Lyman-Morse Camden is a full-service marina and boatyard in the beautiful Penobscot Bay town of Camden, Maine. This year, our shoreside landscape will look much different thanks to our newly reconstructed Lyman-Morse marina complex. We are very excited for you to experience these new facilities and enjoy the variety of activities available in our area guaranteed to suit all tastes! In addition to spectacular boating, you will find great hiking, biking, terrific restaurants, as well as galleries and museums.
Nice facility and staff was helpful and patient in answering my somewhat novice questions.
The staff and amenities are great. Beautiful setting. We look forward to a return trip. Only issue is the aluminum ramp next to our boat makes noise all night.
Good mooring location, long summer launch hours, friendly service in all areas!
Lovely stay! Great price on Gas. The facilities are star hotel quality!
Wow this place is posh! LM did a huge upgrade over the past couple of years. I felt underdressed getting out of the dinghy, but eh we’re sailors. Cynthia couldn’t have been nicer, helped us at the fuel dock, and ready with information. Guest Lounge like a hotel, press code and hold or door doesn’t open. Surprisingly quiet at night, minimal roll.
We were there only one night but we were impressed with their service and facilities.
Taking a mooring in Camden is difficult after Labor Day. Their launch service only runs until 6:00PM and the dingy dock has no room umless you are very creative and even then you might not get a spot if you want to go out to dinner. Lots of good restaurants there and it is definitely one of the main reasons to go.
First class accommodations. Restaurant was great. And great little breakfast spot.
We haven’t been to Camden for awhile and truly appreciated all the facilities and helpful staff. We will be back.
This was our third time coming here, and we had an absolute wonderful stay. The location is perfect, and Cynthia in the dock house was as helpful as always. We will absolutely be back next year, rarely do you have such a wonderful combination of facilities, location, and dock staff. Five stars all the way.
Usual great service from all of the LM team. This is our favorite place to stay while on the water.
Marina staff was excellent. Requested mooring for Labor Day weekend at midnight and had confirmation early next morning. Woman on the VHF who directed us to the mooring was very clear anout how to find mooring when we arrived. However the moorings in Camden outer harbor are very uncomfortable in any kind of southerly breeze. We were very comfortable all night but started to roll badly at 4AM and had to leave. I have used Lyman Morse twice for urgent repairs and they were great and the inner harbor floats are very comfortable if you are under 42 feet. But I have learned from bitter experience to avoid the outer harbor!
Great team. Went out of their way to be helpful. Always great stay.
It’s a great place and I would have given it 5 stars. However the evening launch driver not good. He was unresponsive on the radio he was very slow ( He said that he had to go slow because it was dark out.). After more than a half hour he finally showed up then he declined to take everyone in our party in the launch.
Love the facilities (lounge with showers, laundry, & excellent wifi. Launch availability & drivers were great as were fuel dock staff. Office was always helpful & responsive. It's nice to have restaurants on the dock.
Our favorite marina in Maine. Nancy and Charlie are always helpful and knowledgeable. Location is great and we love the new building with restaurants, coffee shop and more. .
This was our first trip to LM. Directions to the inner harbor and our mooring float were given clearly and accurately. The staff on the docks and launch were friendly and accommodating. We were impressed with Nancy’s management. Our meal at Salt Wharf was enjoyable and just steps off the launch. We look forward to returning next year.
Great quality docks in the protected inner harbor. Very attentive staff.
Well-kept moorings, prompt & friendly launch service and a dock crew that bent over backwards to be helpful - what more could you ask?
Always wonderful - great service, great facilities and perfect location. The people who work there are the best!!
Thank you Lyman-Morse. Your team provided excellent service and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Camden. Thank you!!! Can’t wait to return next summer sv TuneCat
Charlie & Nancy are very helpful! New facility is exceptional - we visit annually
L-M is a first class operation. Prompt launch service, excellent bath and laundry facilities and a very friendly staff. It is and will be part of our Maine cruise each year.
Great facility with a welcoming and capable staff. Looking forward to my next visit.
