The very friendly, knowledgeable staff oversees one of the largest and most beautiful marinas off the Potomac River. From our NEW Concrete Floating Docks located on one of the most pristine, natural, undeveloped settings, your view of Piscataway Creek is one of the most peaceful and beautiful anywhere. To the West, you can actually see the Mount Vernon Mansion across the Potomac! Convenient by boat and car to Washington D.C. and Alexandria Virginia. The beautiful, modern marina building features the manager's office and fully-air conditioned/heated, large shower, bathroom and laundry facilities. Picnic areas with BBQ and a gazebo are available for boat owners' use.

Main place we can get gas in the Alexandria/Mt Vernon area. They now use iPads which speeds up paying with credit card. Helpful, friendly staff. This place is a bit of a hole in the wall and you should stay within the markers as you are basically going down a creek to get there.

Marina Response:
Thanks for your review!! Our community enjoys our "hole in the wall" marina since we have been here for over 35 years and we are one of the only full service marinas in the area. As with most of the smaller marinas on the northern Potomac, we are located on a tributary and have a channel to reach the marina. Our channel dept averages 6-10 feet depending on the tides and it is well maintained by the USCG to make navigation easier for our boaters. Our fuel dock is open 7 days a week during the season and our hours are posted on our info page. Please come back soon and tell your friends about our little quiet, quaint, hole in the wall marina that offers an outstanding experience for the price.

Never saw anyone. No wifi and a water main broke on our dock. We called the fire department but my husband fixed it. They were very nice on the phone and communicated information well.

Marina Response:
Thanks for your review!! We appreciate your feedback so we can work on improving the experience of our customers. I want to apologize if you didn't see anyone from the marina during your stay. I know I rounded on your vessel four times, but unfortunately no one was on board at those times for me to thank for fixing the water main leak. So "Thank You" for your quick actions!!! I do want to apologize about our lack of WIFI. We currently do not offer WIFI due to constraints placed on the marina by the National Park Service. We are working on several WIFI solutions and our hope is we have something in place in early 2019. I do hope you enjoyed your overall stay as we enjoyed having you, and your beautiful catamaran, spend time with us at Fort Washington Marina. Will R., General Manager
