VHF 9- Town Of Oyster Bay Pump Out Boat VHF 71- Oyster Bay Marine Center Launch
Awesome dock staff.
Enjoyed our stay. Great launch service and hours. Friendly staff. Will return.
Had a great stay on a mooring in Oyster Bay. The staff and launch drivers will all very helpful and prompt. I just wish the mooring wasn't so expensive and wonder why the length of the boat impacts the rate.
Very nice marina and super launch service.
Easy in/out, top notch staff.
Mooring lines Are very dirty Mooring field is large so the launch May take Longe than experter. Launch drivers very nice and it is impression that the launch rund til 12:00 am on Saturday night. Did not find or use the facilities. Pricy for what you get $2/ft
Efficient and great dock service. Great young staff.
Great location! Super friendly staff. Highly recommend!
Great stay and great staff! Thank you!
Great location and service
Excellent service great staff
The mooring and launch drivers were very good. Used the self serve pump out station situated on a floating dock which worked out well. Ship store was poor but close the town so not needed. Showers are to be avoided as they are generally unlocked.
First time at Oyster Bay. The launch drivers were great, friendly and prompt. The village was interesting. Enjoyable dinner at Wild Honey.
Great location and staff. Well done OBMC.
Super easy Staff was friendly and helpful
Good visit. Mooring was very well maintained. Launch service is excellent and very convenient. Looking forward to our next visit.
Great marina. I come across the Sound from Greenwich CT to meet friends on LI and moor at Oyster Bay Marine frequently. Call in to channel 71, they assign me a mooring and send launch. Very easy process.
Always a great place to visit. Friendly employees, prompt tender service and wonderful views. Easy mooring field to navigate.
Easy to get to and friendly staff who are very professional
Always great to stay here. Friendly and helpful team - every time!
This marina monitors VHF channel 71, not 79 as is listed on your site. Please correct this error ASAP. Our docking was delayed quite significantly because we did not know how to get in touch with the marina. Thank you.
We stayed three nights on a mooring buoy and it was lovely. Great launch service, friendly staff and only a 10 minute walk away from Oyster Bay town. Very picturesque bay to stay in. Would certainly recommend.
Great place to enjoy quite mooring and great launch service. Wonderful park right by.
Great location. Awesome views
This was our first time in Oyster Bay. The staff did a poor job communicating mooring location, mooring ball numbers. Boats would call the marina with no or long response times. The harbor was nice and it was nice to have a launch service.
Great location. Friendly staff.
The cost for a transient mooring is outrageous.
We stayed on one of the Oyster Bay Marine Center moorings. The launch service is very efficient, and we never had to wait very long for one of their two launches to arrive. Will stay there again
Great destination for live music
The mooring was comfortable and not too tight, Launch service was excellent. The OBMC does not have a restaurant with table service.. They have a food truck next to the Cooper Bluff bar. This weekend they had live bands.
The team at Oyster Bay is super professional and very helpful.
We have been here before. $80.00 for single night in the off-season to grab a mooring ball is ridiculously high. Dock service is fine. They have a trailer bathroom facility set up which works, however the existing bathrooms were still open and utterly disgusting and filled with waste.
Nice marina in a wonderful location. Only there about 18 hours so didn’t enjoy everything they offer. Maybe next time.
Friendly staff. Easy walk from marina to various restaurant options.
A lovely picturesque location, a short walk to the town, helpful staff.
Great place to stop in a storm. They were kind enough to bring ice out to the mooring in wicked weather.
Nice spot, our second time there. Launch Service is pleasant and prompt. Walking distance to a very nice park area, and also to good restaurants in town. Did not try the restaurant on the dock.
Always nice. Always protected. Great spot. Great service- launch service especially.
It was great! Had a real real good time!
Beautiful spot. Favorite
Nice mooring, great launch service. Interesting floating dock for pumpout. For such a large mooring field, consider emailing an overhead picture with mooring locations circled. We've never been here before so it was a bit of a hunt to find the mooring. Beautiful spot to be in.
Adam was very friendly and helpful.
Everyone there was super helpful and polite.
Excellent service on the mooring, and Cooper Bluff is a very casual fun bar and restaurant
Quiet mooring. Great launch service.
Great experience and extremely accommodating staff.
Very nice. Liked the bar and restaurant.
The launch service was very good. Some times it is too fast against the wind and chops so you can get wet before reaching the dock. Great location and restaurants nearby. We were surprised that in the shower still no hooks or seats so there is no place to put your close on when you take a shower. It is a real challenge..
