We stay at Lyman-Morse every year during the Camden Classic Cup Regatta. Without fail they bend over backwards to make sure the regatta participants have a first class experience. In our case, it also meant they were ready to launch our boat at 7:00 AM to allow us to get it rigged before the tent people came to set up for the resceptions.
This is a lovely marina nestled among the rock islands of southern Conanicut Harbor. It is very protected and among the more beautiful place to moor in the lower bay. The people who work there are very friendly and helpful. We had a great stay (we are repeat visitors) ands do not hesitate recommending this yard. I am sure we will be back there again. Five stars.
This was my second stay at Pope's Island Marina. It is a very convenient place, with friendly staff and close proximity to town. It also has a Dunkin; Donuts across the street to get me going in the morning. I'll be happy to stay here again in the future.
It was a busy afternoon with a lot of boats arriving for mooring reservations. They were so organized - we only had to call from the lighthouse and we were immediately given our mooring assignment. It was very impressive how they processed so many arrivals.
The Marina is tucked well into Cuttyhunk Harbor, making it a very quiet location. The pier we were assigned was also where one could get food from several vendors. We had a lobster roll because we weren't very hungry but the full lobster dinner tempted us. There are also stalls where one can book fishing and other excursions. The harbormaster saw us approaching and had someone to help with the lines as we arrived. All in all a wonderful experience.l
The Shipyard is a major yachting facility for a very good reason. Everyone is skilled, pleasant and helpful. The facilities are spacious and well run. Highly recommend.
I have stored my boat at Safe Harbor Cove Haven off season for about ten years. Recently the JAZZ FISH needed some seasonal work done and I came in the night before so I would not be time pressed the next morning. Before arriving I received instructions from Ken that I should bring the boat directly to the work pit so work could begin the next morning without delay. When I arrived help was waiting for me at the dock. The next morning the work was done and I was off. Here's the great thing about this yard. Nothing seems to bother them. No matter what I have needed in previous years, or needed this time, I was always greeted with a "can do" response and then quietly and competently it got done. This is a first class yard with great people who sincerely want to help us enjoy our sport. I recommend them with enthusiasm.
