Rocketts Landing Marina

Great Marina! Beautiful Richmond skyline around the corner, good restaurant selection, earshot from Shockoe. Bring my family up once a week to relax on the James river. Marina includes fuel, very good docking rates, bathroom access, carefree boat club. Great dock workers as well.

Visited in May, '17. Worst marina I can recall. Staff doesn't have radios, work very limited hours, dockmaster difficult to deal with. Worst part, water faucets spew algae and no one seems to care. Ran one faucet for 15-20 minutes and didn't clear. Also, diesel is $4/gallon. (And previous reviewer is correct:weekends are for water toys and the children who run them up and down the river with no consideration of their wakes.) if you want to visit Richmond, you have no other choice, but try to limit your stay, and don't need water or diesel. Asst dockmaster, Rupert, does a good job.

Terrible marina. Constant wakes and high currents make it dangerous to keep your boat here.

Marina is still under construction, so some facilities were unavailable, but the staff was excellent and the facilities that were complete were first class. I would highly recommend this marina.
