About
Transients welcome! We are very proud of our history and our rich traditions here at the Club. We have a diverse membership with a variety of family, social and recreational activities, dining, tennis, fitness, and fun aquatic and youth programs. We pride ourselves on the camaraderie amongst one another and our strong ties for our Club.
Our Club is uniquely located on the Lafayette River on Hampton Boulevard between Old Dominion University and the Norfolk Naval Station.

Excellent Marina and facilities. Modern piers and deep slips. Has reciprocity with other yacht clubs, and takes transient vessels.
Norfolk Yacht and Country Club establishes the standard for excellence. As a transient member of another club (Portland Yacht Club), we were welcomed as a cherished guest. The staff consistently provided services far beyond expectations. The weather was foul (high winds and waves) for us to stay aboard our 34 foot sloop. Staff assisted in securing the boat and finding a hotel room in the club for the night. It was wonderful to experience the pool and athletic facilities. Dinner was super, as were the staff and view. The physical structure (main building) is being renovated; however, that did not interfere with an absolutely amazing experience. Thank you so very much!
Up and coming marina that is not really used to transient boaters. Pool and fitness center were awesome and recently renovated. Staff at both of these were phenomenal. Clubhouse needs renovated and very 90’s decode but it’s supposed to be renovated in 2021. The Deck food was good and reasonably priced. The office staff needs training on transient boaters and hailing on the vhf radio and telephone resulted in no one able to direct us to our slip. Water on D dock is not working and would have been nice to know before docking our boat. Overall, decent experience and we will be back to see the future improvements, hoped with the water working.
Beautiful facility with good dock hands as well. We will be back.