Always a good experience. Dock staff are great, facilities top-notch.
Prompt, pleasant, efficient staff, on and off the water. Launch tenders and dock staff are always helpful ambassadors during our stay. For this trip we arrived at the same time as several other boats, all of whom were trying to beat a storm. The dock and launch staff had their hands full responding to all the VHF calls, and they handled them all professionally, politely, and efficiently. One launch tender even followed up with us later to make sure we found our mooring, which we had, due to his initial helpful direction.
First class facilities and location and very helpful dock crew.
Wonderful spot for everyone, good shopping, dinning, hiking and taking in the beauty from aboard.
This is individually the best Marina I’ve ever been to in my boating career. They said a new standard of service and quality.
Professional operation, friendly launch operators that run 7:00 to 21:00
Everything is awesome. The management, launch drivers and docks hands are so respectful and helpful. Probably the best managed facility in the northeast..
All I can say is they are one of the best. Go see for yourself. Second time this year. They’re still the best!
Couldn’t be better. The staff is friendly and helpful, the docks are in excellent shape and the shoreside facilities (showers, restaurants, etc) are first class.
We stay at Lyman-Morse every year during the Camden Classic Cup Regatta. Without fail they bend over backwards to make sure the regatta participants have a first class experience. In our case, it also meant they were ready to launch our boat at 7:00 AM to allow us to get it rigged before the tent people came to set up for the receptions.
Always good and reliable. New facilities are fantastic. Personnel very helpful and friendly
Excellent launch service and shore facilities. Enjoyed the Camden Classic Cup races and parties
Nancy and Town Dockmaster were very welcoming and accommodating as always!!
Very accommodating. New facilities since we were here 3 years prior.
Everything was just great. The people, the entire wharf, the good, shops, the bathroom/laundry. As nice a a boutique modern Hotel in any city!!!
I had a great stay on a LM mooring for several days. Excellent launch service to shore and across the harbor to the town dock. Terrific showers, bathrooms and laundry facilities. Several nice places for a coffee, drink or meal right on the LM wharf. All good!
World class facilities, great location, professional and friendly staff.
The service techs didn't have the expertise or equipment to troubleshoot or repair my Volvo Penta Common Rail. Charged me $200 to tell me they didn't have the computer or technician to do the job. Feel scammed.
Wonderful dockage. We always enjoy the inner harbor floating docks and look forward to our yearly visits
People were very courteous,helpful,..what a very neat, and clean facility
Property is excellent. On site restaurants and amenities are very good.
Always a great stay. All the help are very friendly and knowledgeable
Excellent & friendly service from start to finish!
We love LM and in particular the entire CREW/STAFF and the beautiful facilities….
If convenience and congeniality are important factors in choosing dockage for your boat, then the Camden Harbor facility of Lyman-Morse should be at the top of your list. The dock hands are ever helpful and pleasant, the process of refueling is easy, and their technicians and mechanics are accessible and gifted.
Great location, great service! This was our second stay. service was excellent an consistent. We’ll be back!
Dock office and launch team are outstanding, helpful people - Charlie and Nancy. Thank you!
Our stay at lyman-Morse could not have been better. The folks that work the docks/launch are really outstanding. The facilities are new and always clean and the team was very helpful with day trip suggestions.
Outstanding marina. Nancy and all of the crew were great. Responsive, accommodating, and went out of their way to ensure an enjoyable stay. The facility and amenities are excellent and in great shape. A very well run operation! Look forward to returning.
Amazing Camden Experience at Lyman Mores! Nancy and her team were exceptional! Thank you for a great stay.
Excellent service. Terrific crew Cynthia, Nancy, Charlie and Jeff thank you. Really enjoyed the restaurants and bars at LM facility. Beautiful Harbor. Great spot …wish we could have stayed longer.
Great service! The launch service was very prompt & friendly.
The best of the best people work here. Cynthia and the staff are super friendly and helpful. We felt always so welcome and will return again……and again.
