As a Safe Harbor member, this one ranks in my top! The layout, the easy access to fuel dock, the wide fairways, the restaurant (and free music) the work yard if needed. The pool and other amenities! We love it and it’s so close to the Ft Pierce inlet!! 5 stars
For Loopers and other boaters, this is a gem between all the supermarinas in this area. The owner and his crew are delightful. The marina is perfect, clean, nice facilities and walkable to the artsie small town with some great shops and restaurants! We only stayed one night, should have been several!!
Excellent marina, great facilities (pool, hot tub, captains lounge, free bikes) close to small outside mall with Publix, west marine, great clips, restaurants. Dockmaster Louis was awesome. Stayed late to help us tie up, great communicator!
Information shared before arrival was very good with slip assignment. (They could add a marina map on that email) , also missing on email (and in waterway guide) is that they are on channel 9,and don’t monitor 16. Sowhen we arrived at Marina our assigned slip was taken. We were already in the basin and it was pretty windy. They told us on the VHf that a new assignment had been emailed that morning (we double checked later, they had not) but that slip was taken as well. So we were directed to leave the basin and wait outside. We waited 5 minutes, not bad, to get an assignment that was fine. We enjoyed the stay, the marina was nothing fancy. But clean and ok!
Due to weather we decided to go into Muskegon. We opted for the Adelaide Pointe Marina as it was closer to the town (20 minutes easy walking distance), is brand new, has a pool and a great restaurant on site. And a bit cheaper than safe harbour! Big mistake! Although nothing is mentioned on Dockwa, nor their website, it is a construction area. The docks are more or less done, most have electricity. The pool is not ready, no toilet and shower facilities, roads to town not completed, restaurant still a shell. But they still charge you the full $3.50. When I complained about it I got an immediate answer with apologies and a free night, when I responded that we left as there was a weather window and asked for a partial refund, we heard nothing anymore. Apparently this will be completed in a month or so. So….. Why do they charge the full (very high) price for a construction site??? This will be a nice marina when it’s done (I don’t believe one month). Still a good walking distance to Muskegon which frankly, can be a big ‘skip’ on your list. Not much to see and do. Several restaurants, Barely any shops. If you go, skip this marina this year and pay the extra quarter at Safe Harbour or anchor just 500 Yards past the marina!
Great place to be, small but excellent! Nice walk to little town. Nice restaurant on site and nice facilities
Best kept secret in NJ /NY harbor. Marina is best value in area and has great access to NYC by ferry (50 yards away) and subway (PATH) Rene is amazing and will help you with any questions. Getting into marina was a breeze and very quiet nights! Very happy we went here and not across the inlet!!
Good dock, good price. There is not really a town, but we had a good walk up and down hill.
Easy access, Good price and cute little town to stroll around. Great restaurants!
Nice marina, great people! not setup for transients, but it worked very well. Good pricing and excellent Diesel price! Good staging for going further north
Good price, Good facility, good dock, good electricity excellent staff. Nice pool area and walking distance to two restaurants, Courtney’s, mom and dad and daughter, awesome good priced fresh seafood and 450’s, overpriced, poor service and quality soso restaurant. Biking distance (complimentary) to old town St Mary’s, which is a worthwhile museum /little town to visit!
Great reciprocal club. Good and easy dock with 50 amp for our 45 ft North Pacific. Right in lovely old town Alexandria. The clubhouse is brand new and amazing. Food was excellent!!! People were very friendly!! Gary made it work!!
