The docks are old and the storm reeked havoc on some of them. They took us and put us on a dock that survived. Glad to have the tie up.
Good sturdy docks. Clean restrooms. It was a one night stay, so that's all we experienced. Would stay here again.
The marina was good. Docks are sturdy, just not enough cleats for the boats that should fit on the T-heads. There was only one employee on site when we showed up, and with the wind blowing around 15-20 mph, really needed more hands to get us tied up efficiently. Restroom AC was broken, so it was just a fan. When we left, no one had shown up at the office (around 9:00 AM on a Tuesday). Not sure what's going on with that. With all that was not quite right, I'd still come back. It's a nice place to stay when in the Melbourne area.
Great marina. Dock hands were helpful getting boat in slip and tied up. All the facilities were clean and worked well. Service department also a big plus, as is the shuttle service and location. Will definitely think about staying here again should we pass by.
The marina and all it's employees are great. Had some stuff delivered prior to arrival and Anita and David took care of my stuff with kid gloves, and it was all there waiting for me when I got there. Dock hands were very helpful getting boat tied up, even went on boat next to our slip to throw a line around the piling for our bow line (we were much shorter than the piling took into account for). Restrooms were clean and functional and accessible. Docks were sturdy floating docks. However, the restaurant has taken over the pool. There's a sign that says the pool is for registered marina guests only, but there were others (a family of about 6 comes to mind) that also used the pool. Additionally, the restaurant is now making the rules for the pool. Since they are connected, you cannot bring any food or drinks from the boat to the pool. It all has to come from the restaurant. If the marina is going to have a pool for their guests, they need to keep the restaurant out the running of it. This is not the case at this location. They lose 2 stars for that, but the marina itself should get 5 stars.
Docks are nice and sturdy. Good crew helped us get tied up in a wind that was not kind for docking. However, the laundry room and restrooms have no AC. And the ice machine in the laundry room makes it 100 degrees + in that room. Fans in the restrooms probably help, but if you took a shower, you'd be sweating again by the time you got dried off!! Good place for a storm refuge, but not a place to visit for any extended period of time.
Very nice well run marina. Wifi was strong. Restrooms/showers clean and spacious. Floating docks in like new condition. Location was within walking distance of town and several restaurants. Free ice! Courtesy car! Ample dock carts for use to get stuff down to boat. Easy to access from ICW as long as you can get through the confusing day markers in Beaufort harbor. If there were 6 stars, they'd get that rating. Definitely will look to stay here again.
Good marina with helpful dock hands, Restrooms are single hole facilities, but are clean, and there's and "extra" bathroom should one be occupied. Most of the boat traffic obeys the "no wake zone", however some don't and it gets a little bouncy on the outer face dock where they put transients. They did put us on the inside of that dock so the waves were somewhat diminished. Rusty Hooks is a good restaurant. Didn't get to try Joseph's. Only down side is it's distance from downtown Southport.
This is a great marina. Lotsa liveaboards with a lotta local knowledge. Restrooms/showers are clean and in great shape. And they have a great happy hour MWF. We will definitely be back.
As all Safe Harbor marinas I've stayed cat lately, it was a little pricey, but a very good Marina. Restrooms, showers and laundry are top notch. Fitness also very nice. Floating docks all in good shape. Staff was friendly and helpful.
