New York Harbor |
Hudson Point Marina nestled in the Morris Canal Basin offering unmatched protection and tranquility. Our family run, 45 slip, marina provides year-round docking and transient services to mariners in the New York City Harbor. We offer competitive rates and a safe and friendly environment. Many years in the business give us an understanding of your boating needs and expectations. The marina has plenty of room to maneuver into the slips. We have easy access to Manahattan via the Ferries and path train both are in walking distance from the marina.
Beautiful small Marina . Only drawback didn’t come face to face with any staff while we were there .
Top-flight facilities in a beautiful sheltered location!
We enjoyed our stay. The marina is quiet and the area is convenient.
Loved the location - the amenities not so much. No wifi, no dock help, loud music from club next door. We were only here for one night - the neighbours were friendly.
Back at marina with my second boat. Friendly Accessable and well located.
This marina was a very positive surprise for our stay in the NYC area. We left Canada late July and wanted to find a marina close to Liberty Island and accessible to Manhattan. When searching for a marina I found it a challenge to find one that had calm water as the ferries in the area really throw a nice wake almost all day long and most marinas won't tell you about the wakes. The Liberty Landing Marina has lots of slips but at $7.50 per foot it is expensive and there is no way to get from that side of the water channel at night because the ferries do not run after 6:30 pm. We found a diamond in the rough with Hudson Point Marina. Not only was it small, but it had calm water, excellent power and water, and there was a deckhand there when we arrived. Prior to our arrival, they sent us info on the slip number, codes to the washroom/showers and at is a privately owned marina with access to the ferry, to the Ellis Island, and the Statue of Liberty plus a 10 minute walk to the NYC PATH to either World Trade Center or to theTimes Square area..... they are inexpensive ways to get around the area. When I needed a pumpout, I called the staff at Hudson Point Marina and they connected me with Liberty Landing and within 1 hour they sent a boat with pumpout, and did it at the dock for $15. Now, that was a pleasant surprise and a great deal. We stayed 6 nights at Hudson Point Marina and cannot say enough good, positive things about our stay. We would visit here again. The only drawback was there were no laundry facilities but the washrooms and showers were clean and welcoming. A BIG thank you to the owners of the marina and their deckhand for making our visit positive. We have good memories of our stay.
Secure facility in a good protected, Marina. easy access to transportation also
Very pleasant & quiet stay for just the night. Rene was super helpful as the dock manger.
Renee the dock master was great with lots of helpful tips re restaurants, bars, etc. No wifi as far as I know.
Accessible and friendly, no real amenities but close to everything.
Nice facility and docks but there is only one small bathroom for one person so you can wait 45 minutes to get in. Convenient location to Manhattan and New York Harbor. Nice staff.
Fantastic marina and a great stay! We ran into some bad weather and had a bit of an off-again/on-again journey. It was worth the adventure and ended up being a great trip. The marina itself is located in a great spot. Well protected and really well maintained.
Truly a hidden gem on the Hudson! Super friendly staff, nice docks with great water pressure, a little tight fit, but they put us on the T-head, so it was easy in and out. We will be back!
Excellent protection against wind and waves. Toilet and shower quite ok. No laundry. Excellent communications to Manhattan. Train and ferry very close. Easy communication with the marina staff. This is probably the best price vs value marina in New York City
Great place, nice and private and quiet… and fairly priced compared to Suntex across the way.
They say " the people " make the difference, and this is so true at Hudson Point. Darian and Rene make a great team and provide amazing customer service. These two are working very hard to assure that we enjoyed our stay and the location could not be more convenient. Thank you Hudson point, we really appreciate the offered price point which allowed us to stop and enjoy the city, thank you so much!
Great location. Ferry to Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty. PATH to the WTC and # of bistros around area. Good approach but watch for ferries and boats coming out or in. Little tight when get in the fairway, but very protected so no wind or current issues. Good security. Only one bathroom. No water to the shower. No other amenities but we didn’t need them. There is a busy outdoor bar to the west. Quite in the slip we were in. If on the T-head it may be different. Nice area to walk and get pictures of the NYC skyline. Would stay here again.
Great place to stop for NYC. Rene was very responsive via text and, upon arrival, gave us a short tour of the area discussing shopping, bistros, ferries and public transportation.Locked gate with key fob for entry. Very active area with walking path to Hudson to see NYC skyline. Tight but easy in/out. Would definitely stay again.
Excellent stay…. This isn’t a fancy marina with a lot of amenities but the location is perfect for seeing NYC and the price is reasonable for NYC. The marina itself only has a few transient slips and 98% of the boats there are permanent moorage. The walking path along the river and access to the ferry’s is great. Jersey City is actually really nice, very charming, lots of restaurants parks and grocery shopping nearby. The owners communication was excellent and they were at the dock to give us a hand coming in. Five stars for location and pricing!
Easy stop in NYC! Great location & rate for the area. Rene met us, explained the marina and went over and above providing recommendations for local restaurants. He even walked us to the train station, pointing out local highlights.
WE really enjoyed our stay in this lovely marina. Very helpful staff ! Great location, easy to get Lower Manhattan via the PATH. We will come back in the future!
