Just great people, a beautiful harbor, and a quaint town. Could not have been easier or better. The launch master that ferries us from the mooring balls to the marina is fantastics, and they all know how to be efficient and very accommodating.
A fabulous place to stay. Staff are first-rate, and the service is phenomenal. If only the Ferry to Manhattan would run on weekendsā¦ but that is small potatoes, considering.
The marina itself was great. What was concerning was the way the gate to the dock (E dock) would not close all the way and was hard to get open when it was closed. Because the gate would not latch effectively, non-boat owners walked the dock. There was even a case of people walking onto a large yacht though they did not belong. This did not go over well with the yacht owners.
Very quiet and calm place to moor. The only thing that could be improved is communication. The club does not use VHF, and we had to call several times to get someone to answer and tell us where our slip was. That is not ideal at all. However, everything else was good!
This was the most pleasant marina stay we have had. The staff is always accessible, they go more than an extra mile, and I cannot imagine a better place to stay while visiting NYC. Seriously, a top-notch experience. Bravo and well done!!
Lovely marina with very nice folks. The onsite restaurant was fantastic. No floating docks, but that is the only negative, and I am sure that probably cost prohibitive.
The greeting by Seth was wonderful and so helpful. The marina is extremely well protected, and you cannot go wrong choosing this marina for your next boat outing.
