Another fantastic stay. The dock staff are always great and make for easy docking. Great grounds, restaurant, pool , always just a wonderful time. May try to sneak even one more before they close for the season.

Safe harbor montauk is absolutely amazing! The staff is excellent, very helpful and attentive to guests and very friendly. The resort is beautiful with lots to do! John and Guy in the marina office are great! One of our favorite spots to visit!

It’s always a pleasure at the Montauk Yacht Club, first class facility, paired with the best in the business. All of the seasonal and other transient boaters were, as always, very friendly, which makes this place as good as it gets.

The place is beautiful! The closest bathhouse was not - no air (very hot and muggy, smelly), needs updating. Other than that, the place is amazing.

We love coming here. The dock team is always on hand to help and the newly opened Ocean Club is a must…excellent food and drinks and always a great atmosphere.

I have been coming here for years. It's great to see the same familiar faces at the dock. John and Guy ALWAYS make it easy as well as all the rest of the crew.

Fantastic location, Marina has every feature you'd want ( except fuel ). Staff is very helpful, and responsive . David ( dockhand ) can jump right on the boat and get all 6 lines tied down for you. Dock masters John and Guy make every effort to make your stay great. Free Hamptons shuttle bus service from the hotel, pools, gym, restaurant, stores, convenience store for breakfast items and drinks, other restaurants within walking distance, or take the shuttle into town.

My husband and I recently stayed at Montauk Yacht Club. We have been staying at this marina for about 10 years. Although it has changed hands a couple times over the last several years, everything offered is still top-notch. John and his dock hands are amazing and very skilled at what they do. Would definitely recommend this marina to others.

WiFi worked great. The restaurant was not good. There were 4 of us & at least 2 different menus with different pricing. The chicken was $38 on one & $44 on the other. One menu had pizza, mine did not. Finally, adding 4% for "colleagues", which the server said was for colleges was ridiculous. We will never go back & always ate at the restaurant there in the past at least one of our nights there.

Don't know why they advertise in Cruising Guide. For the last thee years have tried to get dock space. Marina manager never answers and never returns phone calls. Not a real good advertisement for Safe Harbor

It was our first time there. And we had an awesome time. John and his crew were great. Very friendly and attentive we will definitely be back.

Wonderful stay! Easy online booking, helpful dock hands, clean showers right at the end of the dock and convenient access to pool and amenities. Our new favorite marina away from home!

Hasn't changed much except there are no longer enough toilet and shower facilities since they blew up the poolside building. Also lost power early in the morning due to electric issues with a step up transformer that they'd installed between the boat and the pedestal. My boat has a low voltage setting so I didn't need it anyway but the power situation could be better. Staff and dock hands are great. Bar scene is great. Pools are nice.

We are transients and always feel like we've always belong there. Just discovered your beach, and we love it. Restaurants are great, service is great. 2 things I would like see is bar & food service at beach and at the pool, a better policy for people who put towels on the chairs as early as possible and don't return for hours, very frustrating, otherwise keep up the great job. Your dock guys are over the top

The overall facility is beautiful. Nice restaurant, pools, staff. We came in on our boat and although we have the ability to use our own bathroom and shower, when docked, we like to use a marinas facilities. Unfortunately, the bathroom/shower accommodations for a facility of your caliper and price ($$$$$), was incredibly disappointing. For the entire dock area there is only one mens toilet/shower room and the same for women. The toilet was broken in the mens room. No ventilation and it is the same facility used by the marina employees. Honestly, disgusting. I would expect much better from Safe Harbor.

It really has everything and nothing quite compares to it (tennis, spa, good running, great food, only 2 miles from Ditch Plains and short Uber to town. You can be remote as you want or not. Dockhands are great and John the Dockmaster is a very experienced master

The new Safe Harbor Yacht Club is an excellent property. You feel like you are on vacation and all the amenities are great. What’s not to love about Montauk? Guy was so accommodating and we were very appreciative of his effort his dedication. The whole staff are professionals. No 17 year old kids with no clue running the docks.

Great experience. The Montauk Yacht Club is a beautiful well-kept marina with lots to do. The pools were great, especially after a hot day in the sun. Highly recommend this marina.

Visited on 7/2023 and had a great time, they had a free shuttle to town running and activities like movie night. Great staff and facilities.

Montauk has always been a great place to go. Unfortunately it’s not the Montauk of 10 yrs ago. Feels more like who wants to be seen in Montauk.

Great stay at Montauk Yacht club. Amenities are fabulous and open to all boaters. We watched a movie on the dock (complete with couches, blankets and popcorn); rode complementary bikes to Gossman’s Dock and watched a sunset.; paddle boarded in the morning. Lots to do at that marina. Attendants on the dock were helpful. It is a boaters resort. We will be going back in the future

The entire staff from the dock master, to the docking crew were exceptional. They were extremely polite, very helpful, and helped out in anyway they could. Would highly recommend coming to this marina as it is leagues ahead of others. Well worth the little bit extra cost. Facilities and marina grounds were extremely well kept and it was a totally enjoyable vacation.

