There is only one consistency maintained throughout each build and refit: the exceptionally high quality of the end product, both aesthetically and functionally. Diesel fuel truck delivery available upon request
They didn't honor the reservation and we had to find another location. The Belfast town dock found us a slip for the night. Their staff was great and the fuel price was the best I had. found this year. Their facility was excellent.
If you’re assigned to a morning in the “outer harbor” know that means you’re in the bay. Between the wake and the wind the night we were there, it was very uncomfortable. We also had a hard time finding our assigned ball (first time there). They did send a kid on a skiff who brought us to the wrong one - but the right neighborhood. With the bouncing boat and tiny pendant it was really hard to get the line - I watched another boat struggle too - they finally left! Might as well just anchor.
Very accommodating. Excellent services. Availability of loaner car for trips to local grocery for reprovisioning is a great plus to offer users of the marina.
A well-managed marina with a team that understands the meaning of customer service. Ben, thank you for helping us with a crew to clean the inside of our boat. They were amazing and much appreciated. Everything is within walking distance. We enjoyed the early morning walks and Shipyard activity. These guys know what they are doing. Looking forward to coming back. Thank you for your hospitality.
Friendly staff and very nice heads/showers. At FSS. Belfast Harbormaster was very helpful as well. Great town!
Great stop on our cruise and for an unexpected bow thruster issue. JB, Bob and the team are very professional and helpful.
Given how this is such a busy time getting boats in the water (yards have been behind-schedule up and down the coast due to the strange weather), we understood that there was no dock space for us to tie up for an hour or so to allow us to stretch our legs ashore. Instead we were given the closest mooring to the town wharf, which made things easy. Great facility, and I can’t tell you how many other boats we know that will be headed your way to have some work done or simply to be centrally located for summer cruising.
Okay, they apparently fired their dock master and it was Labor Day, but no one was there. No one. So, we tied up briefly but because we had no idea where we were supposed to be we felt like trespassers and moved to the town dock. Still trying to get a refund. They are hard to communicate with. I get it’s COVID but we have been waiting for a response and refund for two weeks now.
The mooring was so far away from the dock to get into Belfast, approximately 1/2 mile out. It was also quite a way past the No Wake Zone, so boats were flying past us rocking the boat like crazy.
Helpful staff. Interesting town. Grocery and good restaurants nearby. Clean showers.
Call ahead and ask if your on the inner harbor or the outside edge. Our mooring was along the channel but past the 5 mph markers so we got rocked steadily by boat traffic at high speed and it was a very long dinghy ride in.
Jonathan at Front Street Marina was an outstanding dock master and was more than happy to accommodate my needs. He is also a wealth of knowledge of large wooden sailing vessels and their history. A most enjoyable stay!
Great Experience. Helpful, knowledgeable staff. Cute town in walking distance. Courtesy car for provisioning and it is located at a significant shipyard. Very interesting. Easy in and out.
Great marina-Was on the front dock! Got fogged in -had planned one day stay --they were very accommodating --first day said stay till it clears --it didn't!-got a second night -problem! great. facility -showers/ laundry --location.. Will go back -actually was a second time already! Plus unbelievable work going on in this yard!
Thanks so much for a great stay, we love Belfast and will be back and hope to spend more time on our next trip. Easy in a d out and accommodations were great. Close to town and things to do.
We had an excellent stay at FSS, with friendly and helpful staff and a convenient location to town. I would give it 5 stars except for the most expensive load of laundry I have ever done in a coin-op. Dryers took 2.5 cycles @ $2.25 each, so over $7 for not a huge load. The lint screen was clean, so it’s something else that needs adjusting. We will be back, but will plan better for laundry.
Great customer service. Great location. Walking distance to downtown and restaurants. Restrooms, showers, laundry. Special shout out to Mark Tubbs for helping us get a great spot to tie up to and Brandon in the woodworking area for taking extra special care of us. We needed a few small pieces of teak to repair a damaged spot in our boat and Brandon gave them to us and asked us just to pay it forward. All the people are extremely nice and helpful. The boats that they are working on are amazing. A very well run yard.
We were without an anchor (they installed a new windlass) a dinghy (cradle they installed failed) and had a bad cutlass bearing - due to services provided at Front Street Shipyard. These are life-safety issue that left us hostage at their dock for 3 weeks, then the A team took over and we were underway in 3 days. They have an A team and a not quite B team, guess which team did the majority of our work. Last year we spent 1 day at a dock for fuel, this year we missed the annual Nova Scotia trip with the Nordhavn group due to their negligence. If your not there every day to verify the job, your more likely going to be chasing leaks, repairing odd items like direction pads for a windlass or replacing small parts that are misplaced or damaged. They left 3 batteries connected over winter. Of course after we paid the full price they only seemed to charge 1/2 price for repairing this fiasco. Considering each window caulked took them 2 hours and the ones I did of the same size only took me 1 hour each... that breaks down to paying a f#@k ton of money. Hope you have a better experience than ours, fair winds and following seas.
Excellent marina! Friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful staff, extraordinarily clean and modern bathrooms, and a loaner car. We will definitely return.
Friendly staff - nice docks -good facilities-loaner car a plus - Easy walk to town
Very nice and accommodating. Nice clean shower rooms, good Wi-Fi, and short walk to town
Excellent location with first class facilities and service.
Nice protected port, decent quality docks, good facilities. Easy walk to downtown shops and good restaurants. Staff was generally helpful and friendly. Will stay here again.
This was my second stay. It's a full service shipyard with helpful and friendly staff. I've also had work done there and found all to be high quality.
It was nice to be informed ahead of time that we would be on a float instead of a mooring. We appreciate the use of the truck for provisions. Sorry we missed the tour of the shipyard.
Staff was great, facilities clean, location to town and pubs/dining is great. A lot of changes to this location since our last stay in Belfast many years ago.
Very nice mooring field and superior shipyard. Very helpful mechanic sorted out an alternator issue. Great laundry, showers, "yachtspersons" facility. Very convenient to Town.
