Our 16-acre sheltered location offers an unlimited variety of summertime activities. Swim or relax poolside, enjoy great food at our dockside eatery or barbecue in our park-like picnic area. Reconnoiter the Rondout Creek in your inflatable (just like the British fleet searching for the revolutionaries’ Lady Washington galley in 1777), or visit the Hudson River Maritime Museum. It’s all here in one great location.

Come visit us and experience the best in service, the friendliest people and the finest accommodations on the Hudson River. Also ask about our water side RV hook-ups and rentals.
We love Rondout Yacht Basin. Staff is great. Pool is refreshing. Toni will make you a delicious meal at the cafe. Most of all the people at the basin are the best. Looking forward to visiting again soon.
Had a great Labor Day weekend. Brandon was great! Helpful and always available. The cafe serves good food at reasonable prices. Pool was nice. Bathrooms could use some updating. It's been about 10 years since we were there, but will definitely be back next year!
Always a great place to dock, eat, swim and relax!
Always accommodating, and always a wonderful time
Excellent service with a personal touch. Rented a slip overnight and stayed in nearby Kingston. Uber's are hard to depend on lately. Marina owner gave us a ride into town and honestly couldn't have been nicer. The marina is on the Round Out Creek about 3/4 of a mile off the Hudson. Good choice to stop for loopers on the way north.
This is our 5th year coming up on our boat for a stay. These guys are great and you have access to the areas sights and scenes- My boys love it. It is a wonderful time to unplug with the family - priceless.
Very nice folks. Facility has everything you'd expect. Even the wifi works! The only minor issue is the overall decay of the place. Not bad though !
Nice marina and great staff. Wish they had a car available as the town is across the channel away, but to far to walk by land. The Uber ride was 20 dollars one way and about a 10 minute ride.
We made reservations 2 weeks prior. Received confirmation and given slip assignment. Instructions said to hail on 9 (dock hand said they don’t monitor 9 as it says in Dockwa) when arriving couldn’t get them on the phone or the radio. Left message, no call back. Finally after getting in touch, he told us that he didn’t have a slip, for us (at 3:00). Does not live up to their description. Lot of deferred maintenance.
Friendly and helpful dock staff.
Thanks for a good stay.
Nice people, staff and people who have boats there permanently. However, the facilities were very average and you are on the opposite side of the river to be able to visit the town.
excellent dockhands narrow fairway
Great staff (Brandon and Neil). In the middle of nowhere. Facilities could use some attention and repair. Would stop there again.
Nice Marina. Great staff.
Nice and quiet marina
Great marina and staff. When we were unable to get an Uber or taxi to town to see maritime museum they gave us a ride! We were able to Uber back no problem. Restaurant on site had reasonable delicious food. Nice pool and showers.
Andrew and the team are terrific, so helpful! They even took us to the store to re-provision. Post office within walking distance.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Camp like environment and very clean. Well maintained floating docks.
Friendly people and good facilities.
It would have been a 5 if we did not have to look at a Trump flag all during our stay !
Friendly helpful staff, isolated, restaurant good closes after lunch…more of a boat yards……
staff always helpful. facility very clean, docks well maintained
Staff and members are very helpful and friendly and accommodating.
Excellent dock assistance. Bathrooms need attention . Lack of outside lighting.
Wonderful place! Tom is so nice and helpful! He obviously cares about his guests! Very accommodating with a great slip, explaining the layout and amenities, plus local knowledge of the surrounding area! I can't say enough good things about the whole atmosphere of that place, which he helps create. Rondout is a charming place to stop, with lots of character. Plenty of things to do too, if you have time to stay awhile? Pleasant!
Had a great time here. Pool is clean and staff is very friendly Towers cafe has delicious food
Dockmaster answered hail as we arrived and met us at slip for tie up. Friendly helpful liveaboards. Lovely pool. good area for dogs. $10 taxi ride to town. Maritime museum wonderful! Wonderful meal at Savona's Trattoria! Historic district of town a short walk up hill and very worthwhile.
Excellent service and services. Friendly and welcoming.
Most accommodating and friendly stop on Great Loop yet! Andrew was awesome. Gave us his keys to his personal truck and delivered farm fresh eggs to our boat first thing. Calm, serene and beautiful spot.
This marina has a great vibe with helpful, friendly, accommodating staff. Neal and Tom helped us getting situated. Well located for visiting historic sites and The Culinary Institute. Loved our stay!
Beautiful spot… dock help was exceptional, knowledgeable, polite and friendly. The food concession “ margaritas “ …also very friendly, tasty and fun… huge portions! It was however really hard to find an Uber or Cab to pick us up at the marina.