Tinder staff was friendly and quick to pickup. Guided us to the transit mooring. Cove well protected from the severe thunderstorm that rolled in. Look forward to our next visit! ⛵️ From Telestar 28
Great location and dock staff
Without a doubt, one of the nicest experiences on the water. Staying on a morning morning ball is a great way to enhance your experience. They have an awesome water launch service that runs till 12 o’clock every night. Great little bar on site with fire pits, cocktails and snacks.
Well done all around, as always. Prompt, efficient, courteous service.
Nice weekend visit. Band at Cooper Bluff was entertaining
All good…………………..,,,,,,,
The competent and personable launch operators are the highlight of the stay.
Launch service was perfect, great experience. Unfortunately, Cooper Bluff was closed on this Saturday afternoon (no reason given, no signs posted). Traveled across the Sound to visit, disappointed they were closed and gave no warning on Dockwa or other media.
Great Stay on the mooring Recommend coming up with a better method for retrieving the mooring line Marina staff were very friendly
Great location in a beautiful harbor. Large mooring field and finding the one assigned may take time but the team monitors VHF 71 and helps direct. Launch service and shore amenities are great. We hope to be back again. Thank you to the staff at OBMC.
The Mooring field is huge and probably laid out very systematically. The mooring ball was dirty and you could not see the number on it. So it took a couple of minutes to find. The Tender operator and staff were great!!
Had a great stay. Everyone was very nice snd helpful!
Timely and competent launch service. Easy access to the village center
Everything was great, launch operator came quickly, love Cooper Bluff and all was well. We just had a hard time finding the mooring but that was part us.
Great and helpful dock hands!
Very Clean bathroom and showers. Very prompt launch service. Could use some hooks in the shower are to hang clothes
great place, lot of fun, very friendly and helpful. But the showers were not available, which they should have made us aware of. Otherwise 5 star
Excellent time. everyone was very helpful
Convenient moorings and tender service.
Excellent stay at OBMC! Tenders were accommodating, friendly.
Outstanding launch service! Responsive, professional, excellent boat handling skills
It is always a pleasure to go there. Extremely friendly staff and wonderful service all the way around.
They're difficult to communicate with. Didn't answer their phone 9, 10, 11am one day and voice mail full. Sent a note with my Dockwa request and never got s response. Left a voice message another day and they never returned the call even though I reminded them on the radio that I left a voice message and to please call me. Another marina run by 20yr olds. No dinghy dock and thought my request was unusual. They couldn't accommodate a second night of mooring so we had to anchor off. Disappointing.
Great staff and easy launch service.
Quick service and lovely views in the bay
Always enjoy our stays here. We enjoy the live music onshore. The staff is always supportive and flexible.
Great! We enjoyed our time at Coopers Bluff
We only used the launch service included with the mooring. Launches were clean, drivers were friendly, they were always timely.
Very busy but still very helpful and friendly.
Good: the launch service was fast and courteous, the mooring jewelry was solid, cute town (“wild honey” lunch was incredible), they treated us right with a refund because showers were not operational (under renovation). Not as good: lots of crossing boat wakes including good sized launch wakes, fairly large harbor meant good sized chip in wind. All in all great.
Friendly helpful crew, nice big gas dock with 5 pumps. Gassed up and went to our mooring. Shuttle service was very quick. Short 5 minute walk into town with great restaurants and Carvel for the kids. Pretty evening sunsets. A gem.
Difficult to find the mooring first time being there, They were responsive on the radio tho.
Normally a great place to stay. However, the bathrooms were disgusting.
Nice mooring location, great weather and a terrific launch operator.
Fast, prompt, help! excellent staff! Will come here again
Helpful staff, nice restaurant on site.
Very nice stay. Short walk into town for restaurants and large park for walking, taking in the sights. Launch service was excellent.
Staff very helpful. Mooring was easy. Thx!
Great place. The mooring was easy and the launch was always responsive and really prompt. All of staff were professional and helpful, and dog friendly. Definitely will stay again.
Tenders were great. Hail channel 71
Outstanding Customer Service!!
The moorings are in good condition and the launch service was excellent
Easy. Great communication when arriving and receiving mooring assignment. Tender quick and easy. Good base location for visiting Oyster Bay.
We have always enjoyed Oyster Bay Marine Center but hadn't been back in a while. It remains a great spot only disappointment is that the small supermarket/deli within walking distance of the Marine Center is closed and getting a lot of supplies means a cab ride. One very nice feature is the proximity to the train station if you need to pop into NYC for a day. The launch operators are especially nice and helpful.
Although tender service was efficient, the last launch on Saturday night of Memorial Day weekend was 9 PM instead of the usual 11pm. If we hadn’t asked, we would not have been able to get back to boat. Had to rush through dinner in OB.