It was great! The dock persons were a huge help. The people were very friendly and the place was spotless! Great restaurants, too. We’d go back again someday.

This place really is super. The docks are nice, the dockhands are the best we’ve ever come across. The grounds are beautiful, 2 outside pools,1 indoor pool that saved the day for our kids when it rained. They gave us all umbrellas to keep when we headed into town on the FREE shuttle. The front desk also gave our kids each a stuffed animal crab. The restaurants are good with multiple options from fancy to take out. I can’t say enough… I think it’s my new happy place.... UPDATE- Another stellar stay! We stayed better part of a week and had a blast. Dock hands were great as always, John gave us a free nights stay because we moved slips to accomodate for a couple big yachts. Was a pleasant surprise! Thanks we'll be back again soon!

Had an awesome experience from beginning to end of our stay. The dockmaster, John, and dockhand, Jack, were of great assistance in landing and securing our vessel safely. The restaurant, bar, and pool staff went out of their way to ensure our visit was top-notch. We will be making this a stop in our future adventures.

MYC is always a great place to visit. The marina team is incredible and help ease you right into your slip. Anything you need is only a radio call away and it arrives dockside. We love spending time at MYC and will make several more trips there this summer.

Montauk Yacht Club Dream Weekend was exceptionally well run from docking, to dinners, to activities. Fun, fulfilling and relaxing.

The dock crew who catch your lines as you back into the slip are fantastic. They gave great directions to our slip and as soon as they could get onto our boat, they secured all the lines. John, the dock master was very helpful in making the reservation especially since we took advantage of the Safe Harbor member benefits. Great "shop" to grab coffee and a breakfast sandwich in the morning. And of course, what a beautiful location.

this a huge property....very large boats...hotel rooms the whole 9 yards....fixed docks make it difficult if your dingy is on your stern....the wifi is bad and the restrooms and showers are few for such a large marina...not all of us have a 60 ft Bertram and we use the showers at the marina....heated pool....the guys that help tie up your boat are the best I have seen which helps since you back down between 2 or 3 pilings to a fixed (no floating docks) dock.

Staff is excellent and knowledgeable, and the pool/restaurant/activities facilities and grounds are top notch. WiFi at the docks was not great, and the bathrooms could use some updating. The chemical mixture in the pool by the villas was likely off a bit. Both of my kids' eyes had major irritation, which has never happened before.

Dockmaster on point. Dennis was excellent to get us situated at the slip. Definitely would recommend.

Greatly overpriced, food quality was horrible and cold, food service quality was less than that of a fast food restaurant. Crumbling docks. Peeling paint on the buildings. Oily scum line in the main pool. The best part of our stay was leaving.

The location and employees at the marina are great. This is an awesome nice resort with lots of amenities. We experienced a boat several down from us that was partying until 2:00am. Not fun! As a new Safe Harbor marina, the should begin to police this behavior much better.

Gurney's Star Island is the best marina anywhere near the Northeast. Great location, excellent staff, top restaurants. Can't think of going anywhere else in Montauk.

After a reasonably pleasant stay, including a good meal at Il Forno, we encountered an unfortunate event wholly created by Guerney's themselves. While departing the slip, a loose dock line on the piling, apparently there for many months as it was slimy, wrapped around my prop. Although this was very poor marina management and seamanship, stuff happens, and we as mariners deal with it. How the Dockmaster 'dealt with it' blew me away. While another boater fended my vessel off, keeping me from being pinned between boat and piling, [THANKS SO MUCH LANCE FROM 'OFFICE SPACE'/ MADISON CT] I DOVE WITH MASK/ SNORKEL AND CUT THE LINE AWAY. The Dockmaster came by, shrugged his shoulders and walked away. When I went up to office he was busy answering some critical emails and could just barely muster a 'gee sorry' response. Apparently for $400/ night Guerney's lets their customers assist each other in correcting their mistakes and hide away in the office hoping to not be found. Very poor service indeed. Great resort, pool, restaurant. Bikes. Near other restaurants and shops, and a shop hop to town. Nice little beach, tennis courts, it has it all.

Always a pleasure staying at Gurney’s Star Island! Guy, David, Dennis, and the rest of the gentleman in the dock office run a great show, are so helpful and accommodating. And fun! The resort amenities are wonderful. We love the cafe and the restaurant, sitting poolside, listening to great music, enjoying the hip ambiance. Gurney’s does all of their project with great style! There is also a Gurney’s Shuttle Bus which will escort you into town and their other Oceanside resort, which has a first-class spa. And there is a very vibrant fishing scene out on the docks. Everyone is so warm and friendly. We shall return again and again. Thank you, Gurney’s!