We stayed on a mooring in Camden Harbor. The pendant was clean and location was fairly quiet. The launch driver was very helpful and met us at the mooring with the lounge and wi-fi codes since we arrived after the office closed. The dinghy dock was uncrowded and close to the buildings. The showers and restrooms are new and a pleasure to use. We had a great visit to Camden. Thanks Lyman-Morse!
The staff was very helpful and provided great customer service. Facilities were updated and clean. We enjoyed the stay. Thank you.
Excellent stay at Lyman Morse! The dock was well-managed at the busy time of arrival. The staff was courteous, and we found the lounge and showers a great perk! Next time we will try to remember that none of the dining spots are open on Monday and Tuesday, but it was easy enough to get over to town for options.
As always professional. Had a generator problem that was addressed by Travis (tech). What can you say about an outfit that responded on Tuesday of Labor Day Weekend other than superb service. Thx. David and Marion Gardner aboard MIMI III.
Great service and location. It was a bit of a bummer that their full suite of new facilities (i.e., restaurants, etc.) were closed on Tues/Weds. We would have enjoyed visiting them.
Fantastic stay, great facilities, looking forward to coming back soon.
Great marina with clean washrooms and amenities. Vibrant restaurants and shops nearby.
As usual very nice clean, very accommodating Marina. They cannot do enough for you. Got a rope tangled in my props, and within five minutes of calling the marina. They had a diver lined up and ready for me the following morning to take care of the issue. Highly recommend staying at Lyman Morse.
The facilities and the people at LM Camden re nothing short of fantastic. We'e seen many marina showers in our 10+ years of cruising and these along with the lounge are by far the very best we've ever seen. Charlie, Cynthia, Paul and Nancy in the dockhouse have been courteous, kind and helpful the whole stay. LM rocks!
Beautiful harbor, great communication & very heavy, well tended mooring!
The most beautiful accommodations (docs, restaurants, showers, bathrooms, laundry, filtered water, and trash disposal). Quiet and well protected. 12 min walk into town or a complimentary water shuttle across the harbor.
All of the staff were knowledgeable and willing to help. The facility was clean and well maintained.
Very nice facility - showers, laundry, docks with various restaurants. Launch drivers extremely nice and helpful. Courtesy car is also available to go to grocery.
Rocky Rolly on the mooring, very nice marina, very clean, staff is Great, accessible to town, walkable and launch service
Great staff and beautiful facilities. Camden is a must see!
Ah…. Some people? They pursue excellence! Lyman Morse? Delightful! What a wonderful operation they have… Hospitality? 5 stars. This is a very new marina. All the hard assets are new. Beautiful rooms, restaurants, laundry, bathrooms… etc… At every opportunity, they delivered a 5 star experience. Bravo… Bravo… We would love to spend a month with you! ☺️
Great spot and Dock personnel were very helpful in all my needs. Thanks again.
Great dinner at Salt Wharf; the shower door was broken and the body wash wash empty and the knob was loose. Bathrooms just need a little more attention. The marina looks great with all of the new store fronts. Lastly, the dockhand did not know how to plug in our power cord so I did it. Hopefully this feedback is helpful thanks.
Impressive customer service and facilities. Inner Camden harbor is lovely, mooring field is adequately protected. Had a nice stay.
Incredible facilities, thoughtfully laid out, with attentive and friendly staff. Hard to think of a better marina in New England.
What a great marina in a great town. Dock staff were helpful, competent and friendly; everything is newly built and in tip top condition. We look forward to visiting again.
Immeduate response on Dockwa. Very helpful dock team. Clear directions to mooring. Mooring had pick-up stick so easy to grab. Launch stopped by to check in. Overall a quality operation.
The dock staff was excellent. New Wharf area bars and restaurants excellent but pricey. Unfortunately they were unable to solve my shorepower issues. My older boat kept tripping the GFI pedestals. This might be a problem.
Great staff, excellent launch service, scenic, and a lovely town. The only challenge was that the boat was rocking all night in the mooring field, and it was a calm evening. Our boat weighs 110,000 lbs, so it is not a small boat. The view was fabulous, but there was a "price to pay" - just something to consider. Not the end of the world.