Very professional, friendly and corteous youngsters manning dock and launch. Charlie is outstanding. Cannot give 5 stars because the only two shower stalls need to be entirely redone.
Friendly people. Fast launch service. Only problem was they don’t answer the phone.
Terrible, shuttle to and from boat mooring took over a 1/2 hour and to take it back to the boat was even longer and our mooring might well have been back in New Rochelle it was so far away. Won't be back until the season dies down a little. You really need to get at least 3 boats in total
Staff is very pleasant and professional.
The marina did not confirm or deny our reservation and when we arrived they were booked. If they were booked they should have responded immediately so other plans could have been made
Great place. Laid back and casual. 2 things...40 dollar lobster roll x3 and 30 dollar mooring fee is exorbitant.
Nice for a one night stop, after we fueled and got our dock assignment all dock hands were running launch boats so we had to tie up ourselves
Excellent Marina. Easy walk to town. Nice yacht club also
We were very impressed with the staff we encountered. From radio communications to obtain our mooring ball assignment, launch operators, fuel/water dock line handlers, and office staff - everyone was professional, knowledgeable, capable, and friendly/greeted guests. Throughout everyone was consistent. The marina managers should be very proud. My review this year is essentially the same (the staff is amazing and professional) - what is different? I would suggest the launch slow down as they are working their way through the fleet. I’m sure someone must have complained that the wait time was too long, but they have to realize the mooring field is quite large. Go back to slower operating speed. Love this place!
Very efficient ride to and fro the boat with my family and dog. Thank you.
Cooper bluff was slow service
great spot and great service/
Only complaint I have is tender boats need to adhere to the no wake rules when passing moored boats.
Great launch driver. Didn’t use any other services.
Such a great spot! Nice calm water great service beautiful, attentive and fast pick up and amazing Restaraunts in the area
Staff friendly and helpful but showers are terrible. Bugs on the wall, very small, no a/c. Really need to upgrade.
Nice spot. Good launch service.
Nice spot. Limited dock space but good mooring location and launch service was great.
Our stay was lovely. The mooring was pretty far out but the launch service was excellent so no issues there. The mooring ball and line were clean and easy to grab.
We mistakenly booked mooring res, thinking we had a slip. Team here accommodated us on the dock even though that clearly interfered with their efforts to haul boats. Their flexibility and service orientation much appreciated.
Great location and the launch was very prompt. Delivered some supplies I needed to me on my mooring too.
Very nice facility, with nice new docks, great service and a very helpful staff. While we were gone they called the local pump out boat to pump out our holding tank. I look forward to going back. The bar looked like fun too, but we did not have time to check it out
Simple mooring pickup with a nice pennant. The launch was coming to direct us but we got lucky and drove right to it. The launch was great and responsive. The town is small, cute and very walkable. Great place to stay.
Launch service was very prompt. Nice folks. Walk to the city was a welcome way to stretch our legs. They helped us navigate to our mooring and we found it easily even though we hadn’t been there before. Thanks!
Sailing Catamaran - 44' X 25' X 4' Stopped here while heading west on LIS, hoping to visit the Teddy Roosevelt Home and pick up some provisions. Some earlier comments indicated OBMC would allow you to tie up your dinghy here while visiting town. This is either gone or depends on who's on duty. I called to ask and they told me they don't allow it, but I could do a "short stay" on one of their moorings and get picked up by the launch. When I asked what a "short stay" would cost, the rep told me "$1.00 or $1.50, I don't know". I also tried Sagamore Yacht Club, which I heard was more friendly to transient boats at anchor, but nobody ever answered the phone (9:30 am on a Wednesday). Nobody picked up at the Teddy Roosevelt Marina either. All of these places were open according to their websites. I thought about tying up my 11' dinghy to an OBMC mooring ball and taking the launch in, but decided to just move on. It just seemed like such silly lengths to go to just to go ashore. Oyster Bay, like other Long Island harbors, caters to dock and mooring clients pretty exclusively. That business model may make sense here, but for my purposes, I didn't find it a welcome or compelling place to take my modest business.
Great place and great service
Great location in oyster bay
Great staff and the food/drinks were excellent.
Quick and easy launch service, friendly staff.
Great ... gracious ... bonus gift card 👍👍👍
Very pretty location, well protected from bad weather. Fuel dock, ships store, modest shower facilities. New restaurant in marina, stores, other restaurants 1/4 mile walk.
