Docks & Mooring

SHYC offers a limited number of docks and moorings for members near the club. To learn more about costs and how we allocate slips, contact the chair of the fleet & docks committee. The club also has transient docks available at times during the summer when members are cruising their boats. If you are visiting the area and interested in using a dock please call the club manager at 269-637-2305 to check on availability. You must be a member of another yacht club to use SHYC dockage.

Arrived at fuel dock and topped off tanks, proceeded to slip and tried to plug electric in only to pop breakers, we can only run our refrigerator and an outlet ( no ac, no battery charger, etc) WiFi does not work even with passcode, stressed concern with dock hands but was told " we have no idea" so we sit on a boat with partial electric and no tv, contemplating leaving early and losing our money due to poor service. We are talking over 600 dollars between slip fee and fuel. Heat is 86 degress outside and miserable on the boat. No concern that they rented me a slip that does not accomodate our needs, we will never be back and regret our decision to stay at SHYC!
