Quick overnight stop on way to canal. been many years since visiting and much as changed. We will return
Mooring buoy #21 is too close to red plastic channel marker. Our 50’ power boat’s swim platform was tapping the buoy during the night. Annoying. Also buoy #20 with a sail boat looked very close. No problem but spacing could be improved
First time back under new ownership. The new docks are great and very stable. Moorings seem to be spread out more. Our mooring #16 was open to the east entrance with no protection from harbor island. We didn’t care for this and rocked overnight. Bucks restaurant , ordinarily a reason to stop here, is under new management and menu is entirely. Check it out on line so you won’t be disappointed.
First time back since the fire. The restaurants and shops are quite nice. A huge improvement over the past. It’s great to see such a recovery
I love the location, the restaurant and very welcoming staff. The mooring fee of $80 is surprising. We come for dinner and spend the night. So cocktails and dinner is very pricey considering the mooring fee. Other folks come for dinner, tie up at the deck free of charge and leave after dinner and pay nothing for dockage. Where is the equity?.
Easy access, delightful area
Lovely quiet location with attentive dock attendants. An excellent spot for diesel and water with out a rush. The Osprey restaurant is also delightful
We love Gloucester. Harbor Masters are extremely helpful. And great restaurants in town. BUT our mooring assignment was outside of the inner harbor and boat wakes are horrendous. The No Wake area should be extended to before Ten Pound Island for safety and comfort of moored guests. In the future we will decline any mooring outside of the peaceful inner harbor
Cost prohibitive $3/foot is outlandish for a mooring. Lovely location but dropping the hook makes more sense
Delightful secure location. The marina is well maintained with adequate dinghy space. The Chart Room restaurant was excellent. As swordfish snobs they did an outstanding job. Juicy and delicious.
Great alternative to Provincetown moorings.
Always a very nice salty stop. Nice store and the Dip Net restaurant is good. Ice cream just around the corner
The harbor master is very accommodating and helpful. This was our first time back in years and we will return