Service exceptional, as always and new facilities very nice.
Great marina - the renovated docks and restaurants and shops are terrific. Everyone was very helpful and made out stay excellent!
Great staff, amazing new facility. Very helpful and accommodating. Wonderful launch service. Sherman Cove where most of the moorings are located can be rolly with South breezes, but the town and facility make up for it.
Great staff—friendly and efficient. Really nice LM new facilities. Launch service excellent.
Very friendly and accommodating! Shower and laundry area are clean and well appointed.
Our mooring ball #5 was perfect. Really glad they put the sticks and floats on the pendant. Makes life alot easier. The staff was gracious. The shuttle is a great addition. The dinghy dock could be enlarged but we were able to wedge our way in. Definitely will be back
Always a pleasure. Friendly staff, great yachts to see. Sorry that they replaced Rhumbline restaurant with Salt Wharf, latter pretentious. Blue Barren casual bar ok but not open some days even in high season.
Incredibly fast response despite being the Camden Regatta Weekend. Service model was impeccable! Lovely town. Amazing lineup of wooden yachts. Thank you!
LYMAN MORE IS SETTING A NEW STANDARD FOR MARINAS/BOATYARDS AND HOSPITALITY ON THEIR WATERFRONT.
Love this place. The town in close. The Marina staff has been great. The launch service is a big help. They do have a dinghy dock. They have a nice courtesy that you can sign up for to get groceries or whatever. We took a mooring. Ours was closest to the opening of the harbor. A little bouncy. Certainly not their fault. There’s a little beach area. Our boat is a 43’ sailboat. Old boat. Not sure if I would want to go on the docks. It’s a tight fit in my opinion. They do raft up boats on docks too. You have to specifically say you don’t, or they assume you do. There’s a boatworks in town also. Really helpful staff.
A first class operation, can't wait to return. Very clean and staff unfailingly polite, helpful, and professional.
These people are awesome! Not only are the people over the top friendly and helpful, the facilities are head and shoulders over any other marina on the east coast. I arrived in Camden with engine problems and they went above and beyond to help me out and get on my way. They rate 10 stars!
This is the nicest marina I’ve visited on the east coast of the US. Full services, gracious staff attitude, very clean and modern air conditioned restrooms and showers and laundry rooms. Free courtesy car in good condition. I’d give it 6 stars if I could.
First class facilities at a very reasonable price (for a mooring). Helpful, friendly staff. Beautiful, fun town. Can be a bit rolly in the harbor but that’s not LM’s fault!
Great floating dock with very friendly staff. The amenities are very nice; showers, laundry, heads and lounge area. All where very clean and secure. The restraints right next to their marina are fantastic and the area is perfect. We did not have any power issues (100 amp Single Phase) during our stay and the water shore water was very clean, did not discolor our sediment filter. The fairway in is a little narrow. I think a security call when coming in or out would be advised if you are a larger vessel.
A superb operation, well managed, new facilities are very inviting. Would be 5 stars if the mooring field that we were placed in was within a no wake zone. Can’t imagine that there have never been injuries or boats damaged by wakes. The no wake zone should start at a line drawn between Curtis Island and the northeast passage, or shrink the mooring field to within the existing no wake zone.
Excellent service and stay. Stayed on the service dock but it was a great spot with full view of the Camden yacht club across the way and all the coming and going on the harbor. The new ‘village’ is great. Plus Easy walk to town, or launch.
Wow! Beautiful showers/amenities, tons of restaurants within walking distance. We bicycled to Rockport, we hiked Mount Battie, we had great meals within walking distance. Used the launch service as well as our dinghy. Had a great time in Camden!
Excellent stay! Lots to do in Camden and just off the docks. Very nice bathrooms, showers, laundry and lounge. Only down side was our boat was tripping the dock-side GFI so we weren't able to get power. Luckily we have plenty of solar power so we were OK. Would recommend Lyman-Morse to anyone traveling to Camden!
