CYC is a small yacht club in MidCoast Maine. We do not have showers or laundry. We have a seasonal lunch room that serves between 11:30-2:00pm. Tues - Saturday. There is launch service in high season between 8am - 8pm.
Great experience. The launch crew is the best! Very welcoming.
Great launch service ( Cinthy) and friendly members!
I thought we would be at a dock however the dock was a floating dock like a mooring. Only launch service to get ashore and no power, of course.
Very slow in confirming DOCKWA mooring request but once there it was fantastic. Such a beautiful yacht club.
One of my favorite clubs to visit. Waterfront staff is excellent and facilities/mooring are top notch! Jon Constant
To me, dock means being on a solid structure giving access to the shore. Our stay was being tied to a float in the center of the harbor. This would not be a problem except that my wife has had recent knee surgery and climbing in and out of the dinghy presents safety and health risk. I was not a happy camper. The Camden Yacht Club was great but couldn't change our location.
The staff were pleasant and tried to be helpful. However, they made an error.on our reservation dates even though we had a confirming email. The club us closed.on Monday, our arrival day so we lost several hours straightening out where we would be.moored. Only the launch driver was on duty and he was overwhelmed. The club has no showers or laundry facilities and the wifi was not working. It is a cute club but deficient in too many areas for cruisers.
Easy & welcoming - a pleasure
Easy calm mooring. Spectacular harbor. Great meal at 40 Paper
CYC is very friendly, providing ample instructions on arrival. The floaters (mini-docks for two boats each moored in the inner harbor) are easy to use and conveniently located to the dinghy dock on shore, which is a two minute row away. In turn, downtown Camden is a short walk. The clubhouse is pleasant and friendly. There are small restrooms with a single shower each but no laundry or other services. There's a bar and restaurant but we didn't have the opportunity to try it.
Wonderful location. Very friendly folks at CYC. Responded quickly. They even called to keep us posted on the shuttle service given a storm that was also visiting. Would stay here again without a doubt.
A very welcoming club. They couldn’t have been nicer and helpful.
Club and crew were great, but our outer-harbor mooring was torture with storm-surge from the SE quadrant. Pick better conditions or find a float in the inner harbor. Had to use lee-cloths to stay in our berths. The good thing is we now know from the launch ride the condition of our antiifouling paint - front, back, & both sides.
Great access to town center, professional launch service.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. We will stay here again
We had a nice stay although it seems the club believes a "dock" and a "float" are equivalent. Not necessarily so for someone with a dog that needs to go to the bathroom when the (very nice) launch isn't running.
Extremely friendly staff and launch drivers. Nothing beats sitting by the fireplace on a rainy day. No showers.
Really enjoyed Camden and the Yacht Club. Will be back
Very nice. Great people.
Very comfortable and staff was friendly and helpful
Great experience. Wish we could have stayed longer. We'll go back.
