Fore Points Marina graciously accommodates vessels of all sizes with first class hospitality and full-service amenities. Nestled in a protected safe harbor, you will be surrounded by scenic Casco Bay and just steps away from the Old Port’s exciting culinary scene, boutique shops, and activities. The gated marina is professionally staffed at all times providing you and your crew with any essential or luxury desired to make your short or extended stay delightful!
Excellent facility. Will stay again in the future.
We are liveaboards on a 42 ft catamaran and spent almost a week at Fore Points Marina. We found the staff to be extremely service-oriented and hospitable, the brand new dock to be ample and beautifully appointed, and the location ideal. We loved that while there, we were able to enjoy unobstructed views of the harbor and easy walking access to all the amazing things downtown Portland has to offer (without the noise and crowds). Another bonus is the delicious food truck, Evo, right there on site. Note: at the time of our stay, they did not have laundry machines on site but had plans for them to be installed soon. The marina is brand new and no doubt will only improve with time. We will be back soon!
Fore Points is only 2 years old so everything is brand new. The heads/showers are in temporary buildings but are very nice. The docks are wide and the cleats are movable so they can place them anywhere you want. The staff is extremely friendly helpful and attentive. Katherine and Eric are very hands on and go out of their way to make the experience at Fore Points a positive one. There is a bike/running path right outside the marina which provides a nice way to stroll to town. We spent a week at the marina during a tropical storm and found the docks to be very stable. The staff was available ahead of the storm to assist with additional lines/cleats. Lastly this marina is very quiet. We chose this spot vs. the marina in the heart of Portland because it's just far enough away from the buzz but close enough to walk when we wanted to partake in the fun. I highly recommend Fore Points!
Nice new marina that is still under construction but all the basics are in. No fuel or pumpout as of 8/5/20. Easy walk to downtown and a 2.5 mile bike ride to three grocery stores.
Awesome place - great staff - plenty of room - new amenities
Fore Points' docks are top notch! Probably the best in the state. It's super calm within the concrete docks. The staff here are very helpful and make the stay a pleasant one. You can tell they appreciate their customers. Plus, you can't beat the location being a short walk to Old Port, Portland!
Very exciting to have Fore Points Marina serving Portland Harbor! The staff (both office and dock) were very welcoming and helpful. The wave attenuators offer a smooth stay while docked at the marina. This was the perfect place to enjoy happy hour and also dock for the day while exploring the Old Port.
I can’t say enough amazing things about Fore Points. They care about the overall guest experience from the time you book your first slip to the time you are ready to come back. They actively look for the best places for you to visit during your stay in Portland and welcome you as if you are family. For anyone looking for an adventure for your home away from home, look no further!
The staff was nice. The docks are great. A short 15 minute walk to downtown on a paved walking and bike path by the water. Once they get the regular buildings up, this is the place to stay.
This marina is rather new. It has the potential to be a 5-star marina, but is still suffering from some start-up pains. The staff is top-notch. They are there to help and their dedication to customer service is abundantly clear. However, there were regular electrical problems during my 10 day stay. This didn't directly affect me as my electrical use is minimal, but do check in with the marina to see if they have rectified their situation. (pun intended) The bathroom was nice, but had septic service and would occasionally smell between pump-outs. They were still in the process of adding fencing, painting buildings, security, electricity, etc. Next summer, this will likely be a 5-star facility. They are really trying and the staff is super helpful and friendly. Thanks for a great stay!
To provide a review at this time would not do justice for Forepoints. The marina is just too new but has great potential for future development. During our stay, the electric was sporadic. The fuel pumps were inoperable. Not even all the floating dock boards were screwed down. The club facilities consisted of trailers and tents. The assistants were very helpful and courteous. Looking further to staying here again as it has the potential to be a high class marina.
Marina is still a work in progress. People great, docks are new, power is coming on line. Facilities are being built. Should be an awesome place when done.
Charged for Electric when there was none for our two night stay. Transformer kept on tripping on the dock.
