The very friendly, knowledgeable staff oversees one of the largest and most beautiful marinas off the Potomac River. From our NEW Concrete Floating Docks located on one of the most pristine, natural, undeveloped settings, your view of Piscataway Creek is one of the most peaceful and beautiful anywhere. To the West, you can actually see the Mount Vernon Mansion across the Potomac! Convenient by boat and car to Washington D.C. and Alexandria Virginia. The beautiful, modern marina building features the manager's office and fully-air conditioned/heated, large shower, bathroom and laundry facilities. Picnic areas with BBQ and a gazebo are available for boat owners' use.

Fort Washington Marina is in need of a lot of physical repairs and upgrades. However, Tiffany and Anthony are great and really bent over backwards to help us. The approach is very shallow (4'). Only the T-heads will accommodate a wide beam, and only one of them has working 30amp connections. The pump out equipment was missing the soft cone style adapter that I needed, so we couldn't pump-out, but Anthony told me that he placed one on order. The restrooms are clean, but were probably built in the 1980's. Laundry was free (One washer and two dryers).
Main place we can get gas in the Alexandria/Mt Vernon area. They now use iPads which speeds up paying with credit card. Helpful, friendly staff. This place is a bit of a hole in the wall and you should stay within the markers as you are basically going down a creek to get there.
Never saw anyone. No wifi and a water main broke on our dock. We called the fire department but my husband fixed it. They were very nice on the phone and communicated information well.