The new facilities are wonderful. The dock master, Charlie, and the rest of the crew were very helpful and welcoming for our visit.
Wonderful accommodations, like a 5 star resort but reasonably priced. Nice people too, can't beat it!
The Lyman-Morse facility is absolutely gorgeous. The guest showers are equivalent to a five-star hotel. The staff is friendly and will tell you exactly what you want to hear with a smile. The restaurants on the premises are first class and Camden is a wonderful place to visit. My problems arose concerning the service which was supposed to have been performed on my boat. I purchased the boat from the brokerage located at Lyman-Morse. I would rate this interaction as five-stars. The boat had been kept at Lyman-Morse for several years before I purchased it and as such, Lyman-Morse did the fall decommissioning and spring commissioning. I paid for a cycle of commissioning myself as I had the boat launched to do a sea trial before I purchased it. I was concerned about the zincs located on the engines and I was assured many times that they had been replaced during decommissioning each year. After my spring sea trial, I checked the zincs myself and found that they were non-existent. I gathered up what was left of them and showed them to Tom, the service manager, who is an extremely likeable fellow and he was shocked. I went to Hamilton Marine that day and replaced all of the zincs myself. I wanted to paint the bottom of the boat. I would normally do this myself, but the yard would not let me use a DA sander with a vacuum attachment that I own. I did not argue the point and I had Lyman-Morse paint it. The written estimate stated that the bottom would be sanded and prepped for paint and then painted. Unfortunately, there was zero prep-work done on the boat before it was painted. I know this because the boat did not get painted in one day and I came up over a weekend and saw that the bottom had not been touched with sandpaper at all. There was a patch of loose paint that could be wiped off with your hand and this had just been painted over. This was very disappointing and when I pointed it out, Lyman-Morse deducted a whole $340.00! What a joke. I will say, whoever applied the paint did a first rate job, probably better than what I could do myself. The last issue that I had was I noticed that water was accumulating in the bilge during the sea trial. I pointed this out to the service technician that was conducting the trial. He stated that it was probably coming from a loose deck drain connection. I looked into this right after the sea trial myself and the leak was coming from my depth sounder transducer. To make matters worse, the bilge pump float switch was not functional. I replace the switch myself that day. I will have to live with the leak this season as I don't want to pay to have the boat pulled again. You can judge for yourself whether this is the type service that you would accept. Personally, I just paid my bill and I am glad to be out of Lyman-Morse Marina.
Lyman-Morse Camden is simply what a great marina should be. Great staff who cares, great docks and moorings and at one of are great towns and harbor on the East Coast. Add to that two new fabulous restaurants and quick launches to town or your boat ... Not much better.
Really disappointing. I reserved and paid for dock space in March for my stay in July. On arrival I was required to raft onto another boat and climb through their cockpit to get to the dock. No mention was made of the rafting requirement until I arrived and there was no refund for my pre-payment for a dockside location. In addition, there was no ice available.
This is a five star stop. All new facilities great crew High quality repair shop and well trained people. Good fuel prices!!!! Couldn’t be better
As always, a great stay with Lyman Morse in Camden. Love the new waterfront setup with restaurants and amenities.
Great stay at LM, staff friendly and new facilities will be excellent.
Very nice and friendly people, beautiful and convenient showers, and a gorgeous town. Well worth the $50 mooring fee!
Great location/facilities. Staff could not have been more pleasant.
Outstanding. camden is one of our favorite spots. Facilities are amazing. Thank you
Awesome stay in Camden to start the season. Nancy and Charlie and the entire staff were great, and we absolutely loved spending a few nights in their shoreside “crew quarters” guest rooms - amazing location and brand new facilities, really top notch! Can’t get much better for an early-season cruise, we’ll definitely be back!
My experience at Lyman-Morse was nothing short of spectacular. The entire team of dockside staff went above and beyond to accommodate me, look out for me, and make my stay wonderful. This team embodies the reason sailing on the Coast of Maine is so special.