Great spot. Not walkable/bikeable to port area of Kingston but easy cab ride. Nice folks.
We recently spent 2 nights with Nick and his crew.. from the moment we were met at the dock to the time we left, all our needs were quickly taken care of. Thanks again and looking forward to our return next Year!
Great stay. Andrew and Nick run a great establishment
One quick night . Diesel fueled up! Friendly and accommodating staff.
Great team running the marina. Very helpful and friendly. The should consider offering a water taxi to and from downtown Kingston.
Staff was great beautiful setting on a tranquil river. Short Dinghy to dInner and quaint town. I will be back
Friendly people and quite
Great marina, with safe and accessible slips. Easy access to nice downtown. Convenient to NYC.
I love this place. I have been coming here since 2003 and it is still so friendly, helpful and nice. everything is clean and well maintained.
Great crew! Nice place...,friendly boaters.
Very friendly staff and the other boaters we met. Lots of kids for yours to play with. Pool was clean and very welcome in 90+ weather. We will be back
Restrooms were dirty and inadequate for the number of boaters. Dock staff gave poor instructions to transient boaters. Docks were old and dirty. Would not recommend.
Donovans is a great place to stop. The staff if very nice and helpful. The regulars are welcoming and the place is clean and nice. We like it as starting point for upstate trips since we trailer our little Albin trawler and they have a great ramp and good parking. And best of all, they have a very nice restaurant on site, Boathouse Grill, with a great patio overlooking the Hudson and nicely prepared food. Don’t miss out on the sweet and hot calamari with the fancy sweet drop fruits.
Fuel, pump out, pool, bbq’s, ships store, and a friendly knowledgeable staff. What more could a boater want. Nick and Andrew run a great marina.
We had a great time. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The pool was fun. The showers were clean.
Just a great place with great people. They are probably the most service oriented marina I’ve ever been to. Nick and Andrew, the owners are truly dedicated.
The owners and staff are great. Everyone is both friendly and helpful. In fact we were booked at another marina for the return trip and canceled that reservation to come back to this Marina. This stop is highly recommended.
These people were WONDERFUL. We arrived after a long day of travel on the rough Hudson in incredibly strong, gusty winds in a 36' boat. They helped us wrestle her safely to the dock and managed other arriving boats similarly well. Nash, on the dock, pointed out to us that our dinghy, mounted on the on the stern of the boat, was not supported properly (a support had broken enroute in the rough waters) and immediately helped us get it fixed. The owner, Nick, took my husband to the local Home Depot to get a part needed for the repair and wouldn't accept payment for the ride. Others who keep their boats regularly at the marina stopped by to offer needed muscle or guidance or encouragement. What a wonderful experience! I highly recommend this marina to transients or to anyone else!
The location of this marina is great for visiting in the Kingston area. We rented a car and spent two delightful days visiting the FDR Home and Museum as well as Eleanor Roosevelt’s home at Valkill. The highlight of our trip was having lunch on both days at the Culinary Institute of America at Hyde Park. Rondout Yacht Basin itself is beginning to show its age. The heads and showers were clean but out of date. The piers are in decent shape. Perhaps all the rain we had while here took some shine off the facility. The marina’s web site boasts a dockside cafe but it’s only a small snack stand with an awning covered eating area. To be fair, it was closed the whole time we were there so I can’t comment on the quality or extent of the menu. The most frustrating part of this stay was contacting the marina upon arrival. The DockWa listing and my reservation confirmation both said to contact them on VHF Channel 9. I tried several times but got no response. When I called by phone all I got was an answering machine - but no response to the message I left. When I asked the person who finally met the boat after my second phone call, I was told that they don’t monitor Channel 9, but only Channel 16. I had tried that twice with no response as well. It’s very frustrating to bring a boat into a new port and new marina and not be able to contact anyone ashore until you’re already in sight of the fuel dock.
Great Marina with excellent Staff, and facilities. The pool is great!
Nice location, just a short dingy ride to downtown Kingston. Very accommodating crew except they do not carry radios at the dock so it 's extremely hard to communicate especially if multiple boats arrive at once.
Love the staff .. great breakfast. We Will come again.
Had a great time! Docking was perfect and clean. All facilities were well maintained. Pool was very enjoyable, again great shape and clean. Staff couldn't be nicer and more accommodating. Always a smile and willing to please. Loved everything. Will definitely return.
Owner met us on the dock. Docks are floating and look to be fairly new. Diesel fuel is a lot lower than advertised on Marinas.com. It was $2.30 with Boat US discount. A nice swimming pool, an area for horse shoes, volleyball, etc. a small bar & grill right on the dock. Dock hands were very helpful and friendly. Only thing is no store within walking distance and I didn't see any laundry facilities.
