docks are old and rickety, some benches are made of old aging wood and supports have rusted out, and the bathrooms are very outdated, with one of two in the ladies room without a shower head. We will not return.