Professional and friendly staff. Great floating docks with reliable shore power. Nice location.
We love this facility. From what we can tell mostly women ran💪👏, clean, safe and convenient to downtown. The warf is lovely and welcomi⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
New facility is set up nicely. Staff was professional and acomodating. Camden is a must see Windjamming jewel.
Fantastic marina. Great facilities and amazing dock service.
The staff at Lyman Morse in Camden are great and the facilities are first class. Unfortunately, unless you’re in the inner harbor, the roll is terribly uncomfortable. And $7 per foot for a dock space is ridiculous.
Lyman-Morse is a wonderful marina! We stayed on a ball for three nights. The facilities (bathrooms, showers, laundry) are some of the nicest I've seen in a marina. They have a large dinghy dock, so we never had trouble tying up our dinghy to go into town.
The courtesy and friendliness of staff at this marina is very special. Camden is a great place to visit, only enhanced by this wonderful marina. You won’t be disappointed! Came back for another stay and Cynthia and her crew were absolutely fabulous, nothing was a bother and the facilities leave no room for improvement. Another wonderful stay, all because of extremely friendly and professional staff.
All really good no problems at all nice restaurants on the dock excellent.
Very nice facilities and very nice staff in the dock house and on the docks.
Excellent! Terrific Staff. Great launch service. Loved Camden!
Five Stars every year and it keeps getting better. The renovations look great and the restaurants are excellent. Best thing though are the people that work there.
LM staff are very good, we mechanical problems coming in and they responded with a protection launch. Facilities will be great once they are open but look great. The outer harbor moorings are a little rolly due to ocean exposure. Boat is always sideways to the ocean swell. Suggest inner moorings Overall a good stay beautiful harbor We will be back
Loved everything about Camden & the service/ facilities at Lyman Morse. The staff was friendly, responsive & professional. Perfect.
Lyman Morse - great, helpful, do anything for you staff. Very friendly. Facilities excellent.
Great facilities, and a very accommodating and friendly staff.
Great! Love this Marina. Facilities, staff and location to town make it a good stay, anytime.
L-M rocks. The new facilities are stellar. Love the rooftop bar, restaurant and distillery. And the bathrooms and laundry are clean and very nice. And Camden is such a wonderful place. Looking forward to the next visit.’
Great service, friendly people from the launch staff to your dock staff. A special thank you to Tasha for helping to locate a part. Good luck on the moving.
Beautiful facility being built in an idyllic harbor. Very friendly staff- we’d definitely return!
Wonderful location, very courteous staff. Charlie, Nancy, Celia, and all the others offer a warm welcome. Beautiful new building with laundry and modern shower facilities. However… if you plan on friends visiting, parking (even WAY out back in a dirt lot) is a whopping $25 per DAY! After staying here for most of July we took a friend cruising for four days and got that $100 extra fee as a “thank you”.
The amenities at this marina are head and shoulders above anything previously encountered on the East Coast. Sets a new standard for marinas which hopefully will be followed by others. Bathrooms and showers at a level one would expect at a four or five star hotel.
Incredibly accommodating with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Their new facility is gorgeous and Camden is a beautiful town with lots to do.
So far the best marina we were in. Super friendly staff, well informed, and very helpful. The marina has some remodel going on. But the bathroom and the facilities are state of the art. In center of Camden. Easy access to town and well protected . We stayed on floating docs, very convenient and good for sleeping ;definitely on the list to revisit
Staff is wonderful, as always. New buildings are almost complete - new restrooms are open and luxurious, with new washers and driers. Restaurants will be open within weeks.
Wonderful service, the views cannot be beat. Right in the heart of Camden!
Excellent, helpful staff. Perfect location for visiting Camden. They have temporary facilities because of a fire, so I can’t rate the amenities. I will be back!
Fast response to reservation request and great communication throughout our stay. Launch service and courtesy car are included with your mooring ball fee. I will stay with them anytime I am in Camden.
