Safe Harbor Dauntless Shipyard

Most competent and Thorough Shipyard I’ve ever been at in 50 years of boating. Clear evaluations of issues, description of proposed fixes. Yard manager, service manager, mechanics, rigger, I couldn’t ask for better!

It was ok. Great location by walking right into Essex but as far as a Quality of a marina goes, there was no one around to help, no store, Just a slip to stay in and desolate in all other ways. It was disappointing the WiFi was not working Especially since cell service here is weak. If you just want a very quiet place near town, it’s a decent choice.

Had a great time At Dauntless Shipyard. Essex was fun to explore. The pool was quiet and comfortable. The restaurant had a great view of the yard and the food was great. The yard staff person did a great job.

My family and I had a great two night stay at the Dauntless Shipyard in Essex this past weekend. The staff there is terrific!, we got our slip assignment quickly and there was a dock hand there to help us tie up. After checking in we spent a couple hours swimming in their pool and then did some shopping in town. Saturday evening the marina put on a catered block party, very nice! We started Sunday with a great breakfast at the marina restaurant on the deck over looking the yard and river...fun and relaxing weekend, great place 👍

We had a great stay starting with being met with dock assistant s on the way in to attending a nicely catered block party!!! Everything is clean and working

Dauntless Essex marina is a pretty, pristine and peaceful place to stay. Friendly, easy to dock, and Essex is such a great stop.