Great location and the staff is great. We were on a mooring so only services needed/utilized was the tender. Brendon was our Operator and he was great. Also, using the Dockwa app makes things so simple in booking, confirming, paying, etc. We also stopped in the new waterfront bar (Cooper Bluff) and it was fun. Was a bit "buggy" last night so they will need to address this (they had cans of bug spray available but I hope that is a short term fix only!). All in all a great stay in Oyster Bay.
We checked in good morning were there for 4 hours on The Mooring we went out for 45 minutes and came back and someone else is on her Mooring he called Oyster Bay they go oh we thought you left I didn't tell him that we were leaving we weren't leaving and then we'll have to find you someplace else in the Mooring field what's up with that they confirmed they give me more involved I'm there for 4 hours I go out for 45 minutes sale off the morning and come back and then give him my morning to someone else that is really upsetting I have no faith in these guys when they give you a mooring it's real
Dock was inundated with drunk patrons from Marina’s Bar at the head of the dock. You cannot get a good night sleep with crowds moving up and down the docks cheering and having push cart races.
Easy mooring field. Walk to town. Helpful friendly staff, and a pretty cool bar scene right ashore.
Guys at gas station very helpful docking on a quite windy day. They called the pump out boat for us, who pumped out while we were gassing up.
Great protected moorings. Wild Honey in town has great food. There’s also a food truck with outdoor seating and live music right at the dock. Oyster Bay Marina Launch Service on channel 71 was fast helpful and easy. Great choice for an overnight stay.
Good stay! A $25 credit at the bar.
Launch drivers and dock staff are great. Very easy finding our mooring. But the new dockside bar is a nightmare. Bathrooms and showers are almost unusable in the morning. A ton of young drinkers (are they really 21?!) add nothing to the boating experience.
Great launch service! Good mooring with a great view of Center Island.
Lovely harbor, peaceful stay on the mooring, excellent launch service, nice and professional staff. Only negative is the bathrooms/showers which could use an upgrade. We'll be back!
Dock hands very accommodating and the floating dock was first rate. Will want to return! John Caddell, Owner YOREL
Great staff. New Restaurant was fun!
Clean facilities. The bar and food truck (Cooper Bluff) is very popular.
Dropped by for an evening's stay. The mooring was easily found and retrieved, the launch service was pretty fast, and the launch boys quite knowledgeable about local eateries and the LIRR times. Downside - the bar/restaurant patrons of Cooper Bluff. The bathrooms (showers, too) were a mess by 9:30p and qualified as disaster areas in the morning. Hence the missing star. I think whatever the Marina could control was pretty good, but it is not clear to me that they actually own and operate Cooper Bluff.
Friendly staff and capable dockhands. However, no breaker at pedestal so had to handle hot cords in the rain for shore power hookup. Showers small and not air conditioned, one stall out of order, dilapidated appearence, open to bar patrons so shower dirty by morning. Overall, too expensive for the amenities provided. On a positive note, good shuttle service for boats moored.
It took over 90 minutes getting a mooring assignment and getting picked up by the launch. Booking in advance didn’t seem to matter, it was my first time trying to use Dockwa. It was a bit painful. I should probably be refunded Since half my stay was waiting. First world problems for sure.. had to wait on my yacht for a bit before I could make it interesting the bar.. lol.
Great location great service good people
Super friendly staff! Short walk to town, great for dogs.
Another spectacular night in Oyster Bay. Cocktails on the mooring, lobster rolls and live music at Cooper Bluff and a mind blowing drone and fireworks display put on by the Dolan family! Keeps getting better!
I was impressed by the overall organization of OBMC. Launch: Operators were skilled, friendly and QUICK! The launches themselves were in excellent appearance and running order. The dock facilities were good to excellent. The "shore heads" could use updating and 'spiffing' up.
Very responsive staff. Enjoyed our stay
Friendly staff. They now have a bar on the grounds
Very friendly and convenient.
Great location for oyster fest
Great floating docks beautiful town
Lovely place! Enjoyed! The moorings are very close together and with the current and wind sometimes opposed, there were times when we got so close to the boats on either side that we began to worry. All was ok, but we recommend keeping fenders out. Very nice launch drivers, although sometimes a long wait.
Friendly service at a beautiful spot.
Nice people. Clean facilities. Billy Joel stopped by and had a drink aboard.