We stayed at Lyman-Morse 3 nights on a recent trip to Maine. (two nights on our first leg, and one night on our return). Charlie and the whole crew were so responsive and helpful and we had three comfortable nights in beautiful Camden. Despite the construction, they had everything we needed. It will be even better when the new facilities are ready. Thank you Lyman-Morse!!!
Staff and crew were excellent as always. Facility is under construction so not up to their normal standards.
Good strong mooring painters, nice dingy dock, harbor is a bit rolly however
Courteous, convenient, professional. All was great, even under construction!
Camden is a cute little town. Lyman Morse is a nice stop over even though they are running with portable facilities until their renovations are complete. Nice to have the launch service to get you into the marina or town. Showers in the portable facilities are clean and adequate. Will look forward to returning next year.
The staff was friendly and professional, and very helpful. The Marina is in walking distance to the downtown and waterfalls.
Convenient, friendly, in beautiful Camden Harbor. Hope to be back.
Very friendly staff - marina facilities are currently rebuilt - but prime dock space, friendly staff and temporary bathroom/shower facilities worked well - always a highlight on our annual summer cruise.
The nicest crew of any marina we have stayed in, even while being among the busiest! They are staffed up, flexible, and accommodating. Even when just renting a mooring. Can’t wait to go back.
Friendly service. Very accommodating during renovations.
Great location, easy access to town. Very nice staff, ready to assist. Would definitely stay again.
From Dockmasters Nancy Rowe and Charlie Foote, Cecilia driving the launch, Harbormasters Steve and Sarah, and a variety of deckhands, our stay was lights out. Everyone was thoughtful, friendly, and kind. Honestly can’t wait to go back.
Thank you Nancy for directing us to our inner harbor float during late afternoon traffic. Facilities are great even with ongoing construction.
Well organized dock crew brought us to our reserved dock space with amenities readily accessible. Front row seat view of Camden harbor activity.
We had a great time. Staff was very helpful and accommodating.
Great location on the inner harbor floats. One night was a little rolly due to the direction of the swell outside the harbor, but the other 2 nights were calm. Be prepared to hear the 8 AM cannon fire from the yacht club close by if you are a late sleeper. Camden is a special town. Wonderful restaurants, shops and people.
Great marina - the staff were extremely helpful and met all of our needs. We went to the fuel dock before going to our mooring ball - got fuel, pumped out, and filled water tanks - all with help from a very friendly staff person. The use of the courtesy car was great - for provisioning and an errand to Hamilton Marine. The LM Ships Store was also helpful with a request we had. The launch service was great. Per previous reports, the recent fire caused them to not have shower facilities or laundry - but that was okay. Camden was a terrific place to explore. We need up staying another night. Also as previously reported, the mooring field / harbor was a bit rolly, but that is a nor something the marina can control. We will definitely come back here.
Very friendly and helpful staff. We were on a mooring and used our own dinghy but stopped for fuel, pump out, water and ice. Two dockhands plus other friendly folks about. Very good about masks. Professional.
Amazing mooring lines that were long and thick. Made us feel very comfortable on the mooring even though we are a 150,000 lb boat. We were able to attach the mooring line right to our cleat instead of needing to attach another line to lengthen it. Dinghy dock close by, although it always was very full we were able to get a spot. Easy trash and cardboard recycling. We had mail sent to them and easily picked it up even on a weekend. Very close to town, maybe a 5 minute walk and close to mount Battie for some hiking.
Loud construction for 2 whole days right next to the boat. A fire 2 months ago shut down the Captains lounge, laundry, nearby rest rooms, nearby showers, ships store, restaurant. All things considered don’t feel it was worth the price.
Everyone we met went out of their way to help us enjoy our stay. Great place and wonderful people.
Unfortunately Lyman Morse lost their showers & guest lounge to a fire recently. However this is still one of our favorite stops.
Staff are terrific, very friendly and helpful. Kim is great. Definitely come back.