Great marina, very helpful owner/manager. Well protected from wash from tour boat. Fantastic location in Jersey City, with easy access ito ferry and tram links. There is only one toilet and shower, however it is very clean and well maintained, has rubbish and recycling bins at tip of ramp again helpful. Thanks, would stay again
Heading toward NYC we made a decision to try Hudson Point Marina, instead of Liberty Landing, based on price and ratings. We were SO glad that we did. We arrived in pouring rain, rather late (after 5) but Rene was there to meet us . There are no signs so it is a bit tricky to find the small marina. Once we did, it was easy to get into our slip. Hudson Point is in a great neighborhood in Jersey city. Tons of wonderful restaurants and shops near by. Rene gave us great advice on transportation , activities, and places to eat, etc. Due to wave forecast off Jersey Shore, we had to delay our departure and the marina was very accommodating. We ended up staying there 3 nights. We had such a good time there. Lots of friendly neighbors and they even have yoga on the dock on Sundays! There is only 1 bathroom with shower, but it was never a problem. Also note, there is no WiFi. Everything else was perfect. Highly recommend!!!
We had an absolutely amazing 4-night stay at Hudson Point. Their staff were very helpful directing our approach and giving us a hand docking. Winds across the Hudson were blowing 15-18 knots, but inside the marina it was glass calm. The location is excellent. Jersey City is quiet at night but only a 10 minute / $4.00 ferry ride from Lower Manhattan! You can also walk 10 minutes to the Exchange Place PATH station and take the Subway across, but the ferries are much nicer! Restaurants in the area are stellar! We had dinner for two at the White Horse tavern for $113, with a bottle of wine! We also spent two full days touring NYC! We definitely plan to return when we head back North in 2024!
Excellent! Above and beyond service. Friendly little marina.
Absolute gem of a spot. Friendly staff that took the time to give us food recommendations and even walked us to the ferry dock and explained the schedule to us. Great location close to stores and restaurants. Planning on staying here again next year on our way through!
Darian and Rene were awesome. Nice quiet slip and convenient location.
Lovely little marina. Very good value, with many shops and restaurants nearby
Perfect layover from homeport Westbrook CT on the way to cruising the Hudson R. Across the channel from the much larger, more expensive Liberty Landing Marina. Not a lot of superfluous amenities, but well protected site within easy walking distance to many nice restaurants. Single, private bathroom/shower room is very adequate with excellent hot water pressure. No staff on hand when we arrived mid-afternoon Saturday, but resident sailors were most helpful docking in tight quarters and orienting us. We liked it so much we plan to stay there on the way back.
Great little marina in NYC area. Had an excellent stay.
Great place, easy to get too, Clean bathroos and shower. Highly recommend
Darian and Renea were outstanding hosts. I would definitely stay again!
Rene was very helpful Short walk to great restaurants
Nice marina not too far for provisioning very calm waters
Lovely small marina I. A nice neighborhood with really nice people in a location really convenient to public transport to Manhattan at the right price. ‘Nuff said!
Just a great place to accomplish our goals. We simply wanted see Lady Liberty and Ellis Island and escape from NYC ASAP.
AMAZING!!! Rene' was awesome. Was there to help us dock and get settled. Then showed us all around the area for transportation options and restaurants, markets, etc. Was available via text the whole time. Clean and great security. Thank you Darien and Rene. Highly recommend this place.
Best kept secret in NJ /NY harbor. Marina is best value in area and has great access to NYC by ferry (50 yards away) and subway (PATH) Rene is amazing and will help you with any questions. Getting into marina was a breeze and very quiet nights! Very happy we went here and not across the inlet!!
Very helpful dockmaster. Gave us some needed equipment. Great access to ferries/PATH to get over to NYC quickly. Also some great restaurants in the surrounding area. Easy to pull in/out. Floating docks are clean.
Great spot in Jersey City. Close to tons of restaurants and easy access to NYC by ferry or train. Also easy to get to Newark airport. This marina has new floating docks, good electric and locked gate. It is in a nice neighborhood, great for walking.
This is a nice and quiet marina but it is very small and the spots are very tight. I wouldn’t recommend trying to stay here with a larger vessel. Very tight squeeze and not worth the stress of trying to dock.
Hudson Point is a great location. Restaurants are within walking distance . The ferry to Manhattan is a short walk. You can also take this ferry across the canal to Liberty state park. Also next door to the marina is Manhattan Island Sailing club. You can take their launch out the barge anchored in NY harbor and watch the weekly sailboat races. Hudson Point does not offer much in the way of amenities but prices are more reasonable than the competition across the canal.
This a very sheltered marina with still water and with tall buildings to the north and East of it, there is also shelter from winds from those directions The marina is very quiet and peaceful at night and although in a city, does not have the feeling of being in a big city, except for the buildings in the area. Rene who manages the docks and marina is really friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my two night stay and will come back again. It is a bit pricey and because of the coronavirus pandemic, the restrooms and showers were closed and there is no WiFi here. But the docks and well maintained and the electric service and water hoses are good. A very nice marina ! Highly recommended. Capt Ed
