I was going back-and-forth on whether to leave three stars four stars or five stars. Let me tell you why I chose four stars. This marina has always been great to me and I’ve always enjoyed my stay there. The restaurant and food is fantastic. The whole feeling at this Marina is a positive one. The restaurant and food is fantastic. The whole feeling at this marina is a positive one. They need to figure out their Internet, because the last several years I’ve gone there the Internet connection is so horrible. I couldn’t even watch a movie on TV when we were in bed at night, and the only other thing that I would suggest for them to do very nicely is put garbage cans near the marina. Yes, I know you have to have staff empty them, but we have to haul all garbage pretty far away to get to the dumpster. Besides that we love this place and we will be back.
I really don’t want to leave a positive review! The main reason is that I don’t want to ever not be able to get a transient slip here. When I tell you Sam and his crew treated us like we have been members for 20 years, I am not lying. The staff, the service, other boaters all get 10 stars for there professionalism, there kindness and most of all there treatment of us and our family. Thank you Sam and thank you Brooklyn One Marina. WHO IS THIS DOCK MASTER STEVE? WHO HIRED HIM? Well, he is definitely the best out there. He was there when we pulled in, he was always asking how we are doing, he took our garbage to the dumpster, he was the shopkeeper, the bartender and he was there when we left. I will come back to Sailers Haven, just because of how well we were treated and cared for. I've been to dozens of marinas and never had a dockmaster as great as Steve. Thank you, Sir. The new docks were great. The staff are all kids and no experience but I guess that’s all they can afford. The restaurant had no a/c and no fans. So impossible to eat there. Also $15 drinks! I do t think so! When my boat is 100 feet away stocked with alcohol I am going there before spending $15 for a drink. They do have a happy hour between four and six. But also extremely hot underneath the awning with no fans so I’m not going to sit at the bar whether it be inside or out and sweat my albutt off and spend $15 a drink. This will never last whoever took over this restaurant. Went to go get coffee this morning at the small café and was sweating my butt off. I sujested an umbrella for the people that are waiting. So we will see. The beach was beautiful and the sunsets are incredible . I will be back but would love to use the restaurant maybe the owner will read these reviews and do something about it if not I really do believe this will never last for them.