Bad experience. Coming into harbor guy on channel 71 could not verbalize where our mooring bouy was located?? When we went to the marina office found out oh by the way we had a fire 2 weeks ago that destroyed our bathrooms, showers and laundry but you are welcome to our 2 portapoties! Walked to town = a mlle for dinner and called for water taxi back to their marina. No reply so walked to marina and took our dinghy back to the boat. Got a call back just as we boarded with excuses blaming us for not calling on channel 71. I don’t know about you but I do not take my VHF radio to shore or dinner. Avoid if you want descent service and honesty about their Services. Also put us at far end of mooring field with bad swells all night when they had lots of mooring space closer in where it was much quieter. They really didn’t give a damn if you were comfortable or had a good stay just whined about how bad this summer was with the fire and the virus. Worst hospitality on the ME coast so far!!
They went above and beyond to service my boat (VERY competent staff) and make my stay spectacular (including a loaner car for provisioning.) This is a great marina..
The Lyman-Morse folks did what they needed to and were cordial. No complaints. The harbor was rolly but that’s not their fault.
I always feel like the marina itself and the destination should have two separate ratings. In this case they’d both be 5 stars. Lyman-Morse provides a great place to stay in Camden. The inner harbor floats put you right in the middle of all the schooner activity as well as being close to downtown. The free launch service is great, though it stopped running at 3:30 PM after Labor Day. The heads showers and laundry room ashore are immaculate. The courtesy car made a trip to Hannaford’s for groceries very easy. Camden itself is a wonderful place to visit - in fact we extended our stay to enjoy more of it. There are lots of good restaurants (Marriner’s serves a great breakfast). The library is out of this world in terms of atmosphere and architecture - including the park and amphitheater giving great views of the harbor. We enjoyed the free walking tour on Friday afternoon. We also hiked/climbed to the summit of Mount Battie which provided unexcelled views of Penobscot Bay and the islands. We love Camden and will be back for another extended stay next year.
Phenomenal marina. Every dock hand I encountered was friendly and helpful. They even let me stay a little past check out because they weren’t overly busy and we were enjoying town. Great spot and hope to be back next summer!
Excellent.... the dock facilities were great and the Dock Hand Service was top notch!
Great mooring. Friendly service. Answered call on VHF 71 immediately. Free launch service. Wonderful stay.
Journey's end has great facilities and a really attentive staff. complimentary launch makes it easy to get right downtown
Always a great stay - excellent facilities - friendly staff- easy walk to town - restaurant right on dock Rhumb Line fun spot .
Absolutely incredible professional and friendly service. Beautiful location and very nice amenities - showers, laundry etc. Could not have been treated better!
The entire staff was friendly and helpful in every regard. The launch service is included in your morning fee and is both timely and again friendly. Highly recommend this marina
Friendly, helpful staff. Good restaurant and facilities. Launch service was reliable.
AWESOME place....Best in all of Maine....SOOOOO.....Please don't book it so there will be plenty of room for US next year!!!!
Top notch marina with an extremely friendly and helpful staff. I couldn’t have enjoyed it more!
We were on a mooring yet we were treated just as well as if we were spending much more money on a dock. They have a really nice gathering area with great patio furniture, outdoor fireplaces and a great view. The lounge area and restrooms were superb and they even supply you with great smelling shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The water was hot and the water pressure was terrific. We got to use a courtesy vehicle to stock up on groceries at the nearby Hannafords and everyone was professional, kind, and friendly. And Camden is awesome!
One of the most beautiful harbors in Maine. The staff here is right on top of things, very professional and helpful in anyway they can be. I can't recommend them high enough.
Great location and great service by the marina staff. Charlie was of great help and always willing to assist with a smile. Highly recommended.
Great showers and facilities. Friendly and helpful dock hands and staff. Short walk to town on the other side of the harbor or the launch will take you over. We were on the dock face float, day-trip schooners and plenty of other boats passing by regularly keeps it interesting but don't expect privacy. It's a working boat yard too, so if you're expecting to sleep in, you might be woken by the travel lift starting up. Didn't worry us, we enjoyed watching the activities when we were on board. Very sheltered and quiet, in the inner harbor so makes for a good night's sleep.