We liked the marina and the dock hands were great. The restaurant was unorganized and I split a bill with someone I was having dinner with and they charged him half and me the entire bill. They said that was normal and I would only be charged half? Never heard that before. Well they took the full amount so now I have to call my CC. Pain

What a fantastic trip! The Dockhands here are through the roof exceptional, they can have you tied up with 6 lines by the time you’re even shutting your engines down. Both John & Guy from management make you feel super welcome and can answer any questions you may have for the duration of your stay.

Excellent! Just what you would expect from Gurney's. Great facilities, clean premises, lots to do. Boaters are treated as guests at the resort, which makes all the difference. Pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Very attentive staff, use of resort of amenities and ability to use those at the other Gurney's are great. Not advertised is a 20% discount on resort purchases for marina guests. The restaurant would not refund the 20% once I knew and went back.

Nicest marina we’ve stayed at. Staff was so helpful and kind. Liam was very timely in helping us dock and getting us in easily. John got us all set up with our reservation and helped us get a courtesy car to explore for a couple of hours. Nicest courtesy car ever. Good location with docking ease. Beautiful marina. Great Deck Hands, very crowded, both pools were mobbed. Just average food in restaurants and portions were a joke is some cases. They assigned us a 17.5 ft wide slip for a 16.5 wide boat in front of the villas really? The first evening the 50 amp service died and we couldn't find another post that was working anywhere on the dock. It took until 3 pm the following afternoon to get fixed. The whole electrical grid for the villa docks is in need of some serious investment/replacement. When asked the front desk said the shuttle was not running to its sister location in Montauk either. We don't mind paying a bit more to visit a luxury resort, but there was very little real luxury that we could find.

Recent stay was great. Dock staff were all excellent, facilities were clean. Only issue is the resorts treatment of boaters. Having previously stayed the bike rental was always a big reason why we stay here. This trip we were told that because of people leaving bikes on the docks that they no longer rent to boaters. Paying a premium to dock and not being offered all the amenities is something that will probably have us looking elsewhere for our next trip to Montauk.

Well going there many times previously it COVID has certainly taken its toll on this establishment. When you offer a fraction of the amenities you cannot charge $500.+ for 45 ft boat. It is nothing more than a place to slip your boat.

Bathrooms were horrible. Dock had many loose boards with dangerous screws not tight that could cause injury. Pool area was very nice and so was the attendant.

First class operation. Dock help was superb. We arrived just ahead of Hurricane Dorian’s passing with a stiff E wind. They were able to assist in a most professional way to get us situated securely for the night. Job well done!

This was our first visit since it became Gurneys. We needed to stay this Labor Day weekend where our adult children could come out by car. We decided to try Gurneys recognizing it is very expensive but understanding we wanted a resort like experience. They delivered on every front from accommodating our early arrival, great slip location that was near the action but far enough away to not keep you up, superb dockhands who knew what they were doing, a great restaurant (Showfish), very well maintained tennis courts and very helpful and service oriented staff. They made sure our 14 month old granddaughter was comfortable in Showfish and even went so far as to gift her a Gurneys whale plush doll. Wonderful family vacation and worth the extra expense.

Great place but asked for bocci balls for court, told they were getting them, waited over an hour to find out they didn’t have any. Then saw them for sale in gift shop for $35 a set. Couldn’t they have provided to us or at least let us know. No cable TV at marina??? Can’t give a 5 star resort 5 stars for these oversights. In fairness, they did waive the resort fees for the inconvenience.

Loved the location of our slip. Overall great. The boat next to us BLASTED MUSIC at night. At the takeout shop Where coffee and muffins were served the bagel was stale and the to go salads were embarrassingly scarce looking (maybe 3 pieces of lettuce ($12). Very unappetizing to say the least. that really shouldn’t be at an upscale resort.

Out overall marina stay was fantastic. Super friendly crowd on the docks and dockhands are easy enough to flag down as they go by or on VHF. Free ice is a plus. Great food onsite at the restaurant or delivered to the boat, and a little ice cream shop (were all great). Town is a short Uber ride with more great restaurants. A bit disappointed on how difficult it is to get a seat by the pool as it is not very large thus has limited seating (will probably utilize the shuttle to the beach next time). Beyond that we loved it. We will definitely be back!

Even though they advertise 50 amp/240volt service. Their outlets are 50amp/208 volt service. Not good for running A/C units. Had to use generator. Staff friendly and helpful.

We had a great stay at Gutneys Marina at Montauk. Gurneys has poured a lot of money into the facility and its fantastic! Great stay, great food and environment.

The Montauk Yacht Club is a very nice marina, but beware of what you paying for, at check out you have so-called surcharges that they dont tell you about when making the reservations and check in. Dont get me wrong the place is awesome, the staff is great and very helpful but if they stayed on top of a few things, like make sure their is hot water in the morning for your shower that would be a little helpful. The shuttle to town was really helpful as far finding places to go and eat. Would I stay somewhere else? Probably not been there twice, we may go back again?