They were totally unprepared. We had reservations for dockge, thinking a slip. Instead when we showed up we were put on the outside next to the gas docks. We were traveling with another boat and were tied up just a stern of their boat. The launches and drivers have absolutely no regard for the no wake zone. They were speeding around all day and night throwing wake and the boat was constantly slamming into the docks. We all decided to take a tour around on our friends boat. Telling them that we would be back and to keep our spot open to return, figured we didn't have to tell them since we were staying for 2 nights. When we returned there was a 100 foot yacht tied up right to my bow. It was a chartered yacht, just like the show on tv. Guess where they hang out and party, yeah at the stern on top of me. As well, their generators were blaring into the night with fumes. Did i forget to mention we had a toddler on board trying to sleep! We complained and they moved us more on the inside right next to the aluminum ramp to come down the dock so at 7am when you are trying to rest all you hear is the carts being rolled and banged up and down with people coming and going loud as can be. One dock hand, Colin?, was rude as he'll and lucky he didn't get leveled by me. My wife asked for them to please keep the noise down, she turned her back and he flipped her the bird. I saw it. We asked for ice and the cube bags came half melted and refrozen to half a block and smelt like fish. Apparently they keep the frozen bait fish in the ice box with ice. Something there doesn't sound too sanitary. All in all it was overpriced for shitty service and accommodations. Will never go again.
On Monday July 2nd, the rudder of our Jeanneau Fantasia broke while we were sailing close to Oyster Bay. Fortunately, we were able to motor to Oyster Bay Marine Center and dock there. I was able to remove the rudder to confirm it was cracked midway. Dylan and Anton from Oyster Bay Marine Center were quickly able to diagnose the issue (water had gotten in and weakened the structure) and to propose a repair strategy, which we agreed to. At the end of day Tuesday July 3rd, we got the rudder back. I installed it on Wednesday morning and we sailed out to our next destination. The service we received from the marina was excellent , the staff was very courteous and always ready to help. Special kudos to Dylan for helping us until the last minute and Anton for doing an excellent job on the eve of July 4th. Delphine et Bruno
I recently had the pleasure of working with Oyster Bay Marine. I purchase a boat they had in winter storage. Mac Hyney and his staff did a great job working with the surveyor, the Captain, and prepping the boat for the trip to FL. This was all done in March 2018 while 4 nor'easters were pounding the Marina. The staff went out of their way to meet my needs and to protect the boat until the weather improved. It is hard to find honest people with integrity, but Mac Hyney is one of those people. Great service at a fair price. Thank you
I have been a customer of OBMC for 38 years now, have seen two different owners and 5 different managers. One thing has remain consistent, the customer comes first. A new manager and staff have taken over the reigns of control and need to prove themselves to me. This occurred the beginning of the season in 2018. With my winter storage being in water, I needed to leave the dock by 4/1. With nasty weather preventing the placement of moorings, Dylan worked with me and assured my mooring would be in place and launch service available. The trip over was wet and cold, but much to my relief there was my mooring as promised. I am so glad OBMC is maintaining the standards of excellent service, as I have seen for years. Come see the new renovations being done to improve customer comfort as well!
I'm from Maine and traveled to Oyster Bay a couple of times while purchasing a local boat. The staff at Oyster Bay treated me very well, and the customer service I received was world class! Thank you Mac and Dylan!
Came here to fuel up, good price for diesel. Then decided to go in to town for dinner. We requested and were directed to a seasonal owner's slip that was open for the day. Upon our return 2 hours later we found that the charge for our boat was $105 (3/ftx35ft)!! The next day I called the office thinking this was a mistake (the Sagamore Yacht Club on the next dock I later found out was $25/day for a mooring), but was told "sorry, that's our charge, nothing we can do about it". Next time to Oyster Bay we go next door!
Beautiful location. Lovely staff. Moorings far away from marina and marina a short walk but hot walk to town
Very nice visit, great service
Outstanding marina operations. Launch service is excellent. Excellent mooring field with stick pick up for mooring lines. Mooring balls are clearly labeled. Very friendly and helpful Marina management. Short walk into town, wide chose of good restaurants. WIld Honey (in Victorian house used by Roosevelt) was our choice for lunch. Good wine and beer selection. Handy grocery Verrellis market-small but it has all of the essentials with a nice deli. Evening races are fun to watch.
Well run place. Prompt launch service. No complaints at all.
Our stay in Oyster Bay was as pleasant as always. The staff at OMBC are always helpful and courteous. The town is a short 10-minute walk from the marina with Carvel ice cream cold and waiting for you. Since last time I was there, less than a month ago, they raised their mooring rates by 50 cents per foot. There might be some good reason for a mid-season 25% price increase but compared with nearby yacht club fees, Oyster Bay just went down on our list of regular destinations.
Marina accomodations were great and staff was fantastic. Will definitely go back!!
Great place. Clean guest moorings and friendly staff.
Very nice mooring field. Well marked and easy to navigate.
